Purchased a Longines Conquest GMT with a blue dial last month. The colour looks great in person.

We have just had a week in Filey. Sunday was the busiest I have ever seen the area but the rest of the week although still busy was ok. We are lucky that our kids break up a week earlier than most. The usual 2 hour journey home took closer to 4 hours but that was due to a ww2 bomb found near Google resulting in all roads in the area being closed.

This was the first time we have had more than a few days holiday in the U.K. for 15 years. It was great but the fantastic weather we have had obviously helped.

I think the High Fat, Sugar & Salt (HFSS) legislation that comes into effect in April next year will have a bigger impact. Supermarkets will no longer be able to offer multibuy deals or do end of aisle promotions on unhealthy products.

Justpark is a site where you can pay a few quid to rent someone’s driveway. I have used it a few times when going to away football mates. Safer than leaving it on a street I guess.

Rotherham fan here. Gutted not to stay up having been the best side all game. Missed too many chances in too many games.

I ordered a tent, bag, mat and pillow yesterday. I did not know the sale was on until I went on the site as I was going to place an order anyway. Well pleased with the saving. I went with the pipedream 200 bag. Hopefully this will be warm enough as I will only use it during the summer months.

Alpkit have a decent sale on their sleeping bags and other camping gear. The Pipedream 400 3 season bag is £150 currently.

Yeah it annoys me that you cannot cancel renewals online despite subscribing painlessly online.

@tjagain – I also never realised that Meghan Markle was mixed race until Danny Baker was sacked for the racist tweet regarding her baby.

My only advice would be to avoid Al Murad Tiles.

I placed an online order at the beginning of November. They took the money from my account but I did not receive the tiles or any order confirmation. I telephoned them numerous times and each time was promised that someone would call me back which never happened. Emails went unanswered.

I was eventually refunded 2 weeks ago but only after I lost my rag and went to my local store kicking up a loud fuss.

    Amazon Prime
    Zwift
    Audibles
    Netflix

We will be cancelling Amazon Prime as we only subscribe for a couple of months before Christmas for free delivery.

Audible is great for the commute to work. I detest the radio especially with the current doom and gloom.

I thought all trades people earnt £100k a year tax free.

Why would they risk that to steal a few bikes?

Potatoes for me. Life without fish & chips would be dismal.

I could quite easily give up pasta.

Thanks for the replies. The kitchen was fitted by a local company. They fitted our bathroom last month and did a great job which was the reason we asked them to do our kitchen. Plus there recommendations were good on Facebook.

    The hob is electric.

We rarely use more than 2 rings at a time so my thoughts are to just have something as protection on these occasions. Fitter is coming next week to have a look.

Another Audible user her. ‘Around the world by bike’ by Alistair Humphreys is a good listen.

If you only intend to wear it for walks to pubs/cafes then it needs to be a RAB jacket.

I use mine occasionally and find they are ok with helmet and glasses.

Sound quality is ok at a steady pace but you cannot hear anything when going downhill.

We have just gone down the same route.

Bathroom suite ripped out, old tiles and radiator removed.

Paid £4.5k including spotlights and ceiling plastering and 2 new door frames.

Tiles were not included and cost another £750.

I use both the rain shower head and directional shower head. How do you clean your nether regions without using the directional shower head?

Favourite – Coconut Boost was my favourite (they need to bring them back). Toblerone now.

Worst – Hershey’s. America sure does know how to produce crap food and beer

I use a ‘digital av adapter to hdmi’ to display from my iPhone to an old tv. Works fine imo although nothing to compare to.

Up until i was 40 years old i had no interest in watching football. I would be out on the bike enjoying the quiet roads when England were playing.

3 years ago my lad pestered me to take him to a game and we have been going ever since. I now actually enjoy it (how can you not enjoy it when you are following the mighty Rotherham? :).

Funnily enough my newfound love of football has not turned me into a racist, wife beating, lager swilling idiot.

A local fishing tackle shop will be able to give you advice on what to buy based on your budget.

Carp fishing can be complicated and expensive with all the equipment you need.

If you have any nice rivers nearby i would definitely recommend giving light lure fishing a good. You only need minimal equipment and it is an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

Steetley quarry in Conisborough has some good downhill tracks.

Apart from that most trails are pretty tame. If you have a gravel bike I would take that instead.

I have eaten some strange, unpleasant foods whilst working in Japan. However, for me Cottage Cheese is still the worst food I have come across.

I bought a pinnacle arkose d3 a few months ago.

Initially it felt too small as I was comparing it to my road bike.

I now find it perfect for the riding I do. I hardly use my road bike or hardtail.

You could charge £1.50 for a coke and £2.50 for a magnum but £1 and £2 respectively will sell a hell of a lot more.

    Round pound works.

People who wash and polish their cars every weekend. Surely there are better things they could be doing on a weekend.

People who get excited by real ale. I can drink the stuff but on a hot day a pint of San Miguel is just better.

I will not use it until early October so i will probably wait a few months before deciding.
