I hope so, but as stated above everything gets denied until it’s nearly here, double edged sword this ‘apple’ instant launch game.

Well it’s not Ragley slack.. good thing we ordered some of those as a comparison :D

I think I compared it to the current TransAM 29 sizing, but could have got my numbers wrong. It was within a few mm, and the TransAM is considered rightly or wrongly to be ‘pretty long’ for that sort of hardtail, as in, not a race whippet.

I reserve judgement until I have ridden it, the FF29 was pretty conservative geo but rode fantastic, and I have never seen one cracked. Ever. I even asked google.

We ordered a couple of frames for my shop and will be building up a demo, so I can find out for myself if it’s rubbish :D

I will admit it can be a bit confusing, Kinesis as a brand name, Maxlight just means it’s a mountain bike (presumably so people can tell if they are looking at a road or CX frame, mountain bikes are pretty obvious) and Decade was a 10yr celebration thing.

Don’t forget Hope are making adapter kits for Pro2 hubs that take them to 148…

Didn’t think it ever covered the rear shock dampers?

Seeing as unless you work at Mojo you are’t supposed to be able to buy seals and spare parts it would be a bit moot anywho.

All the guides for everything else are on the Fox site.

Ohhh! I forgot about these :D I ordered a pair for my shop. My own suspension setup vs their ‘ideal’ setup, see how close we are. Interested to play with and will be offering them for loan around the Edinburgh area.

How much would you pay to borrow one for a week? £20?

We (pedals) up in Edinburgh have a large Scout and medium Smuggler as in-house demo bikes for the year, both built already and taking bookings. Medium Patrol Carbon coming soon as well.

Bit of a trek, but we do have ace trails…

A Bigwig set up with 27.5×3.0 Chronicles..

Yep Scotroutes the mmmbops are the same delivery, they look ace.

I am confused though, £299 is expensive? Not sure I know of much cheaper really. Piglet at £399?

They are well aware of previous quality issues, hence no frames for 2015. New frames, new factory ;) I hope they are bang on because they look ace.

I liked their crazy slackness and price so ordered some. Blue Pig demo bike heading to Edinburgh in November, can’t wait.

Wanted the Bigwig as a demo but got out voted..

Pyga do the same offset rear end thing.

But yes Hope are doing both a true boost hub and kits to convert your old Pro2 to fit boost frames. I would think the Bronsons are coming with real boost hubs.

Slackalice, you CAN get the medium in 650b. As im, RIGHT NOW! They just seem to have forgotten to tell anyone. I can evem sell you one :D

I am using a 2016 Fox DPS. Mainly to match the forks (tart!) and cos it’s wot Lars n Bars has but it is a very good shock. The fact you have three settings in the open position means you can run it with a little more compression but not as much as Monarch ‘trail’is nice. The lockout is a full lockout which in my opinion makes it useless, if you try and ride anything rougher than a smooth road on it the bumping and jarring wastes way more energy and momentum than if you just left it wide open.

My shock is also a stock medium tune vs the light tune on the Monarch, so isn’t really a direct comparison but I like it. Was planning to get it tuned to match but after riding for a while think it’s pretty spot on.

If they have sorted the reliability issues then a Cane Creek Inline would be fantastic if you have the time to tune well, best shock I have ridden by a long way, but it did blow up. Later ones seem fine, mine was from the first batch in the UK.

Don’t forget the Yeti ASrC is coming out in an ‘enduro’ edition that has nothing to do with enduro at all but rather a cheaper layup of carbon (still under 5lb with shock) and a GX based kit for £3299.

Yep that’s us. We only have Medium left @ £399

Pre order price on the 2016 ones is £475 for £100 deposits paid before September 15th.

I have honestly never heard of any of these places, with the exception of McDonalds. In Edinburgh £11 gets you a sit down burger with chips in a beer bar. What a weird place it must be down south

Aye TransAM as above.. what size are you?

    Transition TransAM 27.5

    Aggro, pretty cheap, stealth routing.

2016 full bike is £1500 or I know somewhere selling 2015 frames for £399…

You know if we get a demo it would have to be a medium Doug :D Or perhaps a medium and a large, then one could stay with me to free up space in the shop.

I have seen that Pyga Stage Max and the shorter Stage as well, both look good.

It’s great. Ride some laps of the black skills testers, head off around the loop and play on some features. Keep an eye out for some other cheeky looking trails although we didn’t find the start of these. Fun skinnes/rock thing at the end, and if you don’t like these then wild raspberries and blueberries line the lower chicken route, if in season. Perfect.

    Now Ae… what a heap..

Please don’t refer to them as ISIS bb’s any more, it’s the ‘so called’ ISIS BB.

Anyway Silverfish are ace, we have found that no one really knows when anything is arriving, it’s all made up.

Don’t forget the new 2016 Fox 32s are FIT4, the same damper as on the rave-reviewed 2016 34.

I have 2015 SID RCT3s on my hardtail, and 2016 34s on the other… I want 32s on my hardtail.

If the reach is too low then just go up a size, I am 5ft 9 on a tall day and could ride a large or even an xl if I wanted, but mine is still going to be a medium.

    Full launch is soon :D

It does look good eh! Even lured me away from 29″ wheels… for now. Can’t wait to see if my #enduro times improve :D

I am running 140mm 2016 Fox 34s, feels spot on. Mimics next years slightly higher BB and I run a pretty slammed stem anyway, all feels good.

If anyone is still looking for one we still have one last large Teal frame. Not sure why as if it had arrived two weeks earlier it could have sold 4x over! Its now on the cheap cos we have run out of storage space..

Strawberrys, rhubarb, salad, beetroot, blueberrys all fantastic.

Redcurrents were stopped by ants (!?!) setting up home in the tops of the plants. 75% of the garlic had some kind of rot/fungal infection, courgettes only just starting after a slow start and late fruiting, slugs getting at lots of stuff as usual and my new ‘summer berry’ bushes a huge disapointment.

Their new website will go live over the next few days with everything except the ‘new’ bike, which is being shown at Eurobike I think.

    Still loving it, ace bike.

Not too sure where this drop to 110 rear travel is coming from, all of the information we have states staying at 115.

BB 5mm higher (should be good, I am running 140mm forks to do the same thing)
    Improved tyre clearance
    More progressive shock tune.

    Orange.

Go to the Oasis centre, get pierced, buy some goth boots, then sit in the cafe eating toasties and smoking rollies.

That’s what we used to do anyway.

We have also been out with Ride Sierra Nevada twice before, great setup and fantastic riding. Well worth it and should be nice at that time of year.
They put an enduro on this year taking in a couple of the trails, it was really fun as well.

Stans tape, hold it really tight as you pull the first layer around, but don’t let go of the first bit. You need three hands. Overlap by half or a full wrap depending on your tyre tightness, the tape sticks to itself and the first layer is tight, so works a treat. Easier to remove than a bit of gorrilla tape, but that also works great

I built one up for someone and just thought it was missing, how very strange if they don’t come with one.

£279 must be some kind of full rebuild kit + labour?

If you want to do them yourself then BETD should sell a kit made up of Enduro bearings for about £75. The shop should also be able to sell you this as part of the fitting as well if you don’t want to work on it yourseld

RS Monarch Plus? Full service kits available and all the service guides online.
Very little specialist tooling needed and a nice thing to work on.

DHX just as easy to service except you can’t buy (official) seals or look at a service guide.

We have plenty of medium Scouts and Patrols (both colours on the Patrol, black only on the Scouts), and one large Smuggler.
Ex demo medium Scout being sold next month and ex demo medium Smuggler being sold September. Boom.

    I love my Smuggler :D

    My very short list is:

    Salsa Spearfish Carbon
    Yeti ASR-C (the new one)

Both fill that magic space of light weight but with decent fun geo.

    There aren’t any details. :D

Given people complained about the clearance I WOULD GUESS they have modified it. Transition listen to the people.

They don’t listen to me telling them to make a carbon one though. 5.5lb Smuggler frame, 26lb full build yes please.

    pigyn

As above more clearance for 2016, so should be fine.

I am also running a Trailboss 2.4, great tyre so far. Someone still needs to buy our last large Teal though to make room for the new ones :D
