On my second Phillips one (about 20 quid in argos) first one lasted about 5 years, this one has been going strong for about 2 years so far.

Wife came back from there the other week with a new kitchen knife. Didn’t ask how much it cost.

    Lots ;)

I had lunch in there the other day and found the greatest sarnie filling ever, Cream cheese, date and mint mmmmm mmmmm. I love that place so much.

I use them and always pretty slow on delivery. (it is my fault though as they are not that far away so I should pop in rather than order online)

I ride alone I prefer it these days, being in the middle of nowhere on your own with just a bike. that’s why I ride its my solace.

The other half dives for the same escapism but for me its to leave the ratrace behind get out into nature and possibly find some good rocks to look at too ;)

I thought district 9 was amazing, The only downside was that it showed how awesome Halo would have been if they had completed it :(

In that situation then yes, I think it only right to offer a drink.
Some people don't have social skills though.

Or they could have just been really busy and needed to get off somewhere.

I will never forget the day I walked into my friends room to find her hanging from the ceiling, she was pre op but was only a few months away from having the full operation.

She couldn't handle life anymore because of all the narrow minded idiots that couldn't just live and let live.

My biggest regret was she told me she was going to do this (not in so many words) but I missed the clues.

Some proper w@nkers on here spread the love people not the hatred.

There are some well stressy people on this forum.

If it pi55es you off that much why don't you dump the car get on your bike ride with these people and make some new friends?

it can be really annoying to be held up behind anything on the roads at times but that's life isn't it full of little annoyances and all.

I don't even ride a road bike but we are all cyclists and mostly motorists so surely we can all see both sides of it?

How much ram do you have in there? if you have 2 banks ie onboard and extended then take the extended and boot without it. I would put money on it being a ram fault given those symptoms ;)

Its way off being dead yet matey.

Some days it takes me about half an hour just to get to the bottom of my street (that has about 10 houses on it) that's because good neighbours talk about stuff. Living in a community is great some of you should try it ;)

Do parents see it as a win when their kids get into uni (not just proud parents but the fact you finally get rid of them?)

I always saw me going to uni as a blessing for my father, and I'm pretty sure he did as well ;)

Pik n Mix – have you ever had to do a Brompton rear wheel on the side of the road? Faffier than a very faffy thing on the faffiest day of it's life. Sometimes lobbing it in the nearest bike shop is the sensible (if costly) option

you raise a valid point and no I haven't, sounds faffy ;)

I am amazed that anyone would pay a LBS to change a tyre. That's ultimate lazy, bit like paying for someone to wash your car.

but each to your own. You wont be doing it again in a hurry ;)

I've never popped a rock in a mate's camelback, because that would be wrong……….

Classic trick on Geology field trips,

Its a bit harsh but black paint pen on black grips is rather amusing, It washes off but I started using clear grips to stop this annoying trend of my mates rides ;)

how old are you? you sound like a spoilt 16 year old to me, for many/majority they are very important and make a serious difference to their life chances. OK if you go on to get good a levels then a degree they are less important but you need them to do a levels.

Your GCSE's do not make a serious difference to your life chances. its people with that attitude that put too much pressure on people at ages where they should really be doing more to enjoy life rather than worry and stress over pointless exam results. As for A levels you don't really need them either ;)

I don't tend to wear flip-flops but I do find that a very strange attitude.

If you spend any meaningful length of time on a beach, you'd be barefoot?

Never been to a volcanic beach then.

I will however rephrase, flip flops are ok if travelling to and from the beach or poolside. That work better ;)

I have slight ocd when it comes to washing hands, I would never go to the toilet without washing my hands, when I am on my bike I actually carry a small bottle of handwash!

It ruins my life sometimes but what can you do!

If I saw any situation where someone looked like they were in trouble biker, walker, even a stupid horsey fool I would stop and make sure everything is ok.

I would like to think someone would do the same if I were ever in that situation.

What a bizarre question. (eta bizarre question explained, I cant believe no one stopped. And next time fuel up ;))
