    Grizedale pike below Helvellyn?

There are bridal ways coming off there.

    1 up dollywagons
    1 to patterdale
    1 to grasmere

I’d go up helvellyn from glenridding, down dollywagons and then down the bridalway to patterdale

one of my fave grizedale rides is the following:

    start at Visiotr Center

    Dads
    Grandads
    Dentist
    Breasty Haws to Great Wood
    Devils Gallop

    back to VC

new black section for a play
    lawson park
    riverbed descent

either finish or play on new black section some more.

you can also add Parkamoor to Nibthwaite and the bridal way over to ickenthwaite in that aswell.

you can ride all day in the forest 😀 use the fireroads or bits of the north face to get to the good stuff.

very good, just registered and paired it up with send latlong for the iphone.

if i get in trouble i can instantly text my lat long and a google maps link 😀

the app also gives me the lat long so i can pass that on if i’m on the phone to them.

    good find

The jumps on the b line are not the best, blind hips and of camber landings can make things tricky

yeah there ok, sintered are a bit noisey and i seem to get rubbing with them. put organic on the front and sintered on the bank and the orgnic are silent, so it must be the pad.

you may be right but i never really had an issue on Salisbury Plain. there were fun moments of getting on to chinooks next to main roads.

used to love Otterburn, fond memories of playing in the snow up there, Warcop not so much. but we still met loads of people and not once did it ruin anything, which is my point.

It is lebowski, i always had vision of hikers falling into the trenches we built 😀

what do you think soldiers do when on exercise? 2 weeks out on the plain is enough to drive you mad.

We once set up camp in a disused barn about 1/2 mile from a building site, we drove down at night when they had gone home and stole there porta loos 😀 that cheered me up 😀

I wonder if anyone has stumbled into a training ambush? that would be funny.

Dave, seriously mission secific training bimbling up a road? sounds like a standard platton or section movement. anything specific to missions are done miles away from public right of ways and most training at the moment is done in fibua villages.

I used to be an infantry man, ex QLR, served in Bosnia amd Ireland and belive me a few people milling around causes no issues at all. in fact it used to be funny surprising them.

now if they stumbled on in to a live fire area, well thats a bit different.

I doubt a bloke having a laugh on a bike will ruin there training.

Didn’t Singletrack do I ride guide in te cairngorns not so long ago, I thought that was a Area of outstanding natural beauty? Bit hypocritical don’t you think, also I always though magazines/papers should take a neutral position instead of having a go?

lol great grips and you put the superstar to the inside. once they have worn you can buy replacement cartridges for 4.99, great value in my book.

the athertons are a top 3 collective and they are a great brand, that alone makes them winners. simple really.

i’ve heard Tracey Moseley is almost in semi retirement?
