Not going for new as they’re best part of 30k and shopping around I can pick up a used 2011 low mileage for about 23k, as for being nicked, It’ll have an immobiliser/alarm and me toting a machete sleeping light 😉

Ive been using both for around 15 years and I can tell you for definite that paslodes are great until they act up, which inevitably they will, on the other hand a compressor and nail gun are bullet proof!

    A couple of notes though-

    1. With a paslode you will need to warm the gas can up in cold weather otherwise it won’t fire! (put it in your pocket for 5 mins)
    2. Always drain the cylinder on your compressor to release the pressure but also to release any water that builds up (can rust the inside of the tank which could in time weaken it!)
    3. Always Always Always WEAR EYE PROTECTION!!!

Hi, I’m hopefully gonna be getting one in the next few weeks! The main differences are a slacker head and seat angle and longer travel, making it more suited to the downs than ups!

I had a go with the am and an sx back to back and and although the sx has longer travel/heavier fork and is probably more than you would ever “need” in blighty it just seemed much more fun to ride and seemed to pop off things more! Granted I’m definitely no expert but that’s what I found!

I had taken notice of the kinds of things and jewellery that my girlfriend liked and based my choice on that, I planned popping the big question on I tiny secluded beach down in Cornwall while we holiday’d down there! I did a recce mission with my mate a month before, learnt the tide tables so we wouldnt get washed away and then sorted out a champagne picnic! On the day my mate set off from Manchester and got to the beach and set everything up including changing into formal wear (maitre d)! When we turned up she had no idea and was completely blown away. I actually proposed with a haribo ring ( her favourite) then gave her the proper ring after.

It was one of the most stressful things I’ve ever done, but I felt super smooth when it came together!

She said yes by the way!

Integrated miele start around £700 these days, as for indesit, they used to be good, as a kid i remember my mum had an indesit for about 15 years used daily (family of five!), unfortunatley nowadays they are built down to a price and dont last five minutes generally!

I fit kitchens for a living ranging from £5000 – £150,000 so I get to see and install a good spread of appliances, the only ones I would use are –

Miele, expensive but with a service life of 20-30 years so an investment really, the best you can buy.
Siemens, cheaper but still very good
Bosch, cheaper still and still good

Basically avoid anything under £400, they are built down to a price and will not last more than a couple of years at best!

I use global, they stay razor sharp and are comfortable/well balanced, if you want something really special have a look on Rutlands website, theyre a high end tool shop but they also sell some really high quality knives, all the way upto £450 a pop! Although they are hand made!
