I could not stop myself doing the Barnsley war cry when I saw the prices on the mrporter site…ar much!! if I was a multi millionaire I would not spunk 1200 quid on a jumper.

I cannot believe how much lights have come down in price in the last 12 months. is anybody still paying 500 quid plus for lupine etc?

I find the cheap flexible ones best. less likely to damage surfaces. cannot recommend a brand as all mine are freebies from work.

I have the mule which is about 4 years old now and would recommend it. I have just bought a alpkit Guordon for commuting and for the price it’s a great bag. not tried it with a bladder yet though.

My commute is on similar terrain (trans pennine trail). I have a boardman hybrid but will get a cx next.

The comedy suits my sense of humour. A huge improvement over the usual rubbish i have to put up with in our household.

Forrest Gump – far fetched and typically American but also a great movie.

Superbad – i should be too old to enjoy this type of movie

The hole is the best bit. Cannot understand why anyone would choose a bagel over a nice crusty bread roll.

My friend lives in Dubai with his wife and 2 children. He says the schools are excellent with small class sizes. He is out there for 3 years.

I would not like to live there personnally.

My wife is going for a few days in November with friends. I cannot see the appeal of the place and have no intention of ever going.

We have just come back from Costa caleta in fuerteventura. I can recommend the resort as there are plenty of nice bars and restaurants which do not attract the wrong people. The hotel was not fantastic however and I would not recommend.

Road bikes are comfortable if you get the right size. I have had a Boardman hybrid for three years now though and cannot fault it. It’s more road orientated than a lot of hybrids.

I tend to jump out of bed a lot with bad dreams rather than actual sleep walking. It looks like I may have torn my cartilage this time.

Its the same as when they replaced king sized mars bars with the twin pack. Nobody shares them they just eat both (then feel guilty for being greedy b******s). I dont blame mars though. Nobody in business plans to sell less year on year.

I have done about 3000 miles on my continental gatorskins without a single puncture. Cannot fault them.

I bought a brand new factory seconds ‘Montane Slipsteam’ from ebay a few weeks ago for £9. Packs really small.

Read about it in my local paper. I cycle in the village where it happened regularly. I presumed they had caught the idiots as one of the cyclists managed to get the registration number of the car.

Pro cyclists can be clean and still win races. Lance is a great example with 7 consecutive TDF wins.

I have just come back from 2 weeks in Fuerteventura. I like the people and the climate but there is not much in the way of scenery. I hired a bike and covered quite a few trails and everywhere looks the same.

I have a Boardman hybrid team (previous model). Its a cracking bike and very quick. I use mine for my 20 mile round commute 4 times a week.

Our bike shelter at work is out of sight and security is good so pretty safe. I would not buy one if you have to leave it somewhere that was not secure because the Boardman brand is well know to thieves due to the popularity.

i lost my wedding ring a couple of months ago. i have lost quite a bit of weight this year and think the ring slipped off when taking my bike gloves off.

not bothered about replacing it to be honest and the missus is not fussed.

I think we have used ours 3 times in 18 months. the picture is sharper but the price of blueray dvd’s stops me buying them.

Thanks for the replies. I thought i was healing so decided to spend all day yesterday gardening and dismantling a trampoline (bad idea). I woke up in the middle of the night in pain and had to take painkillers to get back to sleep.

i never learnt to ride a bike until i was 30. my parents were anti bikes due to a bad accident my older brother had.

i decided to learn when my son was 3 because i wanted to make sure he did not miss out.

i cycle a lot now but still feel i missed out as a child.
