A friend broke a Marin hanger in Switzerland, unless the guide was joking, there is only one Marin dealer and he hadn't a clue where the place was! Be warned Marin owners, start looking now and stock up if your going abroad!!

PS. I'm nothing to do with manufacture/supply of Marin hangers (if such a person exists!!) 😆

This years Bonty 24/12 would be hard to beat.

Needs some of their rigid carbon blade forks, they are seriously lush too, but at £330 I can't see any going on my Sir9 for a while! 😥

    Alfa 2.4 JTD Sportwagon.

    Ex Tuning company development car.

With all the gadgets and gizmo's turned on it's over 300bhp and >500 lb/ft torque 😯 Yep, that breaks lots of clutches! Kevlar, ceramic you name it!

These are great cars to drive even as Std, 3 bikes and 3 people + gear for a weekend away.

Guess it depends which way you were turning, right must be easier than left?

what length forks did those hummers have?

140mm Pikes on both I think.

You might be able to squeeze an extra lap or two in if it's a 12 / 24 hour endurance type event if your not lugging so much weight around.

Doesn't sound too bad to me, but I've not bother to look and see if these are similar items!

2 out of 4 Hummers have cracked round my neck of the woods, both in the same place.

    Ditto, M960!

They weren't hard to get a few months ago, but you could be right now.

Ridethealps are good, do all sorts of things, but maybe a tad expensive.

Save up for the Chamonix – Zermatt trip – awesome.

Halo Freedom’s are good, around the £200 mark – without tyres!!

So it was you’re fault I was made to get off and walk that bit!!

I did curse, but all became clear round the next corner!! where they were still removing you, on the quad bike – yeah?

Glad you’re ok, better luck next year.

Not as many v’s the advantages.

Like already said, messy when switching tyres, but get yourself a big fat syringe and you can suck up most of the fluid (and reuse).

I took a back tyre off once, can’t remember why, peeled all the dry latex off the inside becuase it was fun! When I stuck it back on there must have been 15 – 20 punctures in the tyre that I’d never know I’d had, they all sealed again too 😆

If my D80 wasn’t at my GF’s I’d take a picture of it in there, lens on wrapped in a T shirt or such like, not in a camera bag!

Niner bikes have a new EBB that has been getting good reviews.

Mine slips a bit, admittedly it hasn’t been done up with a torque wrench, but it’s pretty bloomin tight when is moves!

I use 2.35’s tubeless on DT Swiss x430 rims, you just need a little more air in them than on slightly wider rims.

I’ve got a mate in Italy and have flown with BA a few times to Bologna, never any problems, and he regularly flies back with his bike. I only put cycling related stuff in the bike bag and then only if my main case is getting a bit close to the limit.

I do let a bit of air out of my (tubless) tyres if I remember but it doesn’t seem to matter either way. Never touched forks or shock and never been asked about them.

The Asgard bike store looks good, but I’d still want it indoors and bolted to the floor and walls!! I know some don’t have a choice, but I just can’t bring myself to leave my bikes outside! They probably aren’t any more secure in my dining room, just makes me feel better!!

Did St Bees to Robon Hood bay last year in 4 days which was pretty tough going, due mainly to navigational issues slowing us down a bit, it’s not exactly a signposted trail centre ride! Even in July it was pretty wet and boggy in places, totally unrideable and a lot of soggy wet footed pushing!

Ours was based around the Woodcock route with some changes to suit us.

At the end of the day you could have better fun spending 4 days at the 7 Staines, but it’s different, it’s the Journey thing. Looking back over the Lakes at the begining of day 3 and thinking you’ve done them in 2 days is awesome, depends what floats your boat really.

I like trail centres, and I like ‘Journeys’, but it can be pretty grim at times and you wonder why your doing it, but at the end it’s a far greater sense of achievment than getting to the end of a marked trail centre route!!

    Obviously not.

I don’t think anywhere flogs the On-one 456 retail so that rules that out. Was considering the Genesis Core, but that’s a bit XC really.

    SDW = XC !!!
