Any pan that a magnet will stick to will work. Our Tefal does…

However if someone did break in then the’d have to be very brave or stupid to continue robbing the house with the alarm blaring.

This. If you were a burglar would you stick around? The louder the alarm inside the house, the better. Disorientates, distracts and stops them hearing the old bill or bomber wielders arrive.

Sacrificed far too much riding time on Avid Juicys with this…binned and got Shimano in the end

Have you not got any old ones you can pass on?

Well I was letting them use my current “old ones” but they’re too bright/too flimsy/too much faff potential. Hence the OP!

Good call – cheers. Probably don’t need to worry about rechargeables with battery life like that!

Ok not to have it in advert, imho, but should be possible to get the broad info as part of an informal pre-application chat.

13 year old 1.4 dsi here. Been in the family since new. NOTHING has ever gone wrong – no unexpected costs whatsoever. It’s not fast but it is very flexible and easy to drive. Replacing with company lease car this year with mixed feelings.

For the size, great for getting bikes in!

Some really great perspectives on here:

    Fast Jets

Looking at the vids on there, it stuck me how busy flying a fast jet is. Not much chance to savour the freedom and chuck it about for fun….

Also reminds me of my tourist heli flight down Grand Canyon. Pilot was busy on the radio pretty much all the time, making sure that post 911 air traffic controllers didn’t scramble the F16s from Nellis to keep us away from Vegas strip or the Hoover Dam….

Aye, you only approach the ground once per trip doing free fall! Fewer second chances though

Typing the OP was a first important and helpful step. It’s important to remember that trauma and grief impacts everyone differently – there is no correct way to feel at any stage. Sometimes well meaning people who can actually be quite close to you may get in the way. In my case, dealing with witnessing and trying to prevent the sudden death of my Dad was made harder by my other half who told me I was wrong to feel guilty about the outcome of my actions and decisions. She also became distressed when I was upset and we had a really rough year when I withdrew into myself and spent a year living with no emotions. Only a long works trip abroad with a complete change of scenery and company snapped me out of it.

All of this and loads more is common – so as others have said, find the right audience and keep talking. Here might be as good a place as any. Happy to help more specifically if you want to pm me.

still ‘holiday’ though, sometimes it’s nice just to sit still for a bit and forget your worries for a week.

Oh yeah – absolutely. So amongst the skydiving, scuba, sailing, snowboarding, wilderness trekking etc I also have a bucket list guilty pleasure of taking the kids all inclusive for a week!

Whilst cooking and eating dinner, did away with 3 black sheep that were discounted from co-op. Now I’m apparently a bad person.

TimD – I think you’ve onto something but the issue is that the educational mould that kids are being squeezed into is now so tight that anyone who doesn’t fit is either an academic write-off at a very early age or has a “problem”. They’re more likely to get help with the latter – even if that help is just more 1:1 attention and a different, more flexible approach to learning.

Been said already, but he’s a boy and he’s only 6.

The problem is with the school and the system really. “Targets” mean that the teaching staff have to try to ram as much into them as possible in as short a period of time. Schools with a fairly bright intake can be especially tough because what they get measured on is the improvement on the baseline at the start of the year or key stage. We noticed this when moving away from urban area to slightly posher neck of the woods I.e. The school push a lot harder.

Its sh1t really as the kids who aren’t natural academics are getting turned off to learning at a very early stage. Our 6 year old is really struggling with the transition to year 1 and he isn’t the only one in that year group. Parents requested a meeting to complain about the quantity and level of the homework (spelling test for 6yr old FFS!) and were simply told by the head of key stage 1 “well there’s a lot to get through….”

As others have suggested, you can help by doing things at home that promote focus I.e. Building toys and drawing / painting / craft work.

Only thing to watch on payg is expiry of credit…thieving barstewards that they are. Wouldn’t matter if you were dialling 999 or 112 though.

High sugar / low water content will make them fairly bacteriostatic, so I’d say safe.

Expiry dates based on how long they have lab tested before they got bored – they haven’t necessarily seen evidence of stuff growing before the expiry date.

Degree qualified biochemist here, working for a Pharma multinational. I’ll have a watch of the vid over the weekend as heads is mashed now. In the meantime, you could probably further establish the credentials of the author by looking to see how much of their work has been published in peer reviewed journals.

Just got a big mortgage. Via the broker we looked at life insurance (got), critical illness cover (too expensive), income protection for mortgage payments deferred for 6 months once work sick pay runs out (got). Also have death in service benefit and works pension.

You didn’t mention what vehicle or engine combo you were looking at. Another benefit of autos is that they tend to be lower maintenance with high power / torque engines. Big engines can be heavy on clutches etc

I get muscular stiffness in shins after tackling gradients and speeds that I’m unaccustomed to. I put it down to cyclist-specific musculature combined with good cardio vascular fitness which means it’s easy to over exert tight muscles.

+1 for cheap Bosches. We’ve had 3 now over 15 years. (previous 2 left in houses when we’ve moved out, still going strong).

Most recent is 2 years old and does at least one load a day, 7 days a week, plus biking and gym gear. Wouldn’t buy anything else…

I work in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with lots of pick and place robots. They’re pretty much bread and butter now. We do have a team working on collaborative robots which are said to be the next big thing for us. No “zero access” guarding…designed to work in the same space as human co-workers. I’ll try to find some vids…..

They benefit from not having to pay for meter readers to come out to you.
If you’re running up a deficit, they can increase your direct debit quicker, so they basically sit on your cash for more of the year than vice versa.
possibly they get to advertise / sell advertising to you via the smart meter app on your device(s)
They may be able to forecast demand better and turn on the big windmill things

Can’t think of any more upsides for them unless [tinhatmode] they get to know your habits [\tinhatmode]

We just got a freestanding double oven with induction hob. The whole lot is rated at 32a. Based on the fact we are highly unlikely to use all 4 rings and both ovens at full whack I took my chances wiring it into the 30a cooker circuit. Should be reet.
