Stocks or public hanging for for being so dim to have actually tweeted about committing the alleged offences in the first place and, as far as I know, having shown little or no remorse.

    3 – 2 bugger.

England are shit as a team, we won’t do anything against decent competition and although English I would have like nothing better than a right drubbing from Scotland.

Wow 20 miles of rough terrain and they can’t do it? Wonder whether the moon landings are real if you can’t build a 20 mile barrier.

The Australians managed 3500 miles in 1880, however I assume the advantage they must have had was it was mice and level.

How the **** does a bear break into a house, is it like “climbed through an open window” or jimmied it open. What if they are caught going equipped?

In all seriousness it would be good if there was a way to at least partition the are, I know it would be a bloody big fence but hey as depicted above we are encroaching more into their environment than they are into ours. It saddens me to see such animals getting destroyed when more could be done.

The cat may be chipped however not sure if many cat owners do this. I’m more a dog person and guess more dogs are.

I agree with you that moving it to the road side is a minimum and if there is ID then follow it up and let them know. Its quite gauling that someone can run anything over and just leave it.

Might just be me but at least I would think of trying to dispose of it appropriately or let the family if it could be ID’d rather than squashed. I guess its about dignity.

Probably all trails will be tarmaced over to prevent serious injury and the rest will go into painting a 12 inch wide strip between street lights if the planning buffoons have any input.

I didn’t realise that a massive amount had been axed.

When does a person who owns a bike become a cyclist.

Might be a strange question but when I learnt to ride I was also taught how to use the road. I then learnt to drive a car and had to pass a test etc. Even in the more rural areas around where I live I see people I would consider cylists running reds. Then I see people who have absolutely no clue what so ever about the responsibilities of cycling riding through the local pedestrianised precinct, over pavements etc.

CM all consider themselves cyclists, probably, but how can we define them as its not a group, organisation etc. Its a bunch of people who go and ride badly enforcing negative stereotypes of cyclists. Blocking traffic, riding on pavements etc. That in no way excuses the drivers behaviour however if they were organised they may garner a little more respect as at least the rides could be co-ordinated. Supported by police, trafic conditions considered and notices posted of routes on trafic bulletins.

Generally the people who are crap cyclists are probably crap drivers. The driving test is inadequate in this day and age. I do not see an end to the hostility when cyclists do themseleves no favours in the eyes of the the media and everyone else. I can’t see a time when, in the UK motorists and drivers will coexist happily together when the shit houses can hurl abuse at you and harrass you and speed off in a metal box or give you a punishment pass.

I don’t get much hassle and its easier to turn the other cheek, take it on the chin etc. But what are we meant to do. Bad cyclists should be punished as should bad motorists who is speaking up for cyclists.

Swallowed numerous wee beasties as there is a part on my regular ride full of em. Have noticed one or two buzzy things in my helmet recently but managed to dislodge them with a vigorous shake of the head. Think I might do the screaming girl thing if I hadn’t. Always wear glasses so I don’t get them in my eyes.

OK ned carry on trying to rewrite it to make sense to you. I can explain it to you but I can’t understand it for you.

To clarify me as an individual. I wouldn’t walk past a sick or injured animal. However if you banged your head and I stopped to see if you were ok, ie I was aware you were injured, and you had a bump and were not wearing a helmet I may choose to think that you were a little silly for not having a helmet on. Now if you think that I was suggesting I would ride past if you were lying in a ditch then think again.

But please do carry on with misquoting, I hope there is something in this post you are able to misquote.

Ned not sure if you are quoting what you think I wrote but thats not what I said.

Ned I see you are still trying to put your own twist on things and again both misinterpreting and misquoting what I have put.

Well done Terry do you want to quote the whole part of that or just the part you want to publish.

That is you respect my right to do so or someone who chooses to, again at no point did I say that I would, ie not saying that I would. Indeed even in your selective quote does it say I will walk past, fraid not so try again.

    pingu66

Actually you really need to go back and have a look at what is written.

At no point did I say that “I WOULD” walk past an injured rider. So yes feel free to criticise something that I have not actually said just what you believe I have said.

Its utterly depressing that you cant actually read.

For the record I did state that I respected your right not to wear a helmet.

I did not say that I would walk past but implied that you respect my right to do so if I think that you may have been in a better state having wore a helmet! That is you have a cut or banged head OK before you start jumping to conclusions.

Those figures don’t state what they are comparing the 1983 rates with in the table? Would be interesting to see, also how do they correlate with the increase in number of cyclists if they are recent. You put more people on the road with more cars you get more deaths.

The whole debate around helmets is ridiculous.

Currently we have personal choice, and thats also if we want to ride with people wearing and not wearing helmets. Me personally I respect your right not to wear one however please respect my right not to ride with you and to keep moving along if you have a crash and get head injury.

Some people may take greater risk with a helmet than without but do we see more people jumping red lights with helmets or without? I don’t know.

If you fall of your bike you may or may not hit your head. I know I did and my helmet protected it to the point my helmet was cracked, that could have been my head and I was travelling at less than 20mph, pretty sure my head hit the ground faster than 20mph though.

Would you rather take an impact to your skull with or without a helmet or do your mega skills preclude the possibility of you actually falling off your bike and hitting your bonce on something thats harder than your head.

Looking at the lights and pre-empting the sequence means you aren’t looking to see if some moron has ran the opposing red who will no doubt be bigger, heavier an moving quicker than you.

Please don’t. First you could get killed, second it’s a really bad example. Yep it’s frustrating waiting for lights sometimes and they might be a crap design but it’s what we have right now.

It’s the path of least resistance so as most of your bike is metal or carbon and a good conductor it could easily negate the 1″ of wet rubber as the alternative of just air probably has a much greater resistance than your tyres + your bike + you.

Thanks dazh I can understand that! Genuinely appreciate that. Sometimes you believe stuff other times you don’t and as I said depending on whose figures you read. I think officially its like 250k which is still a lot but then you see higher but never lower figures and if it plays into peoples agendas.

Weirdly I had never even thought of that.

Before anyone misinterprets what I write I am not a racist and tolerate all colour, religion etc. I even know a few French people I like and I am happy for anyone of any race or religion to come here as long as they are pleasant. Admittedly the EDL are morons, actually one of my acquaintances is an active member, seems like a nice guy until we get on certain subjects then turns batshit mental.

What are the current immigration laws in the UK. I understand people from within the EU have a right to come and work here but as I understand it other nationals fleeing hardship or oppression should seek refuge in the first safe country they enter. In many cases that would be other European countries.

For example the people coming in wagons from France, should they not seek refuge in France.

Regarding jobs, isn’t it that jobs should be filled by people from this country unless that is not possible. Obviously that includes the EU.

Asking initially as I do have quite simplistic views on many things but I am also open minded. However I do think immigration should be more tightly controlled and applied as we are forever hearing stories about “illegal” immigrants which we are led to believe is about 1 million, depending on whose figures you choose to believe. I would love to understand what or how these “illegal” immigrants exist or what indeed makes an illegal immigrant.

Ignore it. If that’s the routine you want it to follow and where it shall sleep then you have to set the standard. Just make a big fuss when you get up. Its only been a few days and would be used to its brothers and sisters next to it in the night.

The most important thing with a new puppy is being consistent even though sometimes it may pull at your heart strings.
