Bump re. The ayup question :-)

Cheers trout :-) don’t worry about the email, its not urgent. Does the beam add to the lib on full when both are pointing in the same direction or does it show only when pointed into the shadows at the side?

Tis what I’m thinking…. but then I have no idea whether the handlebar issue of the light pointing forward when you want to look ahead into a corner would still happen?

Did you get my email about the mini I sent through the contact page on your site troute? Would you say the xpes compliment the lib on full better than xpgs?

Makes sense but how low is low when its filling in (possibly non-existent?) Gaps and shadows in the 2000Lumens light?

It’s in the menu on his website….. short but sweet, teasing almost!

Would a high powered helmet light like the trout mini boost the power of radness up to 3000+ Lumens pointing forward if both were on full? Or would it not make a difference and just get swamped by the more powerful beast?

Yeah I’ve ordered one too…. hoping it magically arrives before my birthday next week, but happy to wait knowing its built with the amount of care and attention to detail the website and trout promises!

Some people have no sense of humour! In the words of my OH:

Smell_it, that’s good to hear, the last time I was in a cmht during a discussion on pay the grade 5s were handling the same as 6s…. says a lot about the manager in that case though! Very happy to Be corrected :-)

it would be selfish to say +1 on

when it’s mental health you’re talking about. Probably even more when it’s criminal psychiatry because that’s something no politician will go near.

mainly because that’s what i’ve ended up working in haha.

    to NickC:

perhaps look at some part time hours as a “support worker” in a social care setting, or volunteering with a charity that works with the group of clients you’re interested in helping…. be warned though, the moment you do any training and become a “professional” the accountability level shoots right up and with that the paperwork does too… much less time spent the the people you started the job to help.

screw the variables and the maths…. we’ve lost sight of:

    TandemJeremy – Member

Realman – bullshit – you obviously cannot use the brakes properly – 20 mph on a gravel trail you can stop in a few metres – 5 or so easily.

    prove it :P

it is more than a psych nurse; who in a CMHT for example would be looking after the same type of clients, same hours and same level of accountability/responsibility.

i see your point BBSB, and i can definitely relate to what your saying, but i also dont think BH9er is wrong when he points out as a starting salary thats better than some other public service positions. after many years of working and experience a psych nurse would be lucky to be on that wage.

    chill people :)

if you want poorly paid then my OH is a great example, the stuff she has to deal with with in her role for the wage she gets is insulting:

currently on a “threat to kill” (or something) list – police taking it seriously as one of the husbands of a woman she supports has made specific threats to kill her, works 50+ hours a week not including the 12 hours+ she’ll spend on the weekends trying to catch up with stuff, in charge of students, training new staff etc etc..

she is responsible for all the high risk clients and at the age of 23 is the most experienced person in her organisation apart from the manager and director due to the stupidly high burn-out rate and staff turn over…. she’s on less than 17k

society really doesnt reward the people who go out fo their way and do crap jobs to help the vulnerable members of society :(

in the “taking the p1ss out of ourselves” initial feeling of the thread i would have almost considered it, but not after all the pics of male models.

he stayed very calm after having a bike thrown at his face…. he must be a psych nurse.

surely its a bit of an unwritten rule that if you have to stop on a trail you pull to the side and get your bike off the track? big overreaction from her… and you cant spell overreaction without ovaries, ‘cos she’s a woman.

hang on, shouldnt she be in a kitchen?

cheers stumpy, i’ll stick to nursing as that kinda maths on a friday morning makes my head hurt!

i’ve got a nearly new bike, brakes in good condition, pads bedded in, know how to use both the front and back brake effectively to stop with or without locking up and skidding depending on how childish i’m feeling… but i weigh about 14 1/2 stone (pure muscle of course  ) and at 20mph if i had to brake suddenly i think i would’ve probably overshot the 5 meters with just reaction time alone!

if it helps i also have a heavy bike, tyres with big tread, 160mm rotor on the back and 185 on the front if anyone’s feeling geeky enough to do more complicated equations.

TJ, i propose that you film yourself riding at 20mph then when someone shouts stop you have to stop within 5 meters, thats the only way i can see this being settled.

either that or we can admit it doesnt matter in the scheme of things and have a cuppa tea and relax, after all its friday 8)

strength = HUGE brain thats barely contained by my already xxl skull, couple this with my body of a chippendale and, well i’m the complete package… on the subject of “packages”….

weakness = some supermodels are too skinny to handle my HUGE manhood, and this means some nights i’ll only end up having sex 46-49 times instead of over 50.

20mph on gravel and stopping in 5 meters….. you’re kidding right? you obviously dont weigh over 14stone TJ!

even if i rode into a wall at 20mph i think i’d travel over 5 meters wrapped in bricks.

*must lose weight and increase braking efficiency before riding with americans*

I dont think there’s anything I could write which would help… I’m so sorry to hear that mate! I hope you’ve got someone to share a drink with there, I know I’d need one.

You’re a hero for acting up as manager in that situation, the nhs needs managers like you! Thought about looking for managers positions in the community, possibly private?

hang your head in shame (providing your definition of “bit of fun” is the same as mine) and confess to him what you’ve done you naughty naughty boy.

if by “bit of fun” you mean you got cluedo out and had a rip-roaring time discovering it was Mr Murderer in the Kill room with the Weapon who did it…. then go for it, you never know, the cards might be different this time!

sometimes i wonder if its not shimano but shoe sizes in general on other makes?

normally in trainers i have to go a size or 2 up, however when i bought some M&s smart black shoes (kinda figure that m&s is going to be more accurate in sizing than the average skate shoes, willing to be corrected of course) it turned out i was a size 10.5.

now for years i’ve been forced into buying size 12 trainers.

bought some Shimano’s this week and the conversion table they use suggest size 46 or something based on my M&S based sizing and they fit perfectly, better than any trainer i’ve bought.

chilli powder, go’s with nearly everything and brings out the flavour in bland foods if used in the smallest amounts. now my OH complains if our sundays roasts dont come with chilli gravy after making it clear she hated spicey things a while ago.

wow, this is much more the response i expected when i posted that very pic a few weeks ago, instead i got “she looks like she’d be ugly” “too skinny” “she looks 14” and such!
