Use Medite rather than mdf, it’s like moisture resistant mdf, but the main benefit for me is that it has a much denser “grain”, because of this, it furs up a lot less when being machined/moulded.
To seal edges and get a great finish simply paint edges with pva glue and sand smooth once dry.

Awesome weekend slightly tarnished by competitors that were an absolute shower of shite on Saturday. Bikes left all over the trails, people pushing up trails with no thought for riders coming down and people standing in massive groups on the fireroad crossing between the tape. Disgusting behaviour, some of it in my eyes should have been a DQ. No thought for anyone but themselves. Idiots

My brother came up with me to spectate , one thing he did mention was at the bottom of first fire road crossing on stage 2, there were apparently quite a few “local” riders taking a short cut, the lady marshalling knew and turned a blind eye to it.

Had a great day, Stage 1&2 where interesting to say the least! But I really enjoyed the whole loop, as expected my fitness was the real setback, I’ll be back next year though and firing on all cylinders!

I’ll try and get to this, depending on the state of my legs after racing over the weekend!

I was never a fan of the HDs, I’ve been using the Front tyre the Crossmax wheels came , its pretty good but it clogs up pretty bad if its muddy which is a bit of a worry for the weekend.

I suppose it is just guess work at the moment..

Nothing even comes close to the Kapex, if you can afford/warrant Festool then go for it, I’ve been using their gear daily for over twelve years and its never missed a beat. with the exception of the drywall sander and Domino XL, i think i have pretty much everything they do. It is expensive but you get what you pay for!
