Jambalaya , I’ve been looking at going with ridersrefuge in Morzine and the cost is inc in the holiday(Week ) . Says Friday or Sunday for the event but doesn’t mention Saturday?
Is there plenty of singletrack or is there a lot of fireroad?
My typical mix up is like most on mbr but instead of turning right for false teeth I carry on by and go up the steady fire road climb to the left and make my way to the top of Adams family then round Big dug and back up to the top and down the OLD pink heiffer 😉
Thanks for the info . I’ve just watched a few videos and can now recall the long descent i did back in 2007. It appears to be the x line into hackelberg ! I definitely remember that top section and dropping down that long singletrack . Where is that big push up in the photo?
I’m not a DH’er but i do like descents / steep techy or flowy stuff etc . Got an enduro so it’s more than capable of doing a bit of everything .
The Hackelberg trail does look good and the X line
Thegeneralist , I’ve done the park stuff around hinterglem etc and also leogang on two occasions . I thought there may have been some progress with trail work since i went but maybe not by the sound of it! I like natural trails and bike park . I will rethink my options .
I’ve been using them on my hardtail and FS , managed to send one flying down a rocky trail on the FS and it split the bottle . I did send Fabric the picture and they sent me a new one and also advised on checking the tightness of the mounts . I do give them a check from time to time and can tell if they need nipping up when clipping the bottle on . I seemed to have mastered the art of removal/refit whilst riding too 🙂
My 4th one and getting a little quicker each time . 4hrs for the short route . Was actually feeling ok after a heavy night in both big tops! Plenty of happy people riding , a spot on weekend 😀
Most of us in the workshop prefer the old Kuga , not too many problems other than bloody DPF or the odd 4wd malfunction.
I would consider looking at a Focus 1.0 ecoboost estate , similar mpg and lots of room in the back
I’m also a little unsure of what to go for as i’m interested in the AB one.Going from a double 36/24 and 9 speed and tend to ride in the 36 on most stuff . So should i go 32 or 34t?
Radioman i used to think the same as i have a similar inside leg measurement . Test rode a 29er enduro and it was bloody superb, changed my thoughts on 29ers and ended up buying a 29er rockhopper . I have a 26″ enduro which i would recommend highly and the 650b or 29 are supposed to be even better . A riding buddy has a 26″ stumpy evo which i’ve tried a few times and really liked it as it does feel quicker but prefer the fun factor of the enduro . I would say 650b enduro or the 29 stumpy , go have a test ride 😉
I have a C4 and have used supertherm smokeless coal to keep it going for longer periods . Seems to tickover for days and will be warm enough in the morning to bung some kindling on it and get it going again . Well worth the investment .
Marin has had a few bits of trail work done . To be honest they’re both great trails but agree Penmachno may be a tad wet and messy due to forestry work .
