If I remember right ordered on the Friday got it Thursday, so perhaps you will have it tomorrow. It’s just a remote fulfillment warehouse so they will be up and down. Site says 3-5 days to leave them. 👍

Either just walk into any bike shop and get some cages for a few quid, or suck up changing the cups and get a Brand X sealed bearing headset, they are under £20 and use normal bearing sizes so dead easy to change in the future

For anyone interested the V3 frames have just landed in the UK and I will hopefully be getting them online this weekend, but can take orders already.

The old ones did have some issues for sure, hopefully Banshee don’t mind me going into it a bit. Pre 2015 seemed mostly solid, then for MY15 after 1-2 years of riding we saw a decent amount of cracks at the brace weld points. As above – usually only on the shorter travel versions. Combination of them getting pushed a bit harder for lighter tubing and methods of welding. For 17 they introduced the hydroformed top and down tubes, but also invested in new frame jigs to help alignment in production. Pretty sure we got none of these frames back. The V3 frames look amazing, same use of hydroformed tubing to reduce the weld points and really well thought out design. The warranty is also much longer if you register with Banshee :)

    Someone stop me building a 29+ V3 Prime 🤣

Can’t help with your actual question sorry but the gossip monkey in me really wants to know what they are up to

Looks like new orders not available on the top two levels, which likely means a lack of parts as they ARE taking new orders on the base spec. So they have frames.

I have a large green M10 in stock at Pedals in Edinburgh if anyone is looking 🤟

They all look really lovely, I rode a Prime and Phantom back in 2014/15ish. Lots of fun and very fast bikes and the V3s just improve on this it seems.

UK availability has been pretty tight so far but will get a lot better from the end of this month. UK pricing is still being finalized but it’s not £2199 for the DPX2 frames.

I bought a set of eBay ’34s’ to make a tare down video of. Not had the chance to film it yet but even just unboxing you can see the lowers are full of voids/imperfections. That brake post 😭 I wonder what you would see if you scanned them! Anyone want to make a bet to what kind of damper is in there?

You need the width in a press fit shell to make the tyre clearance work with stays that short. When you see how much they have manipulated it to clear the tyre, and how every mm of shell width is used it all makes sense. They are really nice frames, and hit exactly what you want, and there are great BBs available for all cranks. Mostly made by Hope, or Cane Creek if you want really posh.

They could have used an 87mm wide T47, but no one has really heard of them and it would narrow BB choices.

I don’t have any XL Rootdowns in stock but am running a pre-order for shipping “soon”!

Around the fur is an amazing album, shush you.

For me it’s the second Mr Bungle album. First had moments of class, third had lots of good bits. Second was terrible.

Nice, that’s rad. I don’t much fancy breeding myself but like the idea of adoption a bit later down the line 😀 Happy for you

Ohh I meant to also say Shimano make their own dropper lever for ispec EV that fits great, nice lever. I use that a lot with the. OneUp posts as it gives more range of adjustment with the new XT 🤟

Both those levers fit on SRAM MMX mounts, so anything that is an ispec EV to MMX adapter will work. The OneUp lever can be bought as an ispec EV fit, but at the moment it sits the lever quite far under the bar. How much of a pain that is depends on how flat your brake levers are. Shimano changed the lever design between XTR and XT/SLX, they used to have a bigger slot (oooh err).

You could use the same kit to fit a Reverb 1x lever, you can buy them without the one-up remote as spares. Why you would want a Reverb over a OneUp I don’t know 🤣

    I like BikeYokes as well.

Wolftooth and others make nice ispec EV to MMX mounts too.

It’s just the Scout launching today, goes live at 4 but someone pinched all the images off pinkbike.

150/160 Front and 140/150 rear, with a change of shock stroke.

I am most excited by the new manufacturing process and higher grades of carbon, lighter weight and a full lifetime warranty :)

    Lots of really great changes

Secret number 1 is that you don’t need to use anything except water to wash your bike. True story. But if you don’t have a space for a hose or bucket wash then divert to a petrol station and use the jet wash if they have them?

    2019 Transition Patrol Alloy Frame

Patrols are ace, and your Helms would drop right on at 170mm. Even if they aren’t reduced offset (the Patrol is set with 37mm) then it isn’t the end of the world, will still ride great. We have plenty of customers with 42/44mm offset forks having a hoot 🤟

Currently right into playing Boneworks. It’s not porno. Been swithering for years about picking up a headset, then they announced HL Alyx so it had to be done. Oculus quest running the link cable for PC titles, but untethered titles running native on the headset are ace too. Quake 1 conversion is my current pick! Free and fun. Makes up for the £400 headset 🤣 Still not 100% I would have gone for it without the morphine, but really glad I did. Even now the painkillers have worn off.

Just had a watch of that, nice setup they have! Etching and bending Moto bars by the looks of it, and testing MTB bars. Will see if I can find out what they manufacture.

Are those Rust bars made in the UK? I can’t see anything on his site. Seems to do the ano and etching though.

It depends what version of CTD you have really, there are a lot of variations. But to really simplify it the internal pressure charge has either leaked into the oil, out somewhere else, or was never really there to start with. This means there isn’t as much pressure pushing back on the valves so the ‘propedal’ forces are weaker. If it’s a boost valve shock you will actually see the tune number printed on the air can, usually 175-250ish. Higher then number, firmer the lever makes it. Sort of.

Air can service is just lubing the air sleeve, full service is the damper too, so the bit that controls the compression, rebound and lockout.

If you want to see the difference go on the fox site, full service guides are there so you can see inside your shock. Don’t pull it to bits though, as you need a bit of kit to put it back together. Get it off to TF or similar

Far as I am aware the only people making bars in the UK is Hope. Unless you want some welded steel brace things. But that doesn’t matter, because the Hope bars are amazing!

It just needs a full service. The green goo was float fluid, it discolours over time. If you bought it under a year ago it should be covered under warranty

BB shell is the same, it really is needed to get the clearance with the chainstay length, once you see it all makes sense. They use every mm of width!

There are really good solutions for all cranks, certainly wouldn’t let it put you off. They are well sized and honed in Whistler, so the tolerances are spot on. I can’t put any picture details up on here as the shots aren’t ready yet, if you use Instagram or FB pop into our DMs and I can show you the colour and chat about the geo 😁

I seem to remember no fuss had a gravel/MTB event down the Cowel Way so there might be some press or Strava logs a out that.

Isn’t the top bit of loch Lomond on that side the boulder fest bit?

Nice to know someone has seen my sale frames 😀

Most have gone locally, seem to be struggling a bit with online visibility this year! Down to our last two M/L, perfect for me at 5 9. They have changed quite a bit in the last few years, really nice frames. Very well built and a lot of fun to ride.

Also going to be doing a pre order on the 2020 frames that are about three weeks away, £699 on all frames with a deposit down before they ship 🤟 Colours are similar but the blue is lighter, small geo changes.

I use an Xbox 360 controller, bought it years ago so it’s wired. They might still be available and cheap if you can find one. The single best gaming thing I have picked up is a VR headset. Been gaming since the 90s and it has been a revelation. Check out the trailers for boneworks and medal of honour. Well worth £400!

They look great, I think we have two sets in black left. Just used a set on our Guerrilla Gravity demo but it will be a few months before I am allowed to test them.

Much smaller feeling in the flesh, don’t look or feel out of place on trail bikes. Very nice bit of kit

We could have got you a doctahawk a LITTLE bit cheaper, but not much! No way around it they are lovely though. I think there may be an arcturian in my future, just love huge tyres.

We have M/L and XL Rootdowns at £640, clearance 2019 and will be starting the year with some 2020 Rootdowns, back at £750. Can special order anything else Chromag do. Taiwan frames £750, Whistler frames £1500.
