Not allowed. End of. I do recall years ago that a drop in bar was adopted for a retailer under a management plan of first person / last person out but with the 3 and 4 point high security panic locking devices things have moved on.

Best place to look is under Approved Document Part B which is available free on line.

Just put a 1×11 SLX groupset on one of my Cannondales and used a Praxis conversion BB. Quality bit of kit.

There is a British Standard for WC provision (BS6465-1). To put into perspective I have a project where I have 18 female WC and 6 male WC / 6 urinals (plus 3 DWCs). This is based on a 50/50 occupancy split. The male from memory is oversized as extra urinals were requested (although should have been provided).

The provision for female WCs is always greater, and the difference varies depending on the type of venue.

I also have a project that has unisex single WCs. Not my first choice but separate sex WCs would have required a greater provision, taken up more space and required ambulant provision under the standards.

They seem to have changed their procedure at the moment. They have an office next to mine. They now run the car during the bodywork inspection (which can be annoying when its outside my door) . This can take up to 5mins. If it runs that long all good. They will take any car.

I think that’s the key. I took mine in this morning and the four points in the recall was also the dealer’s requirements for the return. Also had an email this morning from the guys who sold me the bike back in 2014

I didn’t submit any receipt for the bike when I returned it. So second owner etc would not be an issue.

I was the “architect” for a JCC back in 2002. That new building didn’t half upset the unions. The kitchen facility was a masterpiece in diplomacy. (3 fridges / 2 sinks and 2 microwaves _ no emergency service would share a fridge / one, cant recall but I think it was the Police, wouldn’t share a sink or microwave with the others).

That said I have the uppermost respect for the guys on the ground doing the job. Something I thought about doing as a career change after leaving the RMR.

    Thanks Nixie,

Just looked at ZP and I’ve just managed to make the page 1 in the over 100kg category for BH with an 8.20 @363w average.

What sort of time do you do up Box dirtyrider?

I’m stuck at 8.26min and cant seem to go any quicker. I think that equate to around 366 watts average for the climb at 102kg.

Hmmm starting typing a response and a dodgy warning page popped up (STW?)

Sadly I didn’t put 10k in there but spread my Hargreaves SIPS across 39 different funds including Mr Woodfood’s.

Hi Twodogs (again)! And one of the team sumo who I kept swapping places with. I did offer you a wheel on the third lap when riding down the beach.

Have to say looking back I did enjoy the event. I rode the course on Saturday and it was an eye opener. Really enjoyed the single track stuff

Had quite a few spills typically due to the inability to uncleat quick enough. Thought I would attack the beach entry on the last lap and went straight over the bars (Sumo cruised passed me when I was “dusting” myself off)

Sadly I’m out due to a infection that seems to have gone into my jaw bone following some root canal work. Hoping to be back the following week for the Pembrey beach race / jolly.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure what to run with and thought it was a hilly 50km ride. At 80km I think my 100mm hardtail is a safer bet.

Yep just had the helicoil issue on the front lefty on my 2018 SI-2. I can count the number of times the front wheel has been removed on one hand (My original Leftys are still going strong without the much “improved” helicoil arrangement).

Kit ordered from Cannondale turns out to be M10 x 1.0mm THREAD REPAIR KIT Helicoil type Neilsen CT2743 (with the benefit of a Cannondale sticker over the original barcode). The Cannondale one is £45 or £12.95 without the sticker.

Snapped two spokes on the rear Czero wheel. Thought I had only done one. I have ordered rather expensive replacement spokes (10no) from Cannondale spares in Germany and will replace the spokes and spokes in the vincinty of the breakage for the time being.

    Agree with the lockout comment.

I had a custom menu for years and had to make the switch a few years back because of Revit. Painful for a few weeks but worth doing.

My extension has been up 9years and cost me around £3500m2 including VAT (16m2). There was some works undertaken within the existing house as well which is included within the costs. Big ticket items included my bifold doors with integral blinds at £18k, external hardwood timber decking (30m2) at about £3.5k, kitchen tiled floor / underfloor heating at 2k, feature rooflight at £2k, aluminium secret fix gutter and aluminium fascia /soffits at another £2k uplift.

The above costs didn’t include fees but since its my line of business this didn’t cost me anything and engineer did it as favour.

    Well done RichP.

Like others I found the slippy parts, slippy! But I did enjoy the course apart from a couple of places.

I nearly threw in the towel on the first lap as I came off the course a few times, and then missed the first option A route by following a rider around option B. Settled in for long haul. Glad the track had mixed conditions which made it enjoyable after the initial shock.

I was interested, and then I saw the price. I think its a little expensive but keeping an eye on the website. A price reduction with the entry fee below the £1000 would see an entry from me.

It seems solo entries are now accepted (thought they required team entries originally, could have been mistaken?)

    I don’t work in IT.

Back on the bike and enjoying my riding.

The overcladding proposal for Grenfell Tower is in the BREEAM assessment for those who know what they are looking at and where to find it. Insulation specified is a FR PIR insulation board by a well known manufacturer. This is the design intent. The placement of the aluminium windows is also shown relative to the overcladding.

The fire load issue with the ACM panel (or ZCM) is an unknown. The 3 to 4mm PE core will melt under fire conditions. I’m unsure how its burns but as noted by Slowster the quantity of material is minimal. Its also encapsulated by the aluminium or zinc facings. However the PE will drip and this can cause secondary fires if it lands unfavourable. The integrity of the panel is also effected. But note that the facings have low melting points.

The composite panels mentioned in some reports are a different item. The industry is well aware of the issues particularly after the Sahib Food fire.

The nib is to support the steel / load above.

6m is a bit of span on a domestic project so my question would be what’s above. (Being two UBs I suspect its a cavity wall)

The new rear wall looks to be new construction so there is no reason to add the nib and pad as the extract. If the engineer has concerns suggest a 140 or 215mm inner leaf (block laid flat) to the pier to provide a bit more “meat”. The new footing for the rear wall should have been designed to take the “point” load.

GSA is great for this – 2k to 5k. That’s all it needs. 60mpg possible but rare.

I guess it would but it certainly wouldn’t be assumed to be load bearing.

    Agree.

I’m not sure I would bother with an lintel and would suggest to the builder to make the opening full height

    Take a look a clause 2.3.

New guidance should be applied if you are making the situation worse then what was previously acceptable.

    Comfy driving!

No low first gear. The manual gearing is also a bit spaced out. DSG nips straight into second, smooth changes, great low down torque, better ratios more suited to the engine.

Don’t get me wrong, I did 6500miles in the 140 manual and liked it. Then I drove the 180DSG.
