Yeah but at least you didn’t break your neck with the extra rotational force a helmet would have caused.

You got a sauce to back that statement up?

Honestly, how long will this helmet debate curry on for?

Just bought a marmot precip, gets good reviews. Is it weird to be excited about a jacket?

Don’t say that Jambo, 3 days so far here :(

Wary of just battling through it in case it makes me worse.

Lucky that they offered 80%, i’m surprised they offered anything at all.

Agreed, sounds very fair as they are now second hand essentially.

They didn’t blank it out when they showed the dambusters on TV the other day, bet they got loads of complaints or something.

Have you tried either on? Castelli stuff is generally good but not sure on the fit of the pocket liner, it wasn’t good for me.

Got a 2.5 and rate it, used it pootling around West Wales and the Alps, megavalanche etc for the last 4 years. I prefer it to previons camelbaks but certainly personal preference.

I just nearly had a head on with a van in cosham STM, he clocked my shoulder with his wing mirror at about 25mph, closest I’ve ever come to being knocked off!

He pulled in about 50 yards down the road so thought I better go have a word, he just didn’t see me! Was distracted talking to his daughter apparently. No harm done so no need to go to town on him as he seemed genuinely concerned. But still scary stuff.

Must be something they’ve put in the water down here :?

Working until 1pm on Christmas Eve, I will then be unemployed (voluntarily) very much on the wind down now!

Yes, it’s free food and booze with people who I see out of work too, a fair number of which I ride with.

Working in the cycling industry does mean I am more likely to have something in common with my colleagues though I guess.

    Should be fun!

Prepared to be wrong on this!

Generally you would need the 1.85mm spacer that is supplied with the hub and the 1mm spacer that is supplied with the cassette.

In reality, if the cassette is on and tight, and the chain doesn’t contact the spokes you are good to go!

I had a bit of an issue a year or so ago, i was away from bikes but surfing a lot, not sure what the issue was but think it may have been subacromial bursitis.

Raising my arm at all was enough to make me weep like a little girl, I avoided t shirts for a while due to this (not the end of the world in Bali) but any surfing was out of the window for a good few weeks. Luckily mine faded with rest.

I hope you can get it sorted. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

I would advise going to a chiropractor. But only if you want your back to get better and not suffer horribly with debilitating pain.

If you enjoy the above then avoid at all costs.
