Hi Joe, its an SLX HG-81, its rattling around (1st 3 sprockets at the top) has to be a dodgy cassette, its 6 rides old though!

legend = your forgiven :) the parts that had too much gravel and were a bit dodgy is partly due to the fact that 4 years ago when we went out group consisted of adults and kids. We had to therfore go on some detours not normally ridden and to be honest I really didn’t enjoy my first experience of Morzine! I know crazy you say, but the holiday was somewhat out of my hands and we had to go along with what the 4 days bought :(
My brother in law went last year and as he rightly said, “the best riding ever” I know its awesome and I can’t wait, so maybe my mind is still scarred with the crappy family friendly trails I encountered. In all honesty though I do genuinely enjoy the Fatty and it grips like crazy so I thought what better situation to really test it out other than a proper trip back to Morzine :)

Accu = I promise there will be plenty of pics :)

I bought my daughter (its unisex) 8 years old, a Grit Flux scooter £80 at the time so may be cheaper now.
Excellent bearings, triple clamp headset, wheels just the right size, taken loads of abuse, sits in the garden and the shed when remembered and still no rust after a year, absolutely glides on smaooth tarmac. They get cracking reviews :)

LOL! no genuinely the video is just for future laughs, ince building it the things grips like s**t to a blanket and I actually find myself riding faster and faster in to corners like a nutter! I went to Morzine 4 years ago and remember how much gravel and tight corners there was and I had to slow down, i’m thinking that yes my wrists will get a battering, and my arse will hurt but god it will be fun on a fat bike! or as Legend puts it, I hope everyone will look at me after paying £500 out and travelling to another country just for that reason.

nickjb… don’t flame me mate but are you taking the p**s or are you being serious? if they will accommodate like that then I will simply make an aluminium connector just in case :)
Would love to go now in the winter but I don’t think they would be too impressed going down at a proper resort, maybe one day off piste somewhere!

“However, if you really have to be Mr Look-at-Me” I just knew someone would be typical Mr nasty at some point.

stuey = yes, I was thinking of a strap with a simple carribina snap on attachment.

Good god that’s awful! Makes me shudder just thinking about walking out to my garage and the bloody roof being peeled off! Exactly the reason why I pay £75 a year to keep mine in a mates motorhome on a secure caravan site, had 4 stolen each time from my garage, scum bags!

letmetalktomark- Hi mate, to be honest I have tried running them much higher but the same issue arises.
The tyre jumps around on the rim even inflated to high pressure and wobbles sideways!
I’m hoping it’s just faulty tyres, but to have 2 tyres do the same thing on brand new rims is just crazy.

Thanks mOrk, do you not find that the front wheel comes out the bead at all? Having issues getting mine to spin without jumping

Candodavid, how did you stop them sinking in to the rim when letting air out to desired pressure? I can get them to seat fine but as soon as I try to get them to around 10psi some of thebtire sinks back past the bead seat.

    pimpmyride

Fd3chris, what I mean is, I pump them to to 50 psi! I know sounds crazy, then they pop in to place nicely, then let them down to desired pressure and about 10 inches along one side the bead just sinks back in! Cant even ride the darn thing, gutted! So will leaving them over night help? I’ve drilled the rims surely that’s not causing an issue is it?

Frankenstein, yeah it is awful, I have been there for 9 years employed by the same company when all of a sudden I was hit with the reality of a private firm taking over, my contract was supposed to be protected however months down the line little things are popping up that I am finding difficult to do.

The latest one involves me being on call out for a week at a time on a 3 week rolling rota and being told I can't drink, can't go out at night, can't go anywhere at the weekends unless I can guarantee myself being at work within 20 mins of getting the call.

The worst bit about all this are you ready for this…… I DON'T GET PAID!!! "only if I actually get called out I will get paid!

So basically I am on call, lose my whole week and weekend on the assumption that I may get called out but i'm not compensated for it if I don't get called out!
All of this was NOT in my original contract which I have obtained from my employer which is even harder to swallow.

I'm well gutted as iv'e aproached my boss and have been told that it is covered in my contract under the part that says (quote) "any other request regarded as reasonable by the employer to meet the clients needs"
I always thought a reasonable request was something like being asked nicely to stay behind after my shift to help others who are maybe struggling which is absolutely fine.

I am getting no where fast with all this and have resulted to contacting the HR department as I now feel i'm being bullied at work (please don't laugh) i'm no wimp and can fight my own corner but fear that the power of this certain company may be a bit too much for me.

Also just so people are aware i'm not being unreasonable at work nor am I refusing to do my share etc etc I just genuinely feel that this is one step too far and its actually upsetting me now and also affecting my family life as major planning has to be made to be able to go out to the cinema, for a meal, or even shopping now! :(

But what position should the mech be in when in big to big?

    pimpmyride

Just off its limit meaning the mech is stretched as far as it will go or the opposite where its just pulled slightly?
Sorry but pics are so much easier :(

I'll get a pic up later, but its hard to explain its almost like the front part of the headtube is a tiny bit thicker than the back, are all hecklers like this?
