Yes I like the 3k in either gloss or matt but from their descriptions of the three I was reading that the UD was strongest, I think but it wasn’t really clear……Matt3K it is then

Does anybody understand the LB 3K/12K/UD options for rim make up……..I’ve read the explanation about 10times and still can’t work out which is best ie strongest overall…….anyone enlighten me please?

Did you just order and then wait for the call or did you pay duty up front?

AC AM’s ordered from LBS….they showed me the Race 29’s and sure enough, big bulges around at least 4 spokes and loads of dings……cheers Bregante and all…..I’ve got Race 29’s on the Carbine and they’re dinged but no spoke hole bumps……might go down the LB rims route for them as soon as the start to fail….many thanks again

IOM is a big mix of XC moorland, quite rocky descents (which I’m now riding faster apparently) and rooty rocky forest trails. Oh and a couple recently built Enduro tracks which are quite steep and technical.

Maybe it’s me but if they’ve supplied something “unfit for purpose” ie prone to diving and blowing through its travel and no difference between C T + D, the surely should be fixed fer nowt.

I sent Avid/SRAM whoever an email saying the same about my 2012 elixir 5 brakes….quoting magazine criticism and my LBS statements for bleeding (lots) and I got an apology and a brand new set of Avid 9s….worth a go

So ok I get the chain options……while lashing the gunk/white spirit or whatever degreaser on cassette and chainrings etc need I worry about said stuff attacking BB/freewheel hub/bearings and effectively degreasing or damaging them?

Do you just lash it on all over when fitted or do you have to strip it down?

Hi Paul, A ride with Westy after 2 weeks off is always going to be interesting but it flew up and the Pike seemed as smooth as,on the downs….absolutely loved it…….and my orange flouro TLD shorts obviously were the icing on the cake.

Had both and if you’re taller than average its Trance all the way…..did Ratrace and IOM E2E on Trance plus many more and it never missed a beat…..geometry spot on for the nadgery
Stuff too….. Mine is/was the X29er0 the anthem was the X1 both great but I always felt a bit far forward on it in an OTB stylee…..weight difference negligible …..hope this helps

Did Ratrace last year….awesome event, great crack at campsites…some fab off- road trails but too much road for my liking…..especially as it was 30 degrees most of the time..you’ll love it though!!!!!!!!

Mix hemp protein and L-glutamine and water take 1-2 hours before and same after within 2 hours of finishing add a zero high tab (electrolyte) to the after drink….. Got me through 5 days continual riding in Wales last weekend (220k) and I’m 58. Did 45 miles on sat all ok
