I sent cash in a padded reused CRC envelope as I said I was (chancing it but Im lazy).
Oh no! is this another thread on the way??
pimpmyrideFree MemberI was the one who sent the kind lady friend round, and from what she said he is in his middle 30’s
IWH, the Hope brakes that you said you sent again standard parcels never turned up did you get a receipt?
Mrman, fatblokeattheback, have either of you got your iphone etc or a refund?
pimpmyrideFree Member“Whats the latest? Seriously off topic the stung need to pool resources/get your heads together to discuss collecting your money. Three then either go down to collect all or go the CCJ route so the fecker wont be able to get any credit/loan etc and have potential problems getting entrance to Uni”
Huh??
pimpmyrideFree MemberHey Paul, you are one patient guy! I thought I was patient waiting 3 weeks!
pimpmyrideFree Membermatthew_h me too not desperate as I havn’t even ridden the bike yet due to being p****d around with some forks and brakes that never turned up!
As soon as the bike is finished which should be this weekend (brakes and pikes on order from someone else) I will let you know if I want to swap, are yours in good condition?pimpmyrideFree MemberDoes he lick your balls for you?
Seriously though I hope everyone gets their stuff or money back as this is going on for too long now! I just got lucky.pimpmyrideFree Member“And if I am the sort of person that anyone’s mum would scare off if I went round looking for him. Biceps like semolina pudding, me”
Nice one, if I ever buy anything off you in the future then I will just make out it never turned up and then visit you now I know your a p***y :)
pimpmyrideFree MemberWell like I said before if it was left to just the people involved then it might of been sorted by now.
pimpmyrideFree MemberRight then guys this is getting a bit too silly now!
As I was one of the original posters then I will have a last say.
Like my first post said I stated actual facts that I know to be 100% true and have actually happened to me and are listed as follows.1. I paid him £405 for some Pikes and Hope Mono M4’s (TRUE)
2. I received emails and correspondance stating that my parcels had been posted and tracking numbers had been provided (TRUE)
3. I never received anything (TRUE)
4. Everytime I emailed him he emailed me back (TRUE)
5. I had an absolute nightmare experience with Lee (TRUE)
6. Everytime I spoke to Lee he was very pleasant and VERY appologetic (TRUE)
7. I never once threatened him and he never threatened me (TRUE)
8. I sent someone round to his house (TRUE)
9. It was a lady who went round so hardly intimidating! (TRUE)
10.I found it very hard to get a refund (TRUE)
11. I got a full refund in cash in the end (TRUE) and i’m still saying thankyou Lee
12. Admitedly I did get p****d off with Lee and stated that I would take the day off work and come to his house and collect the cash myself (TRUE) but I never threatened himIf Lee is reading this then hopefully he will reply and confirm these facts all to be true.
Seriously guys I know you are proper p****d off but threatening to knife him or do him in is a bit too far imo.Like I said I got a full refund and i’m glad, I never once said he was a scammer because I had no actual proof either way so I did the correct thing and stated actual 100% true facts, if people want to twist this and turn this thread into a witch hunt then thats up to them but please guys just let the people who are involved sort this out themselves as Lee is probably cacking himself now!
As you have seen I have had a full refund then hopefully Lee will refund the rest of you until this is sorted lets just give him some space to at least try and repair this awful mess!Any responce Lee?
pimpmyrideFree Memberton… I hear you mate, I probably could of worded it a little better sorry but I don’t want to get into a heated debate with you mate i’m just really p****d off :)
As for the 12 month user rating yeah stupid me I forgot about the hacking problem messing up everyones history!
The main message I was trying to get across was maybe all involved should try the route I took and if that doesn’t work then its up to you what you do, i’m just saying that constant emailing, ringing him every day and getting someone to go round to his house worked but believe me I nearly gave up!Yes this is the place to discuss issues like this as a forum is afterall an oppurtunity for people to say what they want and when they want but I also think that a certain degree of tact is appropriate if you are indeed considering going round to his house.
pimpmyrideFree MemberChakaping and KINGTUT, I understand your comments on why should I thank him for a refund when I had to get someone to visit his house but threatening him and going nuts wasn’t the first thing on my mind but getting a refund was.
I tried my absolute hardest to keep the sale and to give him the benefit of the doubt to start with but it was obvious there was some serious issues and that I wouldn’t be receiving the forks and brakes.
I still can’t understand why all these people including me have paid all this money out and received nothing yet he keeps emailing us back and giving excuses, whilst this doesn’t seem like the normal behaviour of a typical scammer it is some what strange and damn annoying.I was merely trying to point out that although I had a damn nightmare with this person and I wouldn’t ever buy off here again unless I was 100% sure I have to say that I have honestly received a refund and i’m just happy its over for me so as i’m a nice guy I thanked him, don’t confuse this with me being totally ok about it because i’m not!
I do however feel sorry for all those involved still waiting for parcels and refunds and really hope you all get sorted.
I still can’t get my head around what has happened and i’m still really p****d off with the whole thing as I have now bought new forks and brakes off SDH forum and asked the poor lad who I am paying for his landline number work address and work phone number! that is just plain stupid as the poor lad thinks i’m doubting his honesty and all this is because of IWH not sending parcels or giving refunds. And as for people suggesting threats and beating him up well thats just not going to help especially considering some comments are from people who havn’t bought anything from him??
Next time I will only buy something off someone who has been a member for at least 12 months and can be backed up by multiple users, the problem is we all live in a bit of a lets trust anyone world and this time its backfired BIG TIME! we are all human beings at the end of the day and this forum relys on a certain degree of trust so lets try and keep it that way eh ;)
Mods are you going to update us on what you make of all this?
IWH lets hope you sort this out as there are some seriously p****d off people now!
pimpmyrideFree MemberRight then thought I would update you all on whats happened with my purchase.
I bought and paid for a set of Pike coil 454 forks and some Mono M4 brakes on the 11th april.
After 2 weeks and still no forks or brakes I contacted IWH who said he was in California, he then said they were being posted using DHL but they wouldn’t take them as the packing was an obscure shape?
I then had an email saying they had been sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery and he provided me with 2 tracking numbers which after 3 days of checking kept saying “sorry there is no information for this order please come back later”
After this I then asked for a full refund which he agreed to do and I gave him my account details and sort code.
I was assured that the money had been paid in but after checking online nothing was there.
By this time I was VERY concerned as it was obvious there was a problem. Finally I got in touch with a friend of my cousin who lives in Plymouth and they agreed to go to his house and collect the money in cash from him, this was successful but believe me it wasn’t easy!
So to those who have still yet to reeive parcels or get a refund then maybe this will put your mind at rest that hopefully you will receive either the parcel or a refund.
Sorry to post this Lee but I thought it was only fair to let people know of my experience and what the outcome was.
Further to this I will say that Lee is easy to talk to and was pleasant throughout the whole situation and the end result was I got a full refund so thankyou Lee.Maybe he just sold too many things and is backlogged?
Anyway thats my say on this matter and thanks again Lee for the refund.
pimpmyrideFree MemberOMG! this guy has such a natural talent, I think he’s only scratched the surface of what he can really achieve.
Makes Ryan Leech look like a beginner!pimpmyrideFree MemberRacingralph, the N95 is brilliant with tom tom 6 and works awesomely!
It would mean buying a tiny bluetooth gps set for around £20-£30 or go on the internet and unlock the N95’s chipset and use the Garmin Mobile XT software :)
Simples :)pimpmyrideFree MemberHey Vortex, yeah I won them for £150 posted!
I think its a good deal, especially as merlin are out of stock and won’t be getting any more in at that price and CRC are doing them at £90 each with standard hoses and no rotors!!
Bargain tastic :)pimpmyrideFree MemberThanks guys for the advice, hey Vortex just made an offer of £150 posted which I think is a good buy considering the braided lines, 200mm rotors, and condition being mint! what do you think mate?
pimpmyrideFree MemberEDIT! sorry vortex just looked on Merlin and seen they only come with 750mm!
Out of stock though mate but the others are 200mm rotors and braided hoses and mint so maybe they are worth £180?pimpmyrideFree MemberLonger hose? what do you mean mate? 33″ is about 840mm isn’t that plenty for a hardtail with Pikes?
pimpmyrideFree MemberVortexracing, :) yeah they be the ones buddy!
Not worth that much though are they?pimpmyrideFree MemberOk thanks, do they feel well built and look good in the flesh as iv’e only seen a picture of the ones i’m possibly buying?
What bike do you have them on ie is it an xc or all mountain setup stopping alot of weight (don’t take that the wrong way!) :)pimpmyrideFree MemberLee did you get my last email today about the refund?
If so can you please email me back mate i’m well desperate/worried now :(pimpmyrideFree Member“On my second Handjob and third Stiffee.
Got a Sanchez frame that I aquired whilst drunken bidding on e-Bay.
And a Hustler and Shocker. I’d like a G-Spot but may wait for the ‘new’ one”
Flippin eck!!! now that is more money than sense lol!!
I can’t wait to ride mine just fine tuning/setting it up at the weekend then off for its 1st spin can’t wait :)pimpmyrideFree MemberMk1fan.. what Cove you got mate?
Iv’e just finished building my Cove Stiffee :) pics on the bike chat forum by the weekend :)pimpmyrideFree MemberAh here we go again with the normal pathetic STW comments from the same people as usual with their normal “heres my chance to be nasty to someone on the other side of the monitor comments.
He was merely asking a question and someone was just giving advice afterall everyone is allowed the freedom of speech right??
If I were you mate I would shortlist 2-3 bikes from both freeride and DH category and read some reviews from bikeradar/bikemagic etc then figure out what riding you will be doing primarily and then look for the bike that fits that style.
And as for more money than sense WTF! if he has the money then let him get a nice bike! he’s probably earned it, sounds like jealousy to me :)But seeing as you have asked I would deffo buy 2nd hand as you get more for your money, if I were getting a freeride bike then probably a Santacruz Bullit, for downhill then probably a second hand V10 or maybe an Orange 223/224 etc 2nd hand also as chances are it will be very well specced and have just about everything upgraded and be bombproof for £2000
It would probably make more sense if your just starting to get a 6-7″ travel bike with a double upfront so it can be pedalled uphill as chances are the majority of good downhills in the UK normally start with an uphill :(Go for it mate and just have fun riding.
MUPPETS!
pimpmyrideFree MemberAs a matter of fact yes! she lasted 14 minutes and 37 seconds :)
I’d class her as very fit!pimpmyrideFree Member“Does she squeal like a pig?”
What do her bedroom antics have to do with anything?
pimpmyrideFree Membercynic-al yeah think your slightly right mate, its because my last rims (EX729’s were mahooooosive! so i’m rightly so marginly concerned :)
But jackass has more than cheered me up and I shall be keeping them on now :)pimpmyrideFree MemberJackass your a flippin star mate :)
What size tyres are they in the picture? are they 2.35 bluegroove up front with a nevegal 2.35 rear?
Lastly (sorry!) do the rims plump out your tyres ok?pimpmyrideFree Membercheers mate, so you think the rims are plenty tough enough? they cost me a fortune! and I went on the fact that on all reviews not one person has a negative comment about them just 5/5 everywhere :)
pimpmyrideFree MemberI got caught riding somewhere I shouldn’t have been and got told to go, so I accepted it as we were sort of lost (new ride we hadn’t done) and started to go down the trail/path to get off and 5 minutes later on the way down a huge guy who was fell running came up behind us and was really rude and told us to get lost!
I gave him my 2pence worth back to which he replied “you what sunshine” and proceeded to run after me! needless to say I bobbed it and razzed off at high speed! as he was about 6.4 (no joke).
I think if he would have caught me he would have punched me and forgot about a fine :(
Moral of the story don’t ride where you not supposed to and don’t p**s off fell runners :(pimpmyrideFree Membermikeatually, “core to the max erm dude” classic mate made me laugh :) but on a serious note pretty much everyone is saying the same thing that pisspots may not look like catwalk add ons but they protect your head better than an xc lid so end of debate.
Now I just need to pick the right style/colour pink or grey :)
