Home sharing is on, and they are using the same Apple ID.

My desktop can access my laptops library but not the other way around. Seems like my desktop doesn’t like other things connecting to it.

vlookup means your search value has to be in the first column of your array so that doesn’t help.

For example in mine the car names are in column B, while the MPG value is in column N.

And it is working again. Someone must have unplugged something at FaceBook HQ.

Being British Born Chinese myself I can put my hand on my heart and say I have never been called a “Chink”. Wasn’t really bullied at school, just the odd chav acting hard but not because of my race. I have grown up in Surrey though and I went to a state school.
I was the only Chinese in my primary and junior school, and they were both next to council estates where the local riff-raff were from.

I’ve never heard anyone use the term “chinky” to describe a Chinese takeaway.

Any other requirements? Size, price, weight?

This looks pretty good. Asus laptops are great build quality. This one is on offer as well. Dedicated GPU.

Had my iPhone 4 for a year now. iOS6.1 on it. Seems ok. It does turn itself off when I get a message sometimes, very rarely though.

Just find a full version of fraps to download “somewhere”. Get the newest version as well, as the old one splits the video into 4GB chunks which you have stitch together yourself.

Our internet in our house did this a few days ago. The landlord sent a guy to have a look at it. Apparently the copper wiring was worn, so it needed replacing. We’re with Eclipse I think.

+1 DVDfab. Works fine, you may have to “aquire” a newer version to crack the piracy software they have on new dvds. It also does Blu-Rays but I don’t have a Blu-Ray drive in my pc.

Since dvds are dual layer, the extracted files will be more than 4.7gb. There is an option to extract just the film so the files are smaller.
If you wanna burn it to a disc then you will have to compress it meaning lower quality, or use a dual layer disc and it will be exactly the same as the original copy.

Speed will depend on your processor mainly.

I just bought a Asus x501a and am really pleased with it. I mainly bought it because it was light and fast.

The i3 15.6″ version weighs 2.07kg. The non i3 version, amd c60 processor (cheaper version) weighs 1.97kg. You can get a 14″ version I think which will be even lighter.

    i3 15.6″ one cost £349.99, it is down to £329.99 now 🙁

New i5 Ivybridge 3570k is a must, overclock it to 4ghz or more.

A standard 1TB HDD with a SSD for OS drive if it can fit in budget.

Best graphics card you can afford within budget. GTX 560 TI is a good starting point.

My friend in Hong Kong had a finger print scanner to get into his house. It was pretty cool, probably expensive as well.

I currently run a ati 6850 msi cyclone edition in my PC also i5 and 4gb of ram. It runs Skyrim on ultra and just about Battlefield 3 on ultra as well. My card is well out of date already even though I’ve only had it for 7 months. A quick google showed it for around £80-£90, so you probably could get a even higher spec one nowadays.

Yeah Word does have a save as PDF option. If it doesn’t just Google “Word PDF extension” and download the tool. Then you will be able to save as PDF.

I didn’t think the iPhone supported custom ringtones? Is there an app now or something? (Or, jailbreak?)

You have to make m4r files to put custom ringtones on iPhones.

This is my ringtone. Any Metal Gear Solid fans?

I bought it for PC a few weeks ago and am really impressed. I have always bought games for my PS3 but with BF3 because the graphics are so good it seemed PC was only logical. You do get much better graphics on PC than console if your PC is specced up enough. I can’t imagine how the controls would be mapped out on console as there are quite a few on pc and you can easily rebind them, to make them easy to use.

My internet is shocking 0.9mbits (125kbps d/l speed) and I play multiplayer just fine. I get a ping of around 30ms which is average really.

Also you can pay for premium accounts for the extra maps and extra guns and co-op missions. I think it is £30, which is more than I paid for the game itself. It does give you an advantage as you get better weapons but what can you do.

Seagate or WD. Had a Seagate one for 7 years hasn’t failed yet. Bought a Samsung last year and it broke within 2 months.

I wear acuvue monthlys, sometimes wear them from 9am in the morning till 4am the next day and they are completely fine. This is mostly when I go on nights out. They only sometimes feel dry in the evening, then I just try to make myself yawn which adds some moisture to my eyes. Mine have never fallen out when riding or playing badminton. The only problem has been when riding mud or water getting flicked into my eye. Opticians did recommend getting sunglasses for riding.

With ours we try and clean it as soon as you have taken the food off/finished using it. Just using a damp piece of kitchen towel to get rid of any residual grease. Then just scrape any burnt bits off.

I fractured mine when I was 12 iirc. I had to wear a sling for 3 months I think. I just have a small lump on my collarbone where it was.

I use a Samsung 24″ HD monitor using it as a pc monitor and have my PS3 connected to it. Everything looks the same really as when I plug the PS3 into my 42″ HDTV. But I think since I sit closer to the monitor I can see a lot more pixels and grains.

Muse are hardly dubstep. All of their current albums are just normal rock/pop. It’s only in the trailer for their newest unreleased album that it sounds a lot more electronic.

This is from 4Chan where the people on it are a bit weird. It is probably the darkest part of the internet you can go on. It is very NSFW so go on it at your own risk if you want a look.

Well professional cyclists have super low heart rates normally. Armstrong at his peak had around 32-34 bpm.

Yeah having a higher processor speed is better than having more cores when playing games. The new bulldozer processors have a weaker performance in comparison to the i5. The 2500k i5 is the best processor on the market at the moment for gaming, it has almost identical performance to the i7 2500k.

The new ivybridge processors have just come out which are even better than the sandybridge ones. Look for a i5 3570k if it is within budget.

If you can try and get them overclocked. I run my i5 at 4Ghz but I can run it at 4.7Ghz but have never needed to as the power it runs at the moment is more than enough for any games I play.

You don’t really need a 750 watt power supply unless you think you are going to crossfire with two graphic cards. Possibly downgrade it down to a 650 watt and spend the saved money on 4 more GB of ram?

What sort of videos? Vlogs? MTB videos?

One of the key issues is make sure it is high-ish quality, people don’t want to watch videos that are barely recognisable. Most people upload 720p videos, which if you don’t have a fast internet connection can take a while to upload i.e. many hours.

At first the videos you are allowed to upload are limited to iirc 5 minutes I think. Once you have got a few views on some videos you can upload videos that are 15 minutes long.

When editing the videos you can try to compress the file size down so it is quicker to upload, but you need to make sure that no video quality is lost.

Just use Windows Movie Maker as a start, depending on what sort of stuff you are going to upload. If you just need cutting segments, adding music and simple functions that should be enough.

Make your Youtube account username inline with what you are uploading, making it easier to find if people search for it.

To begin with shamelessly post your videos to places where you think people will be interested in it. Once you have a thousand or so views a video or two you will be able to monetise your videos so that adverts are placed on your videos and you can gain money. I recently did this with my account but I don’t have enough views yet to get a significant amount of money from YT. I think it is like £20 minimum payment from them.
