2017 Pug Partner with drive away awning, Thule Xpress rack carrying two bikes and a Campal boot jump for two.
No problems schlepping around France for 2 weeks on our summer holidays. Split window opens fine but rack needs removed to open the boot. Even able to set up a mozzy net for SW France using two spare tent poles in the interior rack holes.
No pics of the rack in place I’m afraid.

Stratotanker popped up again about 5 minutes ago, now about to cross the Minches. Not seen them so clearly over here before, clearly audible and huge contrails.

Any idea what just flew over East Lothian towards Edinburgh and I assume over Scotland to the atlantic? Big multi engined jet at 20,000ft plus escorted by at least 5 fighters and another smaller multi engined jet?

Used Oliva (pure olive oil soap) for years to good effect. Price is reasonable and easy to get at the likes of Holland and Barrett.

I used to get these until I had a small stroke (caused by small hole in the heart, no lasting damage) and was put on anti-coagulants. Since then no reoccurrence of the ocular migraines. Consultant had noted this had happened to a few of his patients but couldn’t say if it was because the drugs were stopping it or if the migraines were little TIAs.

Sounds like the chronic issue I had last year with the Soleus muscle that sits below the calf and behind the Achilles. Difficult to stretch. Responds well to using a roller, before and after a run. You may want a physio to release the muscle before you train on it again though.

Worth stating I have no problems with it now and can do my half marathon distance pain free.

Same for me too but they are posting stories on Facebook that link back to new content on the website. Maybe someone should tell them.

I have the 2.2 TDCI titanium. Great car. Can chew tyres if the geometry gets knocked out slightly and with the car using run-flats replacements are £200 a corner. Generally seem to get around 15K from tyres though which for such a big car isn’t bad. Economy from the 2.2 is okay on long runs but will be low 30’s around town and for short trips. Family tour of France last year with roof box we got 40mpg. That said our car is the 2008 model and not the newer 2010 models with better economy!

Car is nice to drive and easy to use and live with. I’m looking at changing ours this year for a 2.0 tdci with the newer engine.

I would contact Ford for this as there is a Technical Service Bulletin that applies for this and I believe means it is replaced FOC.

Marionville themselves do kit stuff. How much do you want to spend as most kit stuff is race / competition oriented and therefore more expensive than RTR.

Otherwise in Edinburgh you only really have Wonderland but I think they do even fewer kits.

McDonalds, KFC and PizzaHut all available in the Express Mall. PizzaHut delivery scooters all over town, some of the maddest riders there and that is saying something.

The office I was working in was strictly 9 to 5 as the staff all had taxis prebooked for getting to and from work. Any overtime had to be pre-arranged but they were happy to do it.

All the IT sites are in the IT parks on the outskirts of the cities. The commute was long and scary from my city centre air conditioned hotel……

Just back from 2 weeks in Chennai. Not my favorite place. Chaotic, smelly and not much to do. Poverty is gut wrenching. Not rushing to go back.

For thrill seeking though, head out in the rush hour traffic.

Manflued just now but should point out that there are no trains this weekend because of engineering works, buses instead which probably won’t take bikes!

Currently £215 pa fully comp on an Audi RS2 through RSA as a 44 yo, max no claims, no convictions and a low risk area. I think that's reasonable.

Assume this will not be so much of a problem when the trams are actually running as I'm not sure we want to share roadspace.

    Anyway, tips from Nottingham traams website;

Some tips for cyclists near tram tracks:

    * Only cycle alongside and cross the tracks if it is absolutely necessary
    * Use designated cycle lanes, parallel routes and designated crossing points where available
    * If you do cycle along the tram route, do not cycle on the rails – take care and if it becomes necessary to cross – e.g. on the approach to tram stops – do not cross at a fine angle
    * Always cross tracks as close to 90 degrees as possible
    * Prepare to cross the tracks well in advance
    * Check behind early enough to concentrate solely on crossing the tracks and ensure the manoeuvre is not rushed
    * Make other road users aware of your intentions through appropriate hand signals
    * Dismount and cross on foot if necessary

Doesn't say what to do when swerving to avoid an errant bus………..

Not that I am aware. Princes Street will be shared space with one stop at the bottom of the Mound in the centre of the road……….

Saw another bloke come a cropper this morning too. Buckled his front wheel trying to turn out or the rail and fell off. Luckily no buses behind him.

Think this might become a regular problem.
