My jockey wheels on my zee dont seem to last long at all. Short cage on a 11-36 seems to eat them where the metal cap covering the bush meets the plastic.

Press fit BB’s. Anyone who thinks they’re good has never owned one.

You dont need to paste the BBCode into the IMG dialogue box, just post it into the post text.It puts in the part for you.

Click the photo you want to post, in the bottom right hand corner is an arrow point right. Click that. Links to various places are there, including the link which you can paste into the IMG code.

For example, it will be a shortened link… https://flic.kr/p/qGzJpk

The BBCode works as well, use that to post in a certain size image.

Be nice if they offered a 11-40t on a standard 10spd hub with decent ratios.

Halfords professional 150 piece tool kit. Used and abused it for 10 years, broke some bits, mainly torx and allen keys but Halfords replace no questions asked.

Torq wrench, Gerber and Pedros tyre levers always get used.

I have a Squarespace website, super easy to use with everything I could ask for me. I have a lot of hidden features too, client galleries, hidden galleries, booking forms, contact forms etc..

Their support is 24 hour and incredibly good. The templates are great looking and adjust to whatever platform it is viewed from. Uploading content is easy and so too are the blog entries, they also have apps for it too.

Not many questions regarding the BB that is ONLY compatible with this crankset. 30mm spline sounds like press fit nonsense to me.

I picked up some Helly Hansen merino walking socks at my local Macarthur Glen (Bridgend) last week, 4 pairs for 12 quid. Seem to do the job.

Looking at my next workout it says to do isolated leg training, I use flat pedals on my trainer, any ideas what to do? Just pedal with more attention to the one leg?

No. Too easy. Its difficult to put that little power in. Its only for a short time and for recovery so doesn’t mean anything really.

Its fine on the intervals, feels spot on to me, just trying to spin at 85rpm and <100watts or the 20w bit was hard work in the recovery sections, its not an issue, i’ll keep going on this FTP for a few more then see how i feel like you say.

Felt fine if im honest, ive done a few zone 2 HR sessions over the past few months (not many tho) and this felt like that. At no point did i struggle at all, I do find it very difficult to do the low power outputs tho, spinning with no real effort needed, almost bouncing.

That looks impressive. I’d like to see more specs and features tho, it could replace my TomTom multisport which is starting to annoy me a little.

Thanks for that, good to have some feedback.

Looking at the flow chart it recommends that i do the sweet spot base 1. Is this the best to go for?

I don’t race at any level yet, i mostly ride for fun but want to get faster on gravity type stuff but would also like to get to the top of the mountain quicker and easier. i will probably enter a few gravity enduros and DH races this year.

First FTP done. Dear Lord that was hard work, first interval I pushed too much too often, second one found a rhythm and pushed it out more. Wish I had picked a slightly higher trainer resistance as I was flat out in the biggest gear.

Changed my turbo bike to a road bike which I’ve never ridden before too lol.

I picked a different turbo in the end, from what I can see TR have it wrong, they list two mag force elastogel. One was way out.

Ftp came out at 198. Here’s my session, any comments welcome as I’m not sure what to make of the results, I’ll see what the training goes like at this power. Thanks.

My laptop doesn’t connect to my speed sensor or hrm. Ffs.

No wheel size option on the app.

Yeah I’ve picked my trainer and resistance. It’s way out. I think it’s closer picking the correct resistance level of a slightly different trainer. An Elite Volare Mag Alu instead of an Elite Mag Force Elastogel.

On this setting at 90rpm, resistance 2 of 5 I’m seeing 165w instead of 390w.

I’m going to email them I think.

Something isn’t right in my setup. Just signed up and tried to do the 8 min ftp test. I’m finding it really difficult to hit the power targets, they seem really low. To hit 100 my cadence is about 35!

At a more comfortable 90rpm I can easily hold 500w which clearly isn’t right.

    Setup is:

26″ mtb with tacx turbo tyre (notice there isn’t a wheel diameter setting.)
    Elite volare mag elsatogel turbo
    Bluetooth speed cadence sensor
    Polar gem
    IPhone 6

    Any ideas?
I’m downloading the software to my laptop now to try.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

I run zees with 203mm front and rear icetechs. I’m mental.

    Bigger brakes are better.

And I can take a shit bigger than the weight difference between smaller discs.

If you can modulate brakes nicely you can use any size discs.

Thanks for the info, i’ll keep it going. Totally right on the breathing thing tho, could easily bring it down by concentrating or raise it by doing something else like messing with my phone.

So I tried the zone 2 thing this week, my zone 2 is 120-140, my average was 133 for an hour. I used a gym bike this time, 90rpm, level 2 (2 of 10), so more spinning than grinding.

So I have a few questions, do I stick with this and raise the level and stick to the cadence and have a breather/stop if I go out of the zone or forget cadence and keep trying to raise the level and keep peddling?

If I’m honest I didn’t find it that difficult, I felt alright afterwords.

I’m struggling to know what sort of training to do to be honest.

All the research I’ve done is for racing snakes on road bikes/endurance stuff, i’m after the type of training for going faster for DH.

Most of my runs are showing 90% MHR+ so I cant see how something like zone 2 training for endurance would help. Or am i wrong?

I’m starting to think HIIT is the way to go along with my full body weight training/compound lifts, squats, deadlifts etc..

    Back to your original question.

Ride blade to Marker 81 (start of hokey kokey), which is a bridleway which you takes you down to the fire road over to grenada, you ride back up it on the bridleway on your return.

Or, ride blade fully until hokey kokey/start of joyrider then turn left up the fire road to the start of Grenada. Do skyline loop then back onto blade as normal where you do Hokey Kokey again and carry on to finish on blade.

This is one of my rides when i done what you are asking but rode the old skyline back to the start of Joyrider.

I have a Wanga. Its made up of all the budget bits from the Bokor. Halfords replaced my Bokor when i snapped the chainstay with the Wanga.

Geometry wise its pretty decent, back end felt a bit flexy for me but i’m not the lightest and i rode it pretty hard (probably why the chainstay snapped).

I’m going to be upgrading bits of it to ride more this winter tho.

I just went from a Stumpy Evo to a 2014 Orange Alpine. Both 26er.

Chainstay length was 420 now 436 and wheelbase was 1160 and now 1201.

I am seeing zero negatives with these changes, feels a little more planted/stable in the faster bits but thats about it, the rest of the geometry is near enough the same so I can compare the two. I have no issues in the tight stuff. In fact i preferred it yesterday up BPW on certain runs.
