I think its quite odd that people go out for a ride on their own?

If the trails/jumps arent provided by the council/FC people are going to build them, thats the way it is and IMO, the way it should be. Its also a free way for the FC to find out where to build trails!

TJ – I think youre asking the wrong people if youre trying to make a point. Come round anytime and build some in mine!

ampthill – Just be sure none of the people who've built the jumps see you poking your unwelcome nose in.
If theres one way to properly piss off trailbuilders…

The money isnt the important thing here is it? Its the actual product. If I let a friend borrow a frame I'd epect a frame back, not some paper 😀

Worst outcome is a new swingarm innit? at least the whole frame isnt fubar'd.

Im using some KCNC scandium bars, 710mm wide, very light. Id recommend them.

sharkbait – when you use more electrical gadgets the resistance in the alternator gets higher (to produce more amps) this is why if you turn your lights on at idle the revs drop a bit.

Oh, and whoever ridiculed the choke idea, just because its not manual doesnt mean your car doesnt have a choke 😉 Theyre just automatic these days.

Jeeeeeeez, when you have your saddle up you cant be in that position, because your saddle would be hammering your sternum.

    You're all morons.

Different forks and it'd be mint.

P.S. Tension your chain a bit more! (unless theres a reason for it to be so slack with all the clever gubbins)

To add to the discussion, I ride a hardtail so its a bit more important to be able to absorb the impacts with your legs.

sax – How different our views are! riding rocky, rough trails with the saddle up is no fun at all. Pretty much guaranteed to be more in control if you can move about on the bike a bit.

No doubt there are some people who have built themselves what you describe cookeaa. I use my XC bike to ride downhill courses on, is that any different to buying a slopestyle bike and using it for XC or DH?

Oh, and the riders think they are "cool" because frankly, they are 😀

Ahh wicked, you know Myles Cook? fresher, used to ride with him a fair bit last year 🙂
