if you can get a replacement under warranty, wait till it arrives then send it back to CRC for a refund…

did that with a bent saddle recently.

mobile pressure washers aint got that much pressure ime, not compared to ones you chuck a quid in at trail centres, and folk lap them up! ive never worried too much about using them on my bikes, certainly preferable to scraping all that crap out of the car later… just dont fire it directly at the pivots?

has anyone mastered wheelies well into their 30’s or older? when you have never been able to do them properly, and have had the feeling its never going to click…? i can manage 5 or six rotations, but its not controlled and i have not improved on that in ages, having a mental block with it now… be good to know if anyone has overcome this and gone on to (wyn) master it!?

whenever i get in the wifes car her radio is always tuned to Key 103 (local manchester radio) 5 minutes of that and the all is forgiven with the BBC!

she actually chooses to listen to it, and enjoys it, and subjects my kids to it, and they enjoy it too!! i absolutely despair.

im a recent convert to radio 4 in the mornings too… flick between that an five live but as op will be avoiding any cricket nonsense…

i like Evans but he doesnt come on till 06:30 and im at work by then, still very much enjoy Ken Bruce and especially Jeremy Vine if i get chance to listen to their shows, but Steve Wright and Simon Mayo can GTF! Mayo would not be so bad but for his super irritating entourage – and i HATE the confessions!

any drive over about 20 mins im straight into my podcast library tho..

my dad and stepmother who live in a fancy west london apartment block were liberated of all their bikes this week too. they have a secure underground garage you need a fob to open and is supposedly cctv monitored by the concierge. inside the garage there are key-coded bike cages, and the bikes were d-locked to cast in bike stands inside them!! so somehow they manged to get in, open the cage, chop up the bike stand with an angle grinder and help themselves to 3 roadbikes and 3 mtb in one go without being noticed!! madness

i would be happy to show you round on a Monday if its still open? im normally alone and also found the THT’s a bit too quick & frog marching when i joined them once – i prefer just to dick about, session the fun bits rather than clocking milage. However, next week (27th) would be my last chance before xmas, and if its arsing it down im not interested – but i could certainly provide you with a gpx route taking in all the best bits…

Personally would not be too bothered if we lost the Porridge side, but id be gutted if they made the Tunnel Hill bit on the other side of the road out of bounds!! such a fun little spot, perfect for a little lunch hour shred…

btw has that step up gotten about x3 bigger recently!?

in fairness I could not abide dealing with the general public either, but most times ive needed a tradesman he’s come recommended or they are a mutual acquaintance which ime is miles worse! probably because you dont wanna act like a dick with them, and he tells everyone what i’m a mithering t*at i am or whatever…. but whenever ive run out of patience and turned to Yell, the service has been faultless!

i enjoy it, i look forward to a new task ive got lined up, but it inevitably takes miles longer than it should or its a colossal phuckup and i decide to never fettle again – much like boozing

i struggle with snow blindness even in shit light, so its either a helmet with goggles or a wooly hat with shades depending what im doing, off piste adventures v’s cruising with the kids… i dont mind the helmet, i wear it for the same reasons i do on a bike, but its never ever more comfortable than a bobhat!

i posted a crown race i forgot to include in the sale of a frame with a headset; just popped it in a little jiffy envelop with a stamp on, wasnt paying 6 quid recorded for a crown race! never showed up, cant imagine that was very tempting to a tea leaf? but ive now had to fund a new headset and the bloke is two weeks behind on his build…

I have this trouble too, but my garage is single skin blockwork with render on 3 sides, the 4th side (where it gets wet) is built tight up against an old stone wall with maybe 100mm gap…

made a start on The Detectorists via Netflix this week, must admit i was struggling to appreciate what you all see in it at first but towards the end of the first series it has really come into its own, the open day episode was really funny.

looking forward to cracking on with series 2 and 3 now…
