I quite liked Bridge Constructor Playground when I played it earlier this year or last:
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/279990/Bridge_Constructor_Playground/?curator_clanid=33597088

    And Dynamite Jack too:

Portal 1+2 are superb too, amazing to play cooperative, and the Left4Dead2 is another good coop game.

Boost wheel is stiffer because hub flanges are wider.
Non boost fork is stiffer because the crown is narrower & the axle shorter.

I made the latter part up but it sounds probable. :)
I went for Boost forks though when my non-Boost ones went kaput.

I think that’s what I had, or similar. Pics here show how it came apart after possibly its first use. It became very difficult to extend, then the shafts came apart. I then took it to bits to have a look. As per pics.

I think part of the issue was that there’s a gap between the body & the handle where grit gets into (it was mounted on downtube bottlecage) & then when I used it it just scored the shaft & created lots of friction making it very difficult to extend.

Or maybe the air intake got blocked up.

I’m not sure if the pics show the bit you were after.

They don’t look pretty where you’ve been whacking them, but those bits aren’t load bearing. All the loads the frame receives from the bearings comes from the outer race, not the inner, and you’ve not damaged any of where they sit in the cups nor anything that transmits the loads to the frame. It might be worth using some wet & dry sandpaper to smooth them out a bit though.

I don’t know regarding your second query about lube.

I thought Trail was the last marketing term for the stuff that most of us ride, that sits between XC (racey) and AM/Enduro? Trail sounds better than downcountry/Downtownabbeycountry. :)

Difficult to tell from the pics.
Try looking at the chain whilst applying pressure to the pedals, with the rear brake on. Watch to see if the chain is moving outwardly away from the chainring, i.e. what it’d do if that is what is causing it so slip.
Other possible kind of slip-ish cause is a stiff chain link, but that only tends to fell odd every 4 pedals rotations or so. To look for a stiff chain link watch how the chain goes around the jockey wheels slowly.
Basically study the drivetrain to see if you can work out what is causing the slip. :)

I got the Lifelife one first, it didn’t work so I sent it back. I then got the Topeak one & it works reliably so far.

I think I got it sussed, the bottom cap has a lip that pushed that bit in fully I think. Sorted, hopefully.

Take the original price & square it. :^)

Nah, usually half things each year is something I’ve heard before, but in the covid market you could maybe price it a bit higher.

I use 2 old BT home hubs as extra wifi access points, just disable DHCP etc.

I got a torque wrench after my hope pro 4 hubs got cracks at the edge of some of the bolt holes. I must’ve over-tightened them but I don’t think I did it a silly amount. I didn’t get an expensive adjustable torque wrench, just a couple of pre-set ones for 5Nm & 6Nm, they cover most bolts on the bike.

The problem with ebay is they could do a dispute or charge-back or whatever or say it didn’t arrive & no doubt it’d be nigh on impossible to resolve in the sellers favour. I’ve sold plenty small value stuff on ebay without trouble, but not a bike.

Taking to their house if nearby is a good idea, I’ll keep it in mind, thanks.

I’ve not yet had any further leads & i want to keep the ad up for a few days to see what comes in.

I’ll install my bank’s mobile app, I’ll ask for payment that way rather than cash, and test txn is a good idea too. :)

I’ll attach a rope to the bike for the test ride!

Thanks all, good points. I shall take my time a bit & see what comes in & hide stuff away. Maybe I’ll meet them up the street a bit too. I read somewhere that bank transfers you’re best to wait until the following day before letting go of the item being sold?

I though Paypal Gift was a big no-no, i.e. the buyer can reverse it easily?

Nobody would have any outlet to vent their frustration if Twitter was shut off anyway, so it’d be a silent win-win. :)

The eyesight reason for the journey is probably just a bluff for the birthday trip; it’s so stupid that they can’t possibly have made it up therefore it must be true, sort of a ruse.

I don’t recall if on Monday when Dom was being interviewed, whether it was known that he’d gone to the Castle on his wife’s birthday, but it would have been great if they’d asked him “can you confirm the date you drove to the castle” … “and does that date coincide with your wife’s birthday”.

Why don’t they loan out money instead of bailing them out, i.e. the lender gets it back, with interest preferably?

Edit: ah, after a quick DuckDuckGo; bailouts can take the form of loans. If that’s what the UK government generally does, that sounds reasonable.

Those long platform Catalyst pedals by pedalinginnovations might help, they pop up in the news every so often (new version appeared recently). I think they’re made by Superstar for the USA market but might not yet be available in the UK. They look interesting to me anyway seeing as I’m tall, but they’re very expensive.

It’s factually correct for once though. :P

Screen too bright/dark compared to background?
    Not drinking enough water?
Play with colour/temperature settings on monitor.
I’m not sure refresh rate makes much of a difference on LCD screens; I could notice 60Hz vs 75Hz on CRT, but I don’t think I can on LCD. Worth a shot though.

What’s wrong with extendible dog leads? I’ve started to use mine recently due to covid19 situation.
