roughneck – I wouldn't fancy your chances at running the brake drag-free if the piston is still out by 1mm.

I've ridden for yonks now with one piston siezed fully in. Brakes seem fine, plenty powerful enough.

Single piston braking – it works for the vast majority of motor cars! (admittedly with a floating caliper)

Nobody actually pays 2356% APR – the companys concerned are on a quite a tight leash with regulators. If a client is unable to repay within the originally agreed short term period, then that interest rate has to be suspended and a repayment plan agreed with much friendlier terms and no compound interest.

    ok one more:

5-9, 31 inseam, med & 75mm fine – would have gone larger rather than smaller for more stretch

Neil – I'll try to be there for as many as poss to bring up the rear of Weekend Warriors again!

Always meant to provide you with some appreciative feedback more directly, but I really enjoyed the 2 races I did from the autumn series & the Lee Quarry experience as a whole. As an experienced, but not competitive MTBer I thought my riding came on in leaps and bounds late last year as a direct result of doing the races – it's amazing what you can make yourself do under race conditions!

I'd recommend it to other riders looking for a new challenge.

    Cheers

I paid 120 quid a couple of months ago. My old aerial had corroded and been snapped by the birds, plus my co-ax was full of water.

Interestingly, the installer said that his job was much easier in these digital times as "it either works or it doesn't"

For examples, a lot of my neighbours in the bottom of the aire valley have aerials on tall masts to try to get better line of sight with Emley Moor. After checking that I didn't want to use analogue for anything, my installer mounted my aerial low down close to the roof to get some signal reflection off the chimney and roof. Works a treat. Analogue ghosts like crazy because of this setup – but not a problem for me.

Army Fitness is quite good for a training plan – also has stretching and strength training techniques that require no extra equipment

this is going round in circles, but my 2p worth.

I only buy cheap tyres for my sub £1k worth of car, but I get them from a very well-used garage with a lot of good customer feedback and reputation.

I've been generally happy with every pair (from about 4-5 different brands) and rarely skid / wheel spin / get out of shape despite 20 miles a day "spirited" commute across moors and into Leeds every day and back at all times of day and night……

There is some shite out there that is branded or unbranded. Don't put too much stock in online reviews as they are just full of people comparing new with old. Find a good retailer and support them.

Oh, and if you feel the safety of you and your family relies on even as much as 50% of your tyres' outright braking grip, you should really take a look at your driving rather than the rubber!

agree, I used to think that this was the mark of the terminally lacking in self-discipline. then mini-plums came along and realised that 18 month olds fit quite neatly into this category. still give the Mrs stick about it though………

    Barry,

Have a search of the backroom forum on Honest John website. Loads of 6's have gone this way.

Maybe a bit late seeing as you've scrapped it but last I heard was that there are a group of people launching joint legal action against Mazda for this issue.

that'll be the mazda 6 lack of lubrication / running on sump oil issue then……..?

Forget £1k for a new engine – looking like 5 or 6 and no used / recon engines out there for this well known issue….

Yep loads mate. Bingley bash is well known with route guides all over the shop. Also a fair loop from skipton to riddlesden on the canal then back over the tops. that's quite a long one though!

what do you mean weaker? more injury prone or less good at pedalling?

managed to tweak one of mine in a crash today. should probably have stretched more.

downhillers "tend" to use flat pedals(though not always). They then use the arch of their foot to grip the pedal and get a similar level of grip that you'd get with an SPD.

I wouldn't run an SPD cleat anywhere other than the ball of my foot for fear of knacking up my already creaky knees
