Fishing has its risks. My old man hooked my eyelid whilst casting when I was about 7, maggots on the hook and all :D

Dont think he told my mum til a few months afterwards.

    There is no hope.

I’ve completely stopped fighting my corner whenever conversation turns to cyclists on the road.

Not worth my breath, **** em

Been told I look like Neil Patrick Harris and Christopher Masterson by a few different people. It would seem they are thought to look a like too.

Pretty chuffed with the comparison if Im honest.

For anyone else who is not used to contact with other human beings, continually writing this:

they are trying to bypass the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 by making it a warranty item.

to a low paid customer service person is unlikely to make anything happen faster.

Unless of course the company really are being arses about it, then it would be understandable.

Yeah thats a stock response from Wiggle, they would have sorted it out for you once its been sent back, no wiggling to speak of.

    Also:

I also opened a case with Amex for them to reclaim payment.

I dont know how it works with Amex, but if people used to do that with Paypal it would actually delay them getting their refund in a situation like this :D Enjoy!

Eagle Bays Vienna Lager and ESB

Used to be my local brewery that, ESB was my favourite.

Gage Roads Single Fin is far too easy to drink on a warm summers evening.

Best ever was a customer who sent an electric bike battery back to me, padded in the box with cake. Lots of those packaged ginger and fruit cakes. We were eating them for weeks afterwards.

    Inspired!

Perhaps not going to please those who watch unboxing videos of new gadgets on youtube, but I approve.

Ive recently got the Torchy BK Thr33, used it a couple of times and it seems pretty damn good to me. I bought it as a happy medium between cheap ebay specials and (to me) silly expensive options.

However I do not have a lot of experience of other lights to compare it to.

There was/is a nesting pair on my old work buildings in Bondi Junction, Sydney 8)

Used to watch them hunting all day and you’d see the tell-tale feathers floating down when they had been successful, which was very often!!

t’s like donating to charity and then being berated for not putting your entire salary into it.

    Spot on.

I think anything that helps the tiniest amount in reducing your carbon footprint is a good thing. Whether that is not eating any/as much meat, buying fewer products with palm oil in, riding to the shops/work instead of driving or turning off lights more. Its all good!

If it also means a creature, somewhere, suffers less, thats not a bad thing either.

I think we move in very different circles!

You are allowed to look out of your own circle every once in a while :-)

What a dumb thing to say.

I can assure you it is not.

It is most certainly seen as “manly” by a lot of males to eat piles of meat. As such it is seen as being weak to not eat meat.

Will you be carrying camping stuff?

If not, I think 65l is too big.

    Look at Osprey bags.

Then why do they make themselves so tasty?

But in reality, its not the meat that is tasty is it? Its what the meat is cooked and eaten with that makes it taste better.

Not had this, but for a while it sometimes felt like my toes were cold and wet, to the point I would check to see the puddle I had just stood in (there wasnt one and they were perfectly dry)

Get on their Livechat in the morning and (politely) harass them :D

Ask to elevate it to a manager, as that is far too long to wait and generally common sense will prevail. (I used to work there, possible someone doesnt know the protocol/its slipped through the net somehow)

Agreed however it is odd i can drop a live lobster into boiling water and eat it, legally and no one bats an eyelid, but i would be a monster if i did it to a kitten

100% agreed. Something that should be thought about more often.

1mm spacer needed on 10spd cassette.

But tbh its more a case of whatever works, as long as the cassette doesnt wobble and it clears the spokes youre golden.

Has anyone used Arkel panniers? They seem to be slightly more robust than Ortlieb.

Its hard to see past Ortlieb though, especially as Arkel are more expensive!

Seriously? Are you aware of how a crossing works? Traffic stops until the pedestrian is clear of the crossing.

Did you even read the article?
