The seal doesn’t fail; what happens is that moist air is able to enter the gap through the tiny holes in the separator; it’s designed like that to deal with changes in atmospheric pressure. Every time the air pressure increases a few molecules of moisture enter then stay and eventually the moisture level reaches the point where condensation begins to appear. The DG unit is then said to have “blown”. It’s inevitable with time.
Wow, this is a new one on me. Have you got a link for this?
pihaFree MemberYes. It was startling that May lost her votes despite him whipping to support it.
Oh wait thats not quite what happened is it?May lost her votes because the ERG headbangers voted against their own leader. As did de Pfeffel and Jaxon Rees Mugg at times.
pihaFree MemberMolgrips
Then you’ve got the issue that Eddie Jones is an unpleasant man and apparently so are half the England team.Wow, that’s quite a statement. Would you like to run through each players unpleasantness, so we know exactly what you are inferring?
pihaFree MemberNo legal issues that I can see but V8ninety is spot on.
Also consider that your offer whilst generous and lovely, might not reflect the young mans own aspirations and expectations. Would you set a time limit? What if he doesn’t get his promised room? Would your neighbours feel the same way about your guest as you do?
I salute your kindness and thoughtfulness but as already stated, homelessness can come with a lot of baggage attached and is often accompanied with complex issues.
pihaFree MemberTrouble with the tactical vote page is that it’s based on the last election and there’s been a whole lot of water under the bridge since then as an arch remainer my tactical voting plan even includes the potential to vote for the brexit party ❎
I get your sentiment.
The biggest threat to the tories will be from TBP. Unless de Pfeffel goes for an ultra hard Brexit, farange and his cabal will mop up many tory seats, just look at the last European elections.
I fear Labour/SNP/Lib Dem’s have shot themselves in the foot with this election. Unless there is something going on behind the scenes between these 3 parties, then I’m thinking we are in big trouble.
pihaFree MemberIf the LD and SNP are playing this straight they are relying on a Labour surge as per 2017 to deliver their stated objective
Not necessarily.
If the SNP & Lib Dems manage to take No Deal away from Blohard before an election, then the tory vote would be diluted at the GE by the Brexit Party. Furthermore, with No Deal removed from any form of tory inspired Brexit, the tories would be split in Government as the ERG and Moggists are desperate for a No Deal Brexit and would probably vote against any softening of Brexit.
So IMO, the SNP & Lib Dems aren’t relying on a Labour surge but gambling on splitting the tory party over Brexit and diluting their vote.
pihaFree MemberLDs would demand a 2nd ref as price of coalition, with Labour
And JC to step aside?
pihaFree MemberOP – are these 2 instances the only examples of you getting overly vexed?
pihaFree MemberCome on England (and Wales for tomorrow)
I am as excited as a small boy at Christmas! Just off to the pub to join up with a group of friends, big fat breakfast and then it will be KO.
Good luck to all and here’s hoping George Kruis comes on and scores the winning try…..
pihaFree MemberAgain, which other politician can you remember who could pull in thousands to public campaign events?
The Peoples Vote campaign have hundreds of thousands of politically motivated people attend each march and the chants of “Where’s Jeremy Corbyn” were ever present. Has Jeremy had 100 000’s attend one of his jamboree’s?
And to be fair to the hateful faarge, he has attracted crowds up and dow the country.
In a single issue GE both the tories and Labour stand to lose a good % of their vote to the BP.
pihaFree MemberCurious what aspects of the game you think Wales have the advantage in?
I’ve already stated where I think Wales will do well and what their strengths are.
Player v player I think Wales probably come up a bit short when compared with S.A. but I believe Wales’ players are greater than the sum of its parts. This is evident in their habit of falling behind (as you point out) and then going on to win (as I point out). I don’t think Wales will romp to victory but I reckon they might just edge S.A.
How do you see the match panning out?
pihaFree Member@ Scotroutes – I fear the BP will do rather well, on the back of a single issue No Deal Brexit Campaign. This will embolden or force de Pfeffel to push his own No Deal or the hardest of Brexits possible.
pihaFree MemberI’m not sure you understand how rugby works!! Giving both teams big head starts and then winning the qf with a late very lucky try was certainly not doung whats needed. Care to poibt out why the bookies see sa as firm favourites whilst you think they will win? What have the bookies missed?
So you agree that Wales won, although I agree, not by an emphatic performance. Thank you for clearing that up, I’d be lost without you!
If I had wanted to follow the bookies opinions, I would have. Instead I gave my thoughts and added quite clearly “IMO” (that means ‘in my opinion’), you even quoted my post.
Anyway, let’s stick to Wales V SA, perhaps we shouldn’t forget that SA have failed to beat Wales in their last 4 meetings…..
Whatever happens, Saturday will be a great day for rugby and good luck to all four teams.
pihaFree MemberSo did they need to concede early tries to France? Did they need to do the same v Fiji?.
In those matches Wales needed to win and that is exactly what they did. Unless you can point out where that failed in their objective then you’ll agree. Surely you understand how the World Cup works?
pihaFree MemberWell, Wales really were beaten by France, they were just lucky enough to have more points at the end.
Wales aren’t the only team to win a match after being behind either! Lots to look forward to, I can’t wait!
pihaFree MemberWell there’s a lot wrong with your post but this is just wrong, they conceded a try.
It is expected that if a player has a 10 minute sit down their team loses around 7 points, so not exactly shipping points as I have pointed out. Wales have done exactly what they have needed to do, and in my opinion will continue to do so. They have form.
pihaFree MemberLike to Anscombe, Faletau and Jenkins?
And that is the point, Wales know how to win with the tools they have and they keep winning. Gareth was injured before the WC, as was Taulupe and Ellis. I’m not saying that Wales wouldn’t be a better team with that trio but with what they have, they play very well and know how to win.
With regards to the France match, Wales didn’t play to their full potential but still got the result. They didn’t ship points when Ross was yellow carded, they didn’t panic when behind and did exactly what they had to. They won.
Wales just need to win their next 2 matches and they are world champions.
pihaFree MemberI’ll have half a pint of what he’s drinking please!
Wales simply know how to win. That is what they are good at and continue to keep winning. Look at their recent matches against England, France & Australia. They’ve even transferred their excellent home form to away games. A superb coach and captain and a team that work incredibly hard for each other. Right balance of experience and youth. Wales have been ranked in the top 3 for quite some time now.
The only negative for Wales is if they sustain injuries.
pihaFree MemberA.B’s looking very strong and as noted above, they have a lot of talent on the bench. It’s disappointing to see George Kruis on the bench, he is a local lad but Lawes has been playing very well. Just need to trust Eddie’s selections. Very difficult to call but i think NZ will edge it. I am really really looking forward to this match.
S.A v Wales is another cracker. I have Wales as favourites and I fully expect Wales to win, with their superior game management and superior fitness.
Wales overall favourites to win the final too, obvs IMO.
pihaFree MemberGet off our collective arses and go and get the things we want.
Stop waiting at home for someone to bring them to us.Surely it is better to display and charge the true cost of delivery rather than remove choice and convenience? Can’t the gig economy work for all those involved, the producers, the consumer and the delivery driver? Sure we might need to pay a bit more but it would be worth it.
pihaFree MemberSimple: elect a political party prepared to put people before corporate profits.
I don’t think it is as straight forward as that. Far too many consumers expect “Free Delivery” without thinking about anything but themselves. How would you suggest that they are convinced they need to vote against their expectations? Surely a better idea is to assess the true cost of delivery, damage to the environment etc and charge accordingly, making all the costs clear to the consumer at the time of purchase.
Cheap fashion clothing is another one. People I talk to never really think about the stupidly tiny cost of their new clothes and where it was made and by whom, the conditions they need to work in to achieve those tiny price tags.
pihaFree MemberIf you have carpet on your home office then it would be advisable to get a chair without rollers. Rollers destroy carpet underlay (and then the carpet itself), therefore you will end up forking out many more dollars for a new carpet and underlay.
An underlay suitable for commercial premises will withstand a chair with rollers much better than ordinary residential underlay.
pihaFree MemberIt is being reported by the BBC that Juncker has ruled out a further extension.
pihaFree MemberIMO the World Cup has been utterly fantastic so far and I’m really looking forward to the quarters. The way I see it;
ENG v AUS
Australia should emerge victorious, Cheika is smart and has the players to carry out his game plan. England are strong and fit but unfortunately struggle when things aren’t going their way. Aus by 9 points.IRE v NZL
I fear for Ireland, they aren’t playing well and NZ are getting into their stride. But if anyone can beat the All Blacks………. NZ by 25 points.WAL v FRA
My strong favourites for the World Cup and this is Wales’ best chance. Wales peaking at the right time with the right players. Great coach and the team know how to win. Wales by 15 points.JPN v RSA
Japan have been inspirational and have a nation behind them. SA are big and strong. If Japan keep hold of the ball then I think they have a good chance but SA will probably prove too strong and dominate in the last quarter of the match. SA by 8 points.Happy to be completely wrong and probably will be!
pihaFree MemberRight handed..I use power tools every day in my job.
Take a look at the Tech sheet that comes with your power tools and check what it says about vibration. Some tools are better than others when it comes to protecting the user against vibration exposure.
pihaFree MemberWhat could he have done (with proof of how it would have worked out) that you, Binners etc,. would have been happy with?
I think that Jeremy should have displayed more clear leadership in the run up to the referendum. Whether it was to Leave or to Remain, then at least people would have known exactly what Jeremy stood for. With a clear position pre-referendum, he could have continued with that position post referendum.
None of the leading Brexiteer politicians have displayed such a confusing stance over what they want or don’t want. They and their supporters know exactly where they stand and this is the type of leadership people appear to want. Even Boris, once he decided he was a Brexiteer has stuck to his guns and made his position crystal clear to his apparently ever growing support.
pihaFree MemberHe is a terrible leader, who , given a chance , would gladly start WW3.
I am no Trump fan but I don’t think you can accuse him of being a warmonger. He has backed down from conflict with Iran, submitted to talks with North Korea, pulled troops from Afghanistan and now deserted the Kurds. Not the actions of someone that wants to start WWIII.
‘Defense’ spending up, as I’m sure it is a vote winner in the USofA.
pihaFree MemberIf Corbyn was serious about stopping brexit he would be working with Jo Swinson not making co operation more difficult. He would rather a tory no deal brexit than work with the Lib Dem’s.
pihaFree MemberSilicone needs to be about 5 or 6mm thick. This allows for expansion and contraction with heat fluctuation and resulting expansion and contraction of the materials the silicone is sealing, if it is thinner it can crack & spilt when the different substances expand and contract. Different materials expand and contract at different rates too and a minimum of 5/6mm bead will help the silicone cope with this.
pihaFree MemberI’m currently decorating my house for the first time in 13 years and I’ve sanded all the walls down to stop this from happening. I’ve sanded right back, checked what’s left with a scraper, 1 coat of stabiliser, 1 coat of white emulsion and then it’s ready for decorating. Lots of effort but the final finish will be great.
Decorating is all about the prep work and when people simply paint over old paint or wallpaper it just hides all the wear and tear, poor quality products and poor workmanship from previous efforts.
pihaFree MemberOnly if the outside kiosk is open. Which it only is in high season at the weekend.
Cheers Convert, I didn’t know that.
pihaFree Member@ Convert – If you sit outside at The Crown & Anchor you have to order from a different menu. Not as good as the ‘inside menu’ IMO.
pihaFree Membermost toothpaste has Sodium lauryl sulfate in it which is a cheap detergent that foams.
In some people( me )it can cause moth ulcers . so i avoid thosePesky moths coming over here with their foreign ulcers!
pihaFree MemberI am a great advocate of bricks & mortar shops when it comes to trying on boots, shoes & the like, but I just give up now. Limited stock, wrong sizes and uninterested staff. I would love to know of a great shop in the south/southeast that isn’t too difficult to get to and ticks most of the size, range, service boxes.
Failing that, I recently bought a pair of Zamberlan’s from Uttings of Norwich. I’m very impressed with the boots and service from Uttings too.
pihaFree MemberThe breakage might be due to thermal stress. Is the window facing the south or west?
I have seen DGU’s shatter when someone has lent a picture frame against the DGU or pushed a sofa up against the window.
