Well I’ve just watched Nial Oxley slay all in his class and register the 4th fastest time by anyone today at farmer johns on his Alu Bronson..

Was impressive against some of the bigger bikes.

I went through this with a Bronson and I couldn’t justify 4k on a bike with poor components. Shop around there are loads of quality bikes about. Look at the Devinci Troy or Dixon

I’ve just ordered a banshee rune, my list was a five, alpine, Bronson and heckler. I looked at the giant but I’m not keen on all the new standards they push. The five and alpine were top of my list but I felt I had to compromise. In the end I stumbled across the rune, brilliant reviews and the spec I wanted for the money. Don’t pigeon hole yourself to just 2 bikes look around as there is a lot of good new bikes.

Banshee Rune.

You don’t need a receipt to exchange goods you only need a proof of purchase and a copy of a bank statement is valid. Go back and get them told. Take a copy of their T&C’s and a copy of the sales of goods act. To really make it complicated they don’t have to exchange anything is you are not the original purchaser hence why gift receipts should be sought.

Quick update on this light.

The light is very floody and it’s like bringing the sun for a ride, which has already been said. I bought the light without a battery due to all the issues so I decides to use the battery I had for my Fluxient u2 and this gave me over 3 hours of medium and high riding and I still had 1 bar left.
If anyone can get these fluxing batteries then I’d recommend them as they definitely give you enough range.

The north face is pish but I could find 4 days of riding in the lakes no problem, infact I would be in heaven.

I have the U2 one and it’s brilliant, its battery is currently powering my solarstorm and this is on the bars with another battery.

houdelegs, it’s a great helmet light, the U2 is a bit spotty but paired with another light it’s great.

I’ve dealt with the new dealers trying to source ABC bushings for the rear of my Altitude. They had only just got the distribution deal so things were a bit slow (due to not knowing all the parts) but the communicationwas pretty good. im looking at replacing my bike in the new year and the new altitude 770 Rally is on my list but, I’m struggling to get a demo ride and not sure if I can get a good enough deal from the shops that have them to steer me away from the alternatives.

All in all the Altitude has been a real do everything bike and if the new one is even half as good as my old one it will be one hell of a bike.
One of the downsides with mine is that the HA is steep but this seems to have been addressed with the ride nine system.

I have an original Altitude and it has done everything, XC races, enduro races, downhill days. Had it 4 years and still going strong.

I was up at windy hill a few months ago and they have dumped double track width demolition debris by the looks of it.

It was guy on the Rivington MTB group, he has posted he is still in hospital but nothing to serious. Over egged a jump he is saying.

I’d try and go through his insurance but I think you may have problems, being private land and they fact he will more or less day you put the bike behind his vehicle, you will probably have a real fight on.

I have ordered just the light head from lighmalls and I have a fluxient battery pack already so I’m happy 🙂

I use an E13 LS1 and it’s brilliant, very quiet but a little fiddly to set up.
