I was chasing a creak for a while, only happened when stood up and really pushing hard. After exhausting all options I took the seatpost out, cleaned it up and re-greased it. Sorted.

Must have been the flex in the frame allowing a bit of movement of the post.

Listened to it twice the whole way through, just as good as Lost in the dream I reckon.

Will probably keep going back to it.

Loading a gpx onto OSMand is very easy indeed, once its downloaded to the phone it appears automatically and you start navigation in the side menu under “Directions”

However I have not used it for navigating yet, will probably do a short loop soon to how it goes, though mainly I plan to just follow the line on the map rather than turn-by-turn directions.

For use on the road I would really recommend a German light with the cut-off beam pattern to avoid dazzling everyone (not just drivers, cyclists too)

But this may not be best for off road use, depends on what light off road means though I guess.

I have a Schmidt Edelux 2 and it is very good indeed, though I think most of the novelty is just that it is dynamo powered.

In West Wales it was around 2.50 for the same.

I’ve tried it. Cassette is too wide and presses on the hub body so won’t freewheel.

Ah shame. Hope you get it sorted.

wzzzz is right, you can generally use an MTB 11 speed cassette on a 10 speed hub.

The larger sprockets will clear the spokes then. The issue with fitting an 11 speed road cassette is that the smaller sprockets foul the spokes.

An entire summer when I was 15/16. I got good, I am now not so good.

I seem to remember two strained arms/shoulders and a very sore back being the result though.

    I nearly crapped myself.

This happens on a regular basis (you’d think I would learn to expect it) pull in to let car past and get a beep of thanks right next to my ear! Actually quite unpleasant although the intent is appreciated.

Some obviously understand how loud a cars horn is and wait until they are 5 metres up the road.

Bought a 2007 Vivaro hightop from a van dealership, 150k miles but full service history.

Glad it came with a warranty as I noticed a whine on the motorway which meant a gearbox rebuild, then a couple of weeks later the clutch slave cylinder went which would have also been a large bill.

It was nice to drive and handy, but I sold it when the warranty ran out. Wouldnt buy another if Im honest.

    its a 650b x 47mm tyre

But your first image shows it to be 37mm wide?

    They really are that good.

I’d have one if I had the money.

it allows those who might not be the fittest to enjoy mountain biking.

Fit people can and do ride them too, if you think its impossible to hurt yourself uphill on an ebike you havent ridden one.

Just a quick update, the Monzo card arrived this morning, activated it on the app and it worked exactly as it should at the post office and supermarket.

We’ll see how it fares through Europe in a few months time, thanks for all the replies.

Good to hear all your opinions, I have now got a Monzo card on the way, app was very easy to navigate and the process was quick and easy.

I may get a Revolut card as well, extra backup.

    sporting interests

This is the crux of it, killing artificially introduced animals for fun is as far from a ‘sporting interest’ as you could get (in my opinion, of course).

Go shoot some clay pigeons you wrong’uns.

From there, you jest need to head to Aberystwyth and your life will be complete.

    Agreed 8)

Elan valley is worth a visit, the mountain road to Rhayader from Aberystwyth is lovely.
