shimano all the way for me, and historically so too.

Now have a bling bling bike with XO, but prefer the shifting and ‘feel’ of my XTR stuff.

    Rated hosting company.

jim, they’re not professionals, I prefer the ones that are a little bit less aware and feisty.

that said, I have discovered that you need approx. 2 rolls of duck tape to effectively hold someone to the wall with longevity, regardless of how much they protest.

Just take your rage out on hora by roofie-ing his drink next time you’re out and savagely beating him with a series of cucumbers, root vegetables, before finally launching a red cabbage into his heaving gut.

And send it to you’ve been framed.

It’s always socially acceptable at every stage of the relationship.

Especially if you drop a massive one over dinner on the first date, and the waiter comes over and you say “smell that? She’s a lucky lady…”

I thought Next would be right up your street……

I am hugely hurt by that. If next was right up my street I would be forced to move. Countries.

it’s a trail centre, specifically tailored for you to ride trails. Should a dog be there? No.

Selfish owner if it is there in my opinion.

for my mech eng degree, we pretty much did a maths degree in our first year, in addition to everything else – nothing in the 2, 3 and 4 year would have been possible or made any sense without it.

Depending on where you go, it’s not something I would consider you could do on day release. Admittedly I finished my degree about 11 years ago, but even then we were doing a 28 hour tutored week, and there was lab time and study time on top of that, I reckon I was putting in a 40+ hour week consistently over the 4 years. Sure, you could get away with less, but depends what you ultimately want to achieve.

Coursework was generally epic, again involving lots of lab time, leaving things, checking them periodically etc, and never quite walking away from it. Lots of presentations and question / answer sessions too. In terms of incorporating it into the current role, that may be course specific (I know mine we couldn’t), although a year in industry was possible, that would have taken it to a 5 year course.

If I’m honest, it’s pretty much a full-time “degree”. You may be able to do other mech eng courses that have lesser accreditation on a day release basis, but I reckon to do well at that and work full time you’d be kissing goodbye to pretty much any social life.

Perhaps, in contradiction to what I said before, I’m actually ill all the time, but don’t know it due to the lack of symptoms ?

Spot on. You still have chicken pox probably, you still have pretty much every virus you’ve ever had, it’s just that your body has dealt with it, produced antibodies to deal with any further interaction and reduced that in your body to negligible levels.

That’s why some viruses can be “re-activated” in the future but you show no symptoms the majority of the time – shingles is often just another bout of chicken pox or other pox virus.

Bacterial infections are completely different though.

No, she shouldn’t suffer right now, but on the basis of keeping an income and potentially beneficial hours on her return rather than potentially a statutory minimum redundancy payout that you would then need to contest it might be worth it. Up to you though, as others have said, get a lawyer that knows their beans involved rather than relying on the Internet barrack room lawyers.

Personally, I would just accept the reduced hours now and be done with it. If it’s a small company then you’re unlikely to be able to do that much about it, and it’ll be a massive headache to prove what you actually want to, plus you keep the goodwill for when your wife returns to work. Right now some money coming in is better than none, and given that corporate entertaining is pretty much dead in the water I wouldn’t be the one drawing attention to myself as not agreeing with the bosses right now.

There are probably a few things that have been done correctly and incorrectly on both sides, but sometimes you need to just play the politics game regardless of whether you believe it’s right or not.

I know it’s not what you want to hear, but it’s my opinion.

mike, they’re viruses, and with little spiderman and bro running around, interacting with other kids then they’re volumetric exposure to these increases, and you get them brought home to you.

The symptoms of a cold (rhinovirus) are actually your immune system attacking it so aggressive symptoms could be said to indicate a stronger immune system, so it’s unlikely you have the bad aids. What you need to do is therefore control the symptoms when they arrive, which simple paracetamol does perfectly well, eat and drink well during the colds and generally you’ll accelerate the recovery.

Echinacia is toss, and a waste if time – most, if not all homeopathy remedies, if they work become classified as medicine. There have been sufficient clinical trials which have shown no beneficial effect to this.

Ones that have been show to assist in controlling the immune response to colds have been vitamin c and zinc. You should get enough of these in your daily diet without the need to supplement. If you are concerned i’d recommend a daily probiotic and good diet, and that’s pretty much all you need for a tough immune system if you’re exercising at least moderately.

Hmm, I’ve often wondered this – would happily use my planet x superlight carbon pro on my turbo trainer, as I reckon that is strong enough. When I have used it in there it hasn’t flexed unduly. If I was really cranking it (unlikely being as it’s me) then I would be a little bit more sceptical, and have noted it flex significantly more than on the road. This is because on the road, the bike would lean with my body weight but it can’t when clamped in putting a lateral load on the dropouts.

However, my BMC pro machine would go nowhere near it, as I’m not planning on mullering a £2400 frame on it.

Interestingly (in my opinion), when I was about 13, and my sister was 17 we both were hit at the same time by some mystery thing that caused us both massive joint pain, which was akin to arthritis by all accounts. It took me about 3 weeks to be pain free again, and hers developed into full-blown rheumatoid arthritis, which she’s had ever since. On that basis, I agree with the viral postulation being one of the causes.

It’s weird, and it’s a bit crappy too.

i’d agree with swadey, you can get an idea from other people, but no definitive until you try them for size. Reach, standover etc all vary between models and brands, so go to a big store that stocks a few if you can.

I’ll admit to being a big fan of Gaultier for women, inasmuch as my first girlfriend wore it for “special” occasions, and so I’ve associated it with those occasions ever since.

So, that’s what you need to look for, or generate, a smell that connects with some sort of mental trigger of the occasion you want it to.

it’s all about marketing and drawing your attention to things because they “appear out of place”, hence they’re more visible. They’re often things that you might forget you need (bulbs and oil are two such products that you might think – ooh yeah, I need some oil)

Equally, if it’s just a small display, to fit that in where it should go will need a space. Creating that space isn’t always easy as it means moving far more things than just the equivalent volume.

they should be fine – it was a 50/50 mix of ghetto and proper rims for my trip to spain, and those with the ghetto fared just as well. All were still using UST tyres though for the tougher sidewalls.
