My brothers doing a geological survay somewhere in north wales in the £60 TESCO tent.

I was doing a geological survey not far away but I had a cottage, got 4 weeks camping it next year though but thankfully I own a decent tent ;)

Have a look at the vango range of tents matey, not too much money but a million times better quality.

Don't do what I did and use a metal pole from the bottom to hammer it out, I funked up the head doctor and my steerer WHOOPS.

I had a pain getting mine in first time round however the replacement just dropped right in.

Is there a reason the head badge is on upside down?

Nice looking bike though, very nice :)

I reckon no bolts will be left out on the following observations.

He has a Teg so clearly likes a decent car.

He is into bikes and all bike people who tinker with bike parts are meticulous with how things go back together.

    I just have faith!

    Good luck fella.

I am very lucky that my good lady doesn't mind how much time I spend with my bike, I would hate her to get into it though as then she would know how much things actually cost!!! *AHEM*

That being said post ride beer in the garden is awesome!!!!

Very odd sight to see a Teg's heart being worked on, them things are super solid (just not as solid as my VVTLI ;))

If your on about MTB routes the best you will get is a couple of laps round Brereton heath. I was raised in Holmes Chapel (no one seems to know where it is so a shock to see a post about it)

There really is no real off road riding of any worth but the heath has a few decent bits if you venture off the paths. (you will get bored very quickly there though)

Road rides there are plenty, get an OS and pick a route ;)

I have only ever used Diadora shoes, I really get on well with them but doubt I would pay full whack for a pair.

The time has come for me to replace mine but I cant find any decent deals on a 44.5 so am moving to another shoe!

Can get 2 bikes on this, keeps it out the way and handy for working on the bike.

I had an old Rockhopper like that it was awesome, I had it pinched and replaced it with a 2001 A1 FS (Judy XC fork which was amazing at the time I thought)

Still riding the frame although the other bits are very different, love this frame so much.

I would hate to be the miserable shit that doesn't say hello to people when walking about.
where I live everyone knows everyone and its great to be part of a friendly hello saying community ;)

I had this today, had loads of hellos from mtb's but none from the roadies. (I was on a mtb) I will keep saying a cheery hello as I don't do it for the response. :)

We bought my granddad that exact one as he couldn't see the buttons on the other one he had. He loves it and it gives us peace of mind that if he needs us he can actually see the buttons to get through to us :)

Just come back from a 2 week geological map making adventure, no riding will be done today as I was pooped. I did however clean and lube my bike ready for tomorrow when I should have recovered :)

Lean against a wall and get used to clipping and unclipping, and don't worry when you miss you pedal for the first few rides.

DON'T pull a wheely as I did on my first spud outing, went off the back and couldn't unclip upside down and looked very silly in front of a very hot group of ladies!!!!

I live on a private road and yes its very annoying when people think they have right of way.

As you stated he had a glass of wine in his hand (maybe the catalyst for the outburst?)
Maybe on another day they would have simply pointed out the error in your lady's ways but unfortunately she got an ear bashing.

I have a solution instead of getting revenge….. don't ride the private route again?

yes its wrong but then you should already know that if you have any sort of moral compass!

Regardless of what a violent, fatty, racist they may be who gives you the right to fu*k over their career.

Proper shady underhand shit matey regardless of weather they deserve it.

If your mate did a Btec then the points are micky mouse ones and not proper UCAS ones. No chance of getting in to a Uni that wants 3 As at A level.

Not true, I got into a top uni for my subject with a BTEC. Its all about grades and showing a willingness to learn, you can do that with very good BTEC results (mostly distinctions) or via traditional A levels.

This post has made me laugh… it has also made me realise that i hadn't even considered these types of problems! I start commuting (its only an 18 miler so nothing big) very shortly and as well as all the deathwish drivers to contend with I may also have no trousers to wear when I get there as I am the most scatterbrained person in the world.

Could make for some interesting days, cheers for the insights.

We built some on council owned property and when some dude drove over to us one day when we were jumping, they asked what we were doing (ummmmm isn't that obvious) then asked if we were the ones who built the jumps, then he went on to say as they were built so well and seem sturdy as long as we knew the risks they could remain for us to use!!!!

they stayed for a few years before the council finally bulldozed them…… result :)

Why didn't you do what your mate did?

Don't worry about other peoples paths mate, just get on with yours.

You can still achieve a first at a below average uni ;)

7 day shop do a range of 2900 NiMh rechargeable i've been using them for a while in everything from my GPS to my bike lights. They are flawless and by far the best battery i have used for life and longevity.

    Any charger will charge them.

I was out for well over 8 weeks (but then I had very serious pneumonia) Do not rush your recovery it will only make you feel worse.

Get better soon I really wouldn't wish pneumonia on my worst enemy I thought I was going to die!

Makes a very slight difference but probably the only noticeable difference will be the awesome sound it now makes ;)

The typhoon kits are popular with people on a car forum I use but there was a problem (I can only speak about Corolla's) with holes being blown through the pipe that attaches it.

For the money I would say its not worth it as a standalone mod, if used in conjunction with other engine mods then maybe worth the time/money.

It will also increase your insurance ;)

I live in Leicester so I cant wait till I get chased down by some poolice on a bmx, if none of their panda mates are about there is not much chance of him/her catching me :D

Just another good excuse to point and laugh at the filth.

Just as the Crisis was hitting hard we had bought our first home at a real top end price. the market then went into free-fall and I worried a bit.
I had made the decision before it hit to leave my job and return back to study, so glad I did as as soon as it got tough for businesses my old company laid everyone off!!! Lucky escape, the house is now back up to past what we paid for it so luckily I have escaped completely problem free :)

If I had not gone back to Uni I would have been screwed!!!

I rode my bike with slightly (I emphasise slightly) bent forks thinking I would get away with it if I wasn't too heavy handed as it had survived a beating the day before.

They snapped whilst landing a very small stair jump and I ended up plastered all over the university of Leicester library pavement!!!

    I was young (and stupid)

Don't have a problem on all day rides on my Alloy HT,

Horses for courses really isn't it, just because I'm comfy doesn't mean you will be.

New bikes are always exciting though so have fun whatever you choose.
