boots go for a new pair, board and bindings second/3rd hand you can get some VERY good bargains on boards that people bought and only used for a week before realising they’re not cut out for it. take someone who boards with you when buying to check them for any signs of cracks or damage that isnt cosmetic.

boards know your weight and shoe size…. height isnt really their concern…. if you’ve got over size 11 feet then go for a wide, if size 10 or under then a normal width board should be fine. with your weight i’d say 159-161cm as a board length.

mrs consequence tends to swear at the track/woods/mud/general surroundings a lot as she tries to ride through the pain barrier…. i advise letting your kids ride with the fast people if you want to protect their innocence…

in the interest of their innocence i recommend keeping yeti back in a medium group :lol:

as this groups getting bigger and bigger, i’m looking for volunteers to lead a group towards the labyrinth and safely back using sexy singletrack, and people happy to chill at the back of their group and act as a sweeper :)

also, anybody with OS or gps maps showing routes/singletrack that might help me hash together a rough route so we all end up in the same places in order to laugh at northeners and the poor (as we do), i’d really appreciate it if you could send me an email :)

Well i rode down to swinley for a quick blast on the good stuff today and its beautiful! really dry, and anything that used to be muddy is solid. the remaining puddles are frozen over enough to ride on too :D

i’d recommend layering up the socks though people!
