Seen slash a couple of times, once back in 88 with oringinal Buns n Toasties – the who band were shocking – put it down to drugs I guess

then again at a gibson anniversary show at wembley arena – playing and trading 45 mins of solos with Zakk Wilde – Whilst don’t like Zak or Slash it was very clear that talent and ability shone from Zakk and Slash was very ordinary.

Both on Les Pauls so thats obviously not the difference

Read his autobiography which is aping Motley Crues the dirt for ‘stupid things wot I haz done’ style

Legend – in his own head perhaps

    Lucky – certainly

Talented – Well he came up with some mighty riffs and great solos

As a person whose been through a lot in his life I find him engaging, as a guitarist I like his style but hate the band he became famous in.

Not like a songle thing hes been on that I heard.

I hope that you could tell me which music event you have been to that doesn’t involve logistics.

I’ve seen over 1000 paying gigs in the last 30 years and obviously after that amount of gigs I’ve pretty much seen it all. I also have done lots of sound and light gigs and its that that interests me much more than music these days.

Music is about everything from spirit, talent, inspirition and drugs to the valves in your amp to the air in the lorry drivers tyres.

I think I’ll be the judge of why I would certainly go and see take that given the choice.

    Regards

I’d just say pick a budget and spend that. I would have no problem spending £500 on a ‘beginners’ guitar.

As mentioned abve you have to spend an amount of cash before you get to something that just works. Certainly guitars seem a lot better at lower cost these days.

I’m all for Takmine myself, not bad quality generally and I prefer the more middling tone rather than something ‘tingy’ like a taylor

I would without doubt go if some one had a free ticket

A show like that with the logistics would be incredible to witness

Bogtrotter more Southerly members have a wednesday night ride most weeks but I don’t think its in the ride list – I’m sure SFB would be able to give you Matts number who organises that I think

Theres South Manchester Massive – NBT and Binners off here I think

Theres also BAD – Blackburn and Darwen MTBers

And I think Nezbo off here has a small group that ride around Darwen area.

I’m happy to show you the bits i know on the other side of the valley from Peel Tower up near the windmills – any time as I’m time rich/job poor

I was married to the most incredible, beautiful girl I had/have ever met

However for reasons know only to her she started telling me what I could and couldn’t do.

I thought I’d be better off and happier on my own.

It was very cold hearted on reflection, however, I have never regretted my decision

I’ve been to watch two different version of Swan Lake this year, irrespective of the astounding athletism on display, I was at times genuinely moves by the beauty of it all.

I know its not for everyone but I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen and hope to go to many more.

Note: For the most attractive ladies I find contemporary art galleries very fruitful. I also enjoy people talking complete bollock at the same time :D

I seem to recall that the Alps are a much younger set of mountains than the Rockies. The Rockies therefore are much more eroded and less ‘jaggardy’

Thats how I remember the explaination anyway

I’ve boarded and ridden in the Alps and the Rockies more than most and I much prefer the Rockies for over all ‘niceness’ but nothing seems bottom clenchingly rad the way the alps does
