Just emailed the organiser to see if there are any spaces left, if so I think I’ll sign up, I did the ard rock a couple of months ago and loved it so I’m well up for this! I’ve not been on the bike for a month due to working away so it’ll definitely just be for a laugh!

Shameless plug but… I work all over the UK and have been fitting kitchens and bathrooms for 16 years, I can send you over some photos of our work if you’d like? We do everything from basic stuff to completely handmade furniture.

I just don’t think they’re all that grippy and sometimes a little sketchy, I’m running them tubeless and at reasonably low pressures, around 23psi on the front and 26psi on the back, plus the fact that the knobbles are starting to break off?? I just think that at £50 per end they’re a little lacking.

I did the Pro Ride guides course up at Stainburn with Joe Rafferty, definitely worth the money, learnt a great deal from it, you can tell they’re enduro racers and it shows in their coaching although that’s not to say they don’t teach jumping, just that the fastest and smoothest way often means flattening the jump. I definitely feel I came away a more competent rider. Also watching them ride sections at slow motion speed to let you see exactly what’s happening then re riding it at full race speed is jaw dropping! Plus a lot of people don’t realise that the Pro Ride guides actually train other skills coaches!

Totally agree with covertbaz, If Yorkshire based then definitely have a look at ProRide Guides, they teach at Stainburn and Hamsterly, they coach anyone from beginners to Racers as well as being Pro Enduro racers themselves!

How bad is the weather likely to be late September around Torridon?

Not sure about all the love for HDs , they’re not bad but I wouldn’t say they’re anything extraordinary, and the fact that the knobs are breaking of left right and centre after 4 months is a bit rubbish too!

I’m gonna go for a DHF and HR2 on the back next time round.

They look awesome, but after reading up on the back story I will definitely need to here some positive reviews before I spend my hard earned on one , I’ll be keeping my eye on them though!

In my opinion some people are just plain evil, rehabilitation won’t work because that is who they are, luckily the amount of people like this is minimal but I definitely think we should have the ability to keep everyone else safe by locking them up.

My first enduro, it won’t be my last! Absolutely loved it, even the wind! Riding to stage 3 I had the bike banked to 45 degrees just to go in a straight line! That was tough lol

I’ve just insured mine, I added to the contents insurance that we have with Bradford & Bingley, 3k equates to £4 a month increase, my bike is covered as long as it’s locked up ie. behind a locked door and this includes the garden shed.

What happens is your self employed and fully booked up, no one else can do my job and I could end up losing a lot of earnings? They won’t cover loss earnings will they?

I was originally going to do the sportive but Joe (rafferty) persuaded me to enter the Enduro. I’ll probably end up coming in last lol. I had a recce ride around the area, it’s gonna be tough! Not sure if dual plys are necessary.
