The tandem guy was Guy Kesteven, it’s a nicolai I think , the kid must have a bit of bottle!

I found it difficult compared to last year but then I haven’t been riding for the 3 months up to race day, I still didn’t do to bad considering, I’ll definitely be back next year and I’ll definitely be putting the training in for then!

I did it last year and I’m doing it again this year with my brother, i’ll only be getting back from Vegas on the saurday morning and heading straight up, I’ll be on a bright green Nicolai, not sure if I’m camping or staying in a b&b as my other half is also coming to spectate.

I used to build SPL cars and the best sound deadening material is Accumat, Dynamat is a poor imitation. Have a look at K&M acoustics in Wigan. They know how to make things vv loud or vv quiet. Anyone who witnessed their transit with 12 15″ Cerwin Vega XLs and original HiFonics gen X amps will know!

If the big manufacturers didn’t charge the ridiculous prices they do for these items then fakes would no longer have a place. I know that it costs a fraction more to make something safe and decent quality but £35-40 for pissing phone charger is extracting the michael!

I might be on for Rivi on monday night, depending on how my back holds up, I may bail out mid ride though depending on pain levels!

A mate of mine who happens to be a coded welder and fabricator had a look at the new frame over the weekend and said he thought the quality of the welds was excellent (he used more technical terms than that but i can’t remember them). Given the projects he works on, I’m more inclined to take his word for it . 🙂

I did the enduro last year and im doing it again this year, its definitely tough, but in a good way, best thing to do would be head up there and go for a ride before hand, Fremington Edge is probably the toughest part but it was early on last year so wasnt too bad, i would imagine that it wood be on the route this year as its legendary.
I’ll be heading up at some point in June if you fancy a ride out?

Bike set up wise, tough tyres, tubeless, stans liquid, because as the name suggests, there is lots of rock, and if you can train in extremely windy conditions that’ll be a bonus! 😆

I absolutely despise these companies, someone crashed into me 3 years ago and I still get around 3 calls a week off them, one in particular repeatedly rings even though I tell them each time that im not interested,

There are a LOT of Pikes out there. Most threads I’ve seen are people questioning the top out knock which is due to the small coil spring to initiate the negative stroke – you only notice it when you lift the front of the bike up, not when you’re riding it. Not a fault, just a side effect of what makes the small bump sensitivity so good.

Thats a very good point and glad its not a fault!
