Email address is wilko57@hotmail.com says he is from kent in his profile on here. I put up a wanted ad for a front road wheel, he replied, all seemed fine, sent hmi money as a gift (which ive done many times on here and never had problems) wheel didnt arrive after two weeks so i emailed him, he made up some (I presume) crap about a broken leg and said he would get his missus to send it within the next couple of days, three months later and no replies to emails later ive basically given up.

    Well if we're doing this…

Wilkosworks/Paul Wilkinson – Failed to send me a front wheel after being paid. Cheers mate.

Errr, i think im right in saying you cant run a normal nine speed chain on a 1/8" chainring, normal chains are 3/32". Id go back to the shop.

Ive noticed alot of rude and angry OAPs too, Id rather be dead than have such a piss poor outlook on life.

I wish people on here wouldnt be so derogatory about trial centres.

Good. The loser shouldnt be stealing. If I were in that situation Id be hard pressed not to get violent with the offender (/willy-waving 😉 ) Its my bike for gods sake!

Very surprised by the number of people who ride alone!!

Group riding is soooo much better than riding alone! When we go out its basically one big piss-take. Im happy to go out alone and I do, but I often find myself planning the route to take in friends houses for tea/food stops 😀

Ive got weedy little girlie/roadie shoulders and run 710mm bars, they really are good, i had 685mm on previously and these feel even nicer.

Youre allowed to act all "stoked" when you do shit like that.

(doesnt stop me sounding exactly like him)

I went slightly offline on a steep bit of trail and went over the bars, headfirst into a large tree. Hurt like a bitch for a long time, particularly first thing in the mornings. havent ridden the trail since 😆

its just a tiny sliver of white plastic, I disregarded it at first and left it out. I was using a Thomson too so it mustve been the shim I had under the stem.

My fixed gear will have brakes, its a fairly small minority who choose to ride fixed gear with no brakes.

Are you running the wee plastic shim that goes between your stem and the headset/spacer? that sorted out a creak on mine.

I agree with the stupid cut down risers, look utterly shite (IMO 😉 ) Mines got drops on it and looks exactly like a standard road bike, as for riding fixed in the city, why live in the city?! I spend my time in rural Norfolk or Aberystwyth when im at uni, Im just really interested to see what its like to ride a fixed gear.

*edited to avoid slagging people off 😀

Id say 20mm was fine, when i anchor on (i have pikes) they must compress about halfway 😀 and buy a QR seatclamp!! things are so much more fun when you can move around on the bike properly.

Lance bad for cycling? I know he's inspired me to get out on my bike, not a bad thing. Was there this kind of hate towards Nico Vouilloz? He was just as dominating in DH.

the sport contacts are pretty damn good, ive ridden a fair amount of off road on them (handling was interesting to say the least) and still no punctures

Ringo, youre right about the fireroad downhill bit. As for linking Nant and Mach, i think i might be giving that a go at some point this year 😀
