We flew easyjet last year with cardboard boxes. The boxes we purchased from schipoll airport for the return flight were huge. As above i would get a smaller box from your local bike shop.

+1 for the Loake chester brogue. Look good, last well and made in the UK.

    The missus used Resolver.

They do not charge anything and are endorsed by Martin Lewis.

I wish I had taken out PPI all those years ago as it seems a good savings scheme :).

My only gripe when I read about this earlier today was that they should have put him on a £10 or £20 note. He deserves the respect and recognition for what he did.

I have never done a century.

I did 3 consecutive 90+ mile days last year cycle touring and also did a few 90+ single day rides. Planning on a cycle tour next year averaging 100 miles a day but it has never been a target for me.

We go to quite a few football away matches and use Justpark.com to find parking spaces; usually on peoples driveways. I prefer to park away from the stadium as its quicker to get away as you can avoid the queues.

Well done to the blades. Its great to see a team that does not have a huge budget do so well.

Not so good for us Rotherham fans today getting relegated to league one. It was a long drive back from West Brom.

The reason Ronnie has not been No. 1 for a while is because he no longer plays in all tournaments.

I got free tickets for one of the semi finals of last years crucible. It was not the most exciting way to spend 3 hours of my time.

We are staying in a holiday home near Ingleton. We had a great walk yesterday and the footpaths were mostly empty. My wife wanted to walk the Ingleton Falls trail today. I have never seen a trail so busy.

mrb123 – I used it to get a fiver off a bottle of El Dorado 12 Year Old Rum so it works for some booze.

    Thanks for the replies.

We have a Decathlon nearby so i will pop in to have a look. Ideally i would prefer a tent that is around 1.5kg or less but i guess it makes very little difference.

The MSR Hubba Tour 1 looks a great choice but the cheapest i can find it is £350 which is over my budget.

I live in Bolton on Dearne and have used the TPT to cycle to work in Barnsley for the last 10 years. I have seen some strange sights but have never seen a deer.

I was happy enough with the free version of ridewithgps when we used it for our cycle tour in Europe.

A lad i used to go drinking with in my younger days had a tattoo on his back that read ‘Chips, Egg & Beans’. Obviously enjoyed the meal as much as you lot.

    To eat less rubbish.

I do plenty of exercise and we usually eat healthy meals. Its the snacks that are the problem.

    M520 +1. I have them on all 3 bikes.

Aldi winter cycling gloves are also great for a fiver.

I bought a ‘Christopher Ward C5 Malvern MkII’ from Ebay earlier this year. This is the only watch i own.

I prefer dress watches rather than the more complicated designs.

Pinnacle Akrose 3 would be my pick. £900 if you trade in a junk bike. Spend the other £600 on a bike trip or 600 cans of Stella.

We keep our home clean(ish) but would rather spend our free time enjoying hobbies and having quality time with the kids rather than constantly cleaning and decorating.

The clutter does annoy me sometimes though.

Definitely avoid Roppongi; its the Japanese equivalent of Magaluf. We loved the nightlife in Shibuya though.

I found the food great with the exception of breakfast. I would definitely recommend going to a restaurant outside of the usual tourist hotspots.

Unfortunately i was with work when i went so i did not get chance to see much. I would love to go again though.

As a food manufacturer we do not allow employees to bring nuts to work.

Common practice in the food industry.

I also think its reasonable if an employee has a nut allergy.

Never mind the angry ebike dude. I am more annoyed at the roadie (in the photo next to him) not wearing an helmet.

Next have a good selection of casual shirts.

I don’t mind spending decent money on jeans and shoes but begrudge spending £50+ on shirts.

Depends on your budget really. The Grand Amrath is a nice hotel in a good location and you can sometimes get it at reasonable money. If you are feeling flush the Sofitel Legend and Krasnapolsky are also nice but too expensive for my wallet (i have only ever stayed with work).
