Its Well sign posted. That extra bit you did was “make or brake” one of the DH routes.

Always the same, i had one of my local jump spots destroyed a few years back, it was out of the way, away from houses and paths, NO litter (i personally cleared any that was left) most annoying thing was that id just spent 8 hours digging there with a friend the weekend before it got destroyed. Havent bothered building since.

Yarp, theres the coaster wheelie, which is a wheelie (surprisingly) but not pedalling. Manualling you need to be standing to shift your weight around on the bike. Pull up on the bars, lean back and keep your legs slightly bent, if the front end drops straighten your legs out quickly, this will prop the front end up (You’ll panic the first time you manage this and grab a handful of back brake ;) ) and if you feel yourself looping out do the opposite and suck yourself into the bike. practicepracticepractice.

Practice :D Took me a looooooong time to get good at it, but can manual a very long way now. Nothing feels better than manualling (ok, nothing bike related) handy for getting through puddles, manualling through pumps, manualling over tabletops etc etc.

Also good for showing off. Its ALL about the balance point.

Does the pic capture the pain and suffering that the climb created? I very nearly threw up on the first climb coming out of the visitor centre :D

Proper UST ones. Did hit the rim a fair bit, but they gripped rather nicely and smoothed out the ride no end.

Would be alot easier if you used UST tyres ;)

I went 1×9 and went for a quick razz down a little rocky trail by my house (minus chain device) hadnt gone 30 metres before the chain fell off :D Havent dropped a chain once with the Gamut (although i have cracked the bash :( (probably due to me riding into rocks and stuff) Using a 32 tooth ring btw.

Ran my 2.35 highrollers on 819’s at 15 psi for quite a while, I’m only 10.5 stone though ;) Have upped it a bit to 25-ish since though.

Chameleons just feel harsher, same seatpost (thomson) same tyres (2.35 high roller) same pressures. trust me ;)

15mm are exactly the same as 20mm, just 5mm smaller ;) (and lighter apparently) hardtails will have quick release on the back, so no need to worry about rear thru axles.

Not that much difference in weight, I own a stiffee and two friends own chameleons. Both of them love the chameleons, but i think the stiffee is alot smoother. I dont think you’ll be disappointed either way!

Yes they are slidy in the mud, but i managed fine, you’ve just got to get used to the bike drifting a bit. High roller front, ignitor rear worked for me.

I can sympathise, was there a few months ago with some less than experienced riders, luckily didnt have any problems. The blue is a reet laugh to hit flat out though! but you must expect to meet less confident riders, most pulled out of the way for us though, Cheery hello/thanks is the correct greeting i find.
