It was a nightmare getting in and out of the car park last year when we went to see Young Voices.

I would get the tram in if I went again.

Following on from squirrelking’s recommendation, city sauna on Attercliffe Road also offers big baps (if the tv documentary is anything to go by).

As others have said, 5 days is probably too long in Amsterdam.

We have just come back from Krakow which was enjoyable but again 5 days may be too much.

I would recommend Bratislava. It is a small city and probably covered in a day or two. However, it is only a short train journey from both Vienna and Budapest so you can see 3 cities in one trip.

We rode from Basel to Amsterdam a few years ago mostly following the EV15 route. We did take a more direct route a couple of days as we only had 6 days of riding. The EV15 route was mostly well surfaced paths and quiet roads and although mostly flat was enjoyable.

We have booked a flight to Split, Croatia for April next year with a return flight 1 week later from Tirana, Albania.

I love road cycling on quiet roads, especially in the summer. However, we all like different things.

Based on your post I doubt you will ever enjoy it.

    – I don’t wear Stone Island, but those that do rarely wear Gazelles or Fred Perry.

The supermarkets do not always receive the quantity they order from suppliers. Sometimes this is due to unforeseen circumstances or often become the supermarket has ordered more than the supplier is capable of producing.

For short shelf life products the supermarkets will not know of this failure to supply until a day or two before the product is due to reach store.

The kids are happy to spend all day in a pool and the wife is happy sat around the pool. I enjoy this for a couple of days but then need to get out either walking or cycling for an hour or two to break up the day.

I also do either a weekend city break or a weeks cycle touring with a few mates.

Its a pity that nobody makes a bag that fits underneath the saddle. This would be the perfect solution.

Not exactly answering your question but I completed by sons application online on the 26th May and we received the new passport on the 10th June. This included at least a day delay as they rejected the initial photo I submitted (this was rejected on the 6th June).

Holme Valley in Brockholes, West Yorkshire has a fishing pond with various coarse fish and a small stretch of stream with trout.

Last week the missus and I were walking along the TPT near Barnsley when we spotted a teenage lad emerging from some trees. My first thoughts were not positive but he was actually collecting litter on his walk. Top lad. We plan to do the same over the next few weeks.

We have just bought a ‘Vango Icarus 500 Deluxe Family Tent, which is a 5 person tent. They are currently selling for £229.00 on Go Outdoors.

There is a sleeping compartment meant for 3 people but probably only suitable for 2 adults. The other sleeping compartment would be fine for 2 children.

We will be using this for the first time on Friday. However, based on a garden trial run it seems ideal for us as it has decent living space but is not so big that it takes 2 hours to put up and take down.

If the weekend is a disaster I will sell it to you for a decent price :).

Thanks for the replies. I will try the Specialized shoes first as there is a stockist locally (JE James).

I have Lake wide fit shoes but find them too wide at the heel yet still slightly cramped in the toe box.

Based on the Covid reps response, the schools attitude to Covid and the fact it’s a private school I would also suggest sick leave with stress.

    Good luck!!

Broken ribs and the pain breathing was the worst pain I have experienced.

A dry socket following a tooth extraction was also very painful. Hope this does not happen to you Ton.

A Wendy house. I am a twin and generally got the same presents as my brother. He opened his first and it was a tent. Mine had been packed in the wrong box.

I had to wait until the new year for my parents to return it.

I was 30 years old when I learnt to ride a bike (having my first child was the deciding factor).

I had lessons with ‘Pedalling for Pleasure’ near Bournemouth. It took me about 10 minutes to get pedalling but a while longer to learn the basics.

Living in South Yorkshire I could have found somewhere closer to learn but was worried someone I knew may see me.

A river cruise appeals to me more than an ocean cruise. Not done either though.

We cycled the Rhine EV route in 2018 and stopped overnight in Koblenz and Cologne. Enjoyed both places.

The section of TPT i use to get to work often has a lot of joggers, walkers and cyclists wearing headphones.

I don’t mind as long as they are on one side of the path and I can pass safely. It’s the ones that are in the middle of the path and you cannot get their attention that annoy me.

My birthday is in October so its a no from me.

I only drink one day a week at the most anyway and often go a month during the summer without alcohol just because I like to be up early and out on the bike.

I guess it makes sense for the heavier drinkers.

We do not have many shops locally. I am therefore happy to buy most stuff online as I hate wasting my weekends shopping.

We do have a great diy shop who offer advice so I am happy to pay quite a bit more than going to one of the big stores.

If I do go to a shop to try clothing on and I am happy with the item I will buy it, regardless of how much cheaper I can buy it online.

Left handed. Kick off on the bike with my right foot. Hold my phone with my right hand. Cast a fishing rod with my right hand. When I used to play golf I used right hand clubs but held the club with my hands the wrong way round. I have to use both hands to pee obviously ;).
