With the 2010 products and kit being shown off at trade shows, we opted to go for a 2010 themed cover on a brand new bike and kit…"

Thanks Ratadog – iv'e always found the Shimano site a bit clunky too!

My mate had to prize his copy of Zinn back out of my hands( albeit a bit more oily then when he gave it to me) after he lent it to me 😆 it is indeed the book to have. I feel a christams present idea coming on.

That's what I thought Grumm but for the price of a brand new square taper BB (£13)it wasn't worth transferring the old one over from the other frame.

Thanks Kojak, cheers for the pic – certainly is lodsa clearance there! i'm just worried about compromising the chainline too much.

If 110 gives a 47.5mm chainline then how come 113 gives 50mm, surely it should be 49? or it is the spindle a mm longer on the drive side?

Either way, has anybody else had any experience using a 115 or 118 to create a longer chainline?

Cheers guys – thanks for your help.

Ratadog – how tight was the chainstay clearance with 113 and is a square taper BB fairly simple to fit?

    I thought on something like a UN54 a 113mm axle gave a 50mm chainline??

    Now im confused

i'm 6'0" and long legged so was thinking of the 18" frame. By chuckable i suppose i meant more fun or involving, although i ain't gonna be doing full on DH i'd like something which handles steeper sections a little better. The Orange just feels a little bit like riding a rail but was really good to get me back into the sport

Unfortunately not Andy but wish I had – apparently she's meant to be incredible live

avdave2 – I think maybe he's finally realised that without Torres and Gerrard the scousers are basically a mid-table Sunday league side.

They're going to get a right shoe-ing on Sunday. Beach ball pitch invasions or not

becuase Liverpool and their fans are just interested in being able to say "we beat you" to the top teams whereas the top teams see the bigger picture and ultimately really care about the big prize. Incidentally it's the reason why IMO Liverpool have been so succesful in Europe when they've typically been lucky enough to make the final.

Must have been lucky the last 5 times then we won the Euro Cup then? 😯

    Bomb –

    what is your point?

    1. Protesting and the oxygen of publicity is counter productive?
    2. The protestors are all lefty rent a mob types?
    3. He's an elected politician so he should be allowed to air his views?

    What??

Yes Bomb but the problem is that he HAS got a political future. In fact all of the recent publicity has probably won him a few more votes.

Yes but the man is a hateful turd. People have a legitimate right to protest as he does to air his views.

Well said Miketually although i think it does fit in with the broader govt policy of getting people fitter. All this talk of fiddling the scheme though is just daft IMO on an open forum

Aw mate -feel for you. I'll keep an eye out in the second hand shops in Brook Street. I had my Kona stolen about 2 years ago and found it for sale in one of the buy and sell shops down there.

It's got to be Oury Lock Ons for sure. Sticky grippy, comfy and will help if you suffer from numb handitis 🙂
All that stuff about having to have big hands to use em is untrue too, iv'e got long, skinny lady hands and they suit me down to the ground

Cheers GW – Thanks for the advice. can't believe how much less one of these is compared to a E-Thirteen jobby. Even when you take shipping into account.

Hi GW – never thought of it that way. I do tend to use cycle routes and towpaths quite a bit but very rarely use the high end gear combo anyway so that setup may suit my needs well.

It's always nice to save a bit of weight too – would i just sub my 32t ring for a 36t one and fit a bashguard?
I assume i could carry on using my existing mechs for now until i'm ready to swap for something better?

Yes BOS i see you point – i just thought 8 speed stuff was harder to get but if i can still get my hands on some bettr 8 speed gear.
