New Garw valley trails are unrideable at the moment so Afan the same, I’m in the next valley over, we’ve just had fresh snow. Got around 6-8 inches in fields etc.

Gower got a good 6inches of snow today as well.

It’s a fun course normally but I’d probably not drive that far for it myself. Marathon yes, XC no.

Don’t singlespeed the XC race there, you will die….or just end up panting alot! There’s some horrific climbs on the course. Trust me ive tried.

Enduro course is no problem Singlespeed and i actually think its easier on the big drawn out climb on the course.

I found Set2Rise ok on a singlespeed as well if that’s any help.

Unlikey that the rotor is anywhere near as flat as your 160mm. Might be a tiny amount of tolerance but will make a difference.

Not really, common sense tells you that it’s not really possible to do an Enduro on a 4x track with 300 riders at 15 seconds intervals.

Afan Argoed is pretty well known by now.

Bit disapointed that the afan race is on the 4X track. Thats just a 4X race on your own. I was hoping for whites or the wall with timed sections on the go bits. The 4X track isn’t very long at all.
Shame. I feel a bit silly for getting all excited about it now.

Not ridden it for a long time but taking a mate over in the morning, be good to see how it’s changed though. Trail centres will always attract certain types of riders though.

Transwales last year SS, lots of Merida's SS, 24's on gears..

Got my Commencal frame from them and fair play had cracking service. They were on the move and they searched out the frame and got it sent quickly

Would use again and recommend. (I've even kept the box for when the frame breaks….)

Also on last years map, the 80 mile point is a bout 2 miles from my hotel 😕 That's going to hurt!

Badly scuffed or scratched ones can suck dirt into the lower legs increasing seal wear. They will want to put new ones on.

Warranty wise, you won't have any. It's not a new bike and if they've not been service regularly mojo can tell and spot it a mile off.

Bearing wise 18-24mths is about general lifetime on most although I'm sure someone will disagree.
Pulling the out and clean would probably increase lifetime but is a faff.

What bike is it? How old and how much?

Lift the bike lightly by the saddle, should show any play in the bushes. Grabbing hold of the swingarm and trying for side to side movemnet as well.

Hold front brake on and rock bike to check the headset but this will also show play in forks. You may need other person to rock while you lightly feel the fork legs against the sliders for movement.

Check the sliders for any big nicks or scuffing. If there Fox's Mojo will have a party with your credit card to service them.

If it's more than 18 months old and been ridden a fair bit chances are it would need the bearings looked at in the rear.

Grab crank arm and try and pull away from the bike, this will show any BB play. Same with wheels, check for any lateral play or lift and spin them to hear grumbling bearings.

Buy a chain checker as well and measure the chain.

It will have somewhere "specs subject to change"

We use to have it all the time in the shop, they don't have to do anything for you.
