He was found out at Chelsea, he is getting found out again. I am all for giving someone time but getting an absolute drubbing when you meet any quality is inexcusable. OK Suarez was good today and they did try to stop him with a Bruce Lee style attack.

    It’s not IF it’s WHEN.

Report it, dogs shouldn’t go for cyclists or anyone for that matter, train it, get it used to these things FFS.

Dog owner, unprovoked attack, private property or not gets a jab from the vets no question.

I agree some of them are, and would appear to be common sense, unfortunately not every cyclist necessarily takes reasonable or sensible precautions.

Some on the other hand are quite ridiculous and illustrates the mentality of some people.

Genuinely got this the other day.

    My email to them

“Could you please forward the license file to myself.”

    The reply, via email.

“I just want to ask where do I need to send the copy of the license? May I have the email address please.”

Supposed to be shutdown from Christmas Eve to Jan 2nd but the firm I contract to need me to monitor some work on Boxing Day and the 28th. As Mrs Pingu is working all day Boxing Day and I will get paid for doing not a lot and having my phone on as well as the venue being a football ground and my team playing I jumped at the chance.

Reading the requirements the rear light also needs to be between 150 and 350mm from the floor. I would guess most people have them mounted higher than this.

Its also not just pedal reflectors but there is a requiremesnt for a red rear reflector so if you did get stopped if you are not fully compliant you could get a ticket.

I would hope that the generally had more pressing matters to attend to. Personally I do not ahv an issue with them stopping cyclists riding on pavements particularly where it is busy.

Having worked away all my life, parents dying early and spending far too many Christmases at friends I now try to have a traditional Christmas with my partner and her grown up children. She works in care though and often works Christmas day so sometimes our Christmas may be boxing day.

This is only the second year she has had Christmas day off although she will be working Christmas Eve and Boxing Day so will make it extra special.

Although it is a religious festival I treat it more as family and freinds and an important time when we can all get together and relax at least for a few days.

I looked at first aid kits and thought minimal was better as anything that needed much more than the very basics of strapping up or dressing I would be calling in the big boys.

I really need to get on a first aid course but being self employed! I know I will just feel better doing it.

That would be good for a warranty conversation after your car is recovered and all of the electronics have or start failing after being subjected to an elctromagnetic pulse. How will they prevent it affecting devices nearby.

I’m sorry, do we actually expect low paid, inexperienced and poorly trained employees to offer the sort of service you would expect from well paid, well trained and experienced staff?

Yes, if a company advertises that service, pretty sure its illegal to advertise a service you are incapable of delivering in this country. Even if you didn’t expect the same level of service it would be fair to expect a certain level of competency.

Ouch, think you might get better treatment at a local minor injuries or AE. There are cleverer people here than me in that respect but I would think GP will give you pain killers, if you can get an appointment. With a little luck AE will be quiet on a Sunday night.

It amuses me when I go in and they start banging on talking bollocks. Some of them do know stuff but its pretty generic and never really found them helpful even when looking at home cinema never mind pc’s.

Was at their tech support desk once and there was a lady buying Norton antivirus, when she asked how often it updated the PC world tech said every 6 months.

With RBS i would go for complete and utter incompetence. I feel like I am their first ever customer and they are testing their systems as everything is a cock up.

RBS in court for fraud, what for pretending to be a bank,?

They trully are utterly useless. I got £750 compensation after they closed my business account in breach of their own ts and cs. Still fighting regarding my personal account and I was there today telling them to sort out the “newly” opened business account. Absolute morons however I don’t have time to move everything so I am trapped.

Actually stormed in and got to talk to an area director after I “upset” one of more sensitive staff members. He told me that there is a drive to make banks more customer approachable, “&£^ me its the 21st century its only because they all act like clowns that any are in business as I don’t think there is anywhere to go.

When I was looking at opening the account for my business one bank didn’t even return my call to open the account.

Personally I would like to see all HGVs banned at peak hours. This would alleviate a great deal of congestion and make roads safer at the busiest times. I simply do not see the need for these when they could arrange deliveries at night and distribution via smaller vehicles during the day.

Any death is a tragedy but think there may be contributory factors from cyclists such as poor positioning in some instances, it is tragic but education and action is needed to stop this happening again. We won’t stop it all but its starting to be like a war zone. I advocate helmets and visible clothing BUT it won’t save you being crushed by 40 tons of truck.

Condolences to all the victims family and friends.

Its a major change I agree, its the considered consent and emotional capabilities of the young people I would be concerned about. If advice is difficult for young people to get then that is what needs to change and I do not see the need to change the age of consent to do that.

Just looking at picture of our “hurricane” on the BBC. A few trees blown over OK makes it look relatively serious. The other pictures are of people on either a beach or harbor wall. The beach is probably safer but the people on the harbor wall seriously should be locked up. One of them gets swept over and we send out rescue crews who may or may not coe back to to someones utter stupidity. I guess that happens every year when its a bit blustery but FFS they should get locked up for their own safety and the safety of others who may be needed in an emergency not of their own making.

These days its only occasional use. At most 2 or 3 times a week so as has been said on a cost per use basis its worth it.

    Suprised 😯

Makes me think if they would have wiped out everything if that many were deployed in a war?

Has it raised background radiation levels?

    Unbelievable really.

That is simply noise and utter drivel.

I am ashamed to be typing this as it is just a greater waste of my time.

I will listen to anything but that is weapons grade bollocks.

    +1000 for Henry

Had Dysons and forever putting bits back on them, died in a tumble down the stairs, yeah I know that will probably do it but the Henry just keeps on sucking. There is probably a reason contract cleaners use them.

Hope he makes a full and fast recovery. Thoughts to his family and friends.

Brilliant work looking after him until the paramedics got to you, undoubtedly traumatic but sounds like they kept their heads and looked after him. Sure he will be buying a few guys some beers.

Project apologies for the error the location being irrelevant.

The point being its very sad that even though the authorities find the culprit there is little done as a punishment.

It does look like this is far from an isolated incident and it is only by chance that some of these are discovered and removed and those that aren’t cause far less damage than the potential loss of someone’s loved one out enjoying a run or ride.

There was lad killed when this happened in Liverpool, they think he was only doing 19mph, easily achieved on a mountain bike. It was a company who wanted to keep people from their land that did it. £50k fine.

They can shout about how serious it is but the police and judicial system won’t do a great deal even if it results in a death.

I remember using one of them when I was an apprentice and getting ****ted in the head, arm hand every time it span back round. OK it may have been operator error but it hurt like hell and I feared the beast.

The Kurt Kinetic rock and Roll looks great fun. Been looking at videos of rollers and they look really narrow, which could be really interesting ie me on my arse, a lot.

Probably more confused now but still interesting, it seems personal preference.

@ swampi the speed cadence on Garmin is £45 will look at those.

Its not a case of motivation or even enjoyment. I dont mind riding in the wind but there is a point where it becomes dangerous and I don’t fancy getting blown under a truck.

Also I dont have the faff of cleaning the ike every ride getting ready etc and can probablly do a few sessions a day as I work from home. Jumping on rollers or Turbo I could actually do work while I was on them? LOL that you couldn’t do on a roller.
