Women’s watches are not about the movement inside, they’re about the bling on the outside. Also, unusually in this case, size doesn’t matter. Wifey bought a new one last year and had trouble choosing between a ceramic Tag and a Longines with diamonds down the sides.

I assume you’ll be taking your wife along for the shopping trip? Could be an expensive mistake if not.

I got married in Keyna, 20 years ago so not really current. The only bit of advice I’d offer is, you’re unlikely to do it again so do the longest one possible.

We did Mombasa to Nairobi then up to Tree Tops for a night. Back to Nairobi then first class overnight sleeper back to Mombassa. Safari lodges were the best available and the whole thing was like a trip back in time.

I use them as summer waterproofs for the motorbike, the best bit of kit I’ve come across for this. I now feel a pair of cut downs heading my way.

I’ve got a Yeti AS-R, carbon back end with 100mm travel if you want to make an offer.

Try and see a few in the flesh before you buy, the fashion was for small watches. Compared to a modern watch they’re the size of a woman’s watch today. There are a few exceptions, the Omega Dynamic is quite wearable today, in fact I own one. 🙂

At last, something I can give a sensible reply to. Thirty years of experience with CX brakes and I now have the best setup I’ve ever used.

TRP CX 8.4 cantis with a travel agent.

Got the same setup on my bike with SRAM levers and wifeys with Shimano, both are about as good as CX brakes get.

I’m a late starter to the iDave diet having only discovered it last week, so first week on the diet.

The original poster asked for a lunch suggestion, I wandered over to Sainsburys metro and bought a tuna and bean salad which came with a pot of chilli sauce. Very tasty.

Wifey and I camped on Saturday but chickened out of the ride on Sunday morning. The temperature thingy in the car said 8 degrees at about 9:30 and neither of us were kitted out for winter weather. I think we made the correct choice.

    First post, so hello.

I was in shop at the weekend and looked at the Raptor 14, Nomad and Camelbak Mule, bought the Raptor.

Personal opinion but I preferred the bladder in the Raptor, and I found it the best set out. As mentioned it’s a bit strappy but no more so than the others really. The fabric is the lightest of the three, which may be an issue over time. Haven’t used it yet, first outing is tomorrow.
