But it’s well known that people buy a big/powerful car to make up for a small penis or a lack of height or a lack of character or a lack of attracting members of the opposite sex etc. etc.

Thats what everyone with a small. slow car says.

To quantify that remark, I drive a classic mini 8)

if any of my colleagues Tweeted owt whilst working, they’d be in for a right b*ll**king!

I would think it was tweeted officially from the police forces account. Maybe.

You will need just the 1.85mm shim to run a 9 speed cassette. Brant is right.

Bought a set of forks, turned up fine, no worries,

Haven’t needed to contact them other than a tricky question about chain line they couldn’t answer either :p I’d order again based on my experience.

As is Aberystwyth. I was at uni there a couple of years ago, my room in first year was on the first floor of the below building. You can just see it as a slight bay window. Front row seats!

I will keep an eye on this thread to see how fair my Mother is being…

    I predict very fair.

Blimey, sense of humour failure? I bet all the entrants have breathed a sigh of relief that you’re not joining them

Sorry Rocketdog, that was aimed at Cynic-al 😉

Free, the same as any other organised Sportive, Enduro or just plain “event”.

Difference is there’s loads of others so it will be a bit out of the ordinary.

I won’t be entering, but it seems pretty plain who the bell-end is.

It’ll be in the terms of the offer “cannot apply retrospectively”

Thems the rules. Take the £10 voucher and be grateful. Or give it to me and I’ll be grateful.

and of course, none of us have ever overlooked something as glaringly obvious have we ..

I have, but I didn’t tell anyone else, especially not on here!

Silly Joseph! surely that’s the first thing you check if you know you’re travelling with oversize items??

I’m smug because I flew around the world with a 6 foot chunk of fibreglass for free. I also checked the website before going to the airport.

Every days a school day eh?

I would hope it was less of a lie, more a system error causing mis-information.

Of course that doesn’t change the end result, but somehow seems better than an outright lie.

    Edit – beaten to it.

I’m sure they did it out of spite, giggling behind their computers.

But in all seriousness, that is annoying. I work for a similar company and these issues need to be looked at ASAP because it really is a quick way to lose a customer and get a lot of bad press.

Cows? No worries. Bulls? Different story.

Just come back from NZ where I worked on a dairy farm, you get used to them. Just don’t be silly. Talking loudly and waving arms is how I spent a lot of my time. Blowing raspberries at them works too.

Oh, and Der Kaiser dh tyres are insane.

The grippiest tyres I’ve ever used and the only tyre I’ve ever used and not torn a hole in the rear on my hard tail.

I use only Conti at the mo.

Rubber queen/ race king on the mountain bike. Used to only use maxxis but find these great.

Grand Prix 24mm on the road bike, had em on for nearly 3 years now, not a single puncture.

Sounds like the opposite to your experiences, horses for courses!

Nope, 11 speed freehubs are longer, so you would need a new wheel(s)

I got halfway through buying one and bottled it, bought a 1tb hard drive from amazon instead for £60.

Maybe I’ll get one after Christmas.

I’ve been looking myself, at the E39 5 series touring, seem like nice cars so would be interested in any first hand experiences.

I like mine, bought it for travelling with and it was ideal. Now I’m home I do find myself thinking a big one would be nice, but you can’t beat it for portability. I think that’s a word.

It was bought for me if that still counts, my Barbour jacket.
Mrs Zip bought it for my Christmas present years ago and if she wrapped it up and gave it to me every year it would still be all the presents I’d ever want.

Reassuring, bought one at the weekend in a mad moment. Also applicable for this thread as its by far the most expensive single item of clothing Ive ever purchased. Though I guess my Wetsuit was more if that counts.

Very frustrating, had my bag rifled through multiple times on bus trips through Cambodia and Thailand. Got all my chargers the first time, I hope they used the profits wisely.

That is the reason I’m swaying toward Hope. Though Xtr is very tempting.

I was thinking of going back to Hope after a hiatus.

Been using Hayes Stroker Grams which, to be fair, have been excellent, surviving being dragged down Alps with no complaints. But got itchy fingers and fancy a change.

The main draw being spares availability, The Tech 3 X2’s are top of the list here too.

Might wait til ive seen a few reviews though.

They are a very tempting price. Might try out the road wheels at some point.

    Anyone used the integrated bar/stem??
