You can get a rear extension for the speedrocker if you need one.

And mini LD got shouted and sworn at for running past someone through the unrideable bit. He and I were a bit perplexed by this!

    That’s bang out of order🙁
    The swearing not the running.
Apart from that section I had a great time sliding about in the filth.

The new section down from the bike park on stage 3 or 4 is going to be “fun” in the wet 😁
    Freshly cut last weekend.

Unless perhaps the delivery driver has prostrate issues

Well if he does it’ll be easier to examine his prostate😀

From my experience of Russian ciggies in the early 90’s rough would be a more accurate description.
    They were ridiculously cheap though.

Put them on top of your toes rather than underneath, they get warmer that way.

I run spds so overshoes fit OK.
I’ve never found a flat pedal shoe that doesn’t act like a sponge in the wet.
My partner in pairs ran hiking boots and full gaiters at the second puffer.

Having been highsided twice on the same lap after being overtaken by my back wheel on the descents (I was being lazy and only fitted a front spike😄) I’d reconsider riding without spikes if it’s icy.

Never felt the need for them but I run hot (except my feet)
Keeping my feet warm is more of a challenge, antiperspirant, thin merino socks, winter hiking socks, disposable foot warmers, shimano mw5s & neoprene over shoes bo the job for me.
Keeping warm is relatively easy if it’s dry & cold. It’s more of a challenge if it’s wet and cold.
Try and find some ice spikers!

If it works I wouldn’t bother putting in a new one.
The new owners will likely change it anyway.

Accept the fact that at some point early in the SPD experience you will keel over at a set of traffic lights still clipped in.
This may happen more than once.

Putting your hands on someone’s car is not going to de-escalate the situation, especially when they are already wound up.

I did an introduction to mig & tig course at the local college.
Really enjoyed it and got to play with the expensive college toys. They were so much better than the gasless mig I was given by a mate who’d bought a cheap one to self learn and had given up.

We pay someone £5 a every 2 weeks to clean ours as I really can’t be arsed to do it myself.

self cleaning glass is a load of waffle

We’ve got self cleaning glass in a glass curtain wall at work, its shite!
It’s main method of self cleaning seems to be for random panes to shatter at odd intervals.

It’s also a pain in the hole trying to return stuff if you get it posted from Carparts4Less

    That shower of ****!
They sent me the wrong part (Lhs wing mirror in an rhs box)
I told them & sent it back and asked for the right one.
They waited for it to arrive, put it back on the shelf then sent it back to me.
    I sent it back again.

I sent it back and bought one somewhere else.

Looking at the photo the front end of the bike has parted company from the main triangle at the head tube and this has gone through the windscreen bars first.
The rest of the bike is probably further down the road somewhere.

However this happened, this is the reason I choose to drive a van and the bike goes inside.

Don’t forget to swap over the brass plunger in the lever blade that indexes the reach adjuster screw & you’ll need to swap the reach adjuster screw over too.

Also very excited about possibilty of Macavalanche starting at top of goose chair all the way to the bottom of gondola via DH track. Wouldn’t want to do it but would be some spectacle

I’ve got a carried forward entry from 2020 so I guess I’ll find out next year, Covid permitting.

Funily enough I had the same thought – just ordered 2 of these yesterday

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/402943960108

I tried one of those syringes.
The dot 5.1 fluid dissolved the plunger and filled the fluid with white stringy guck☹

I had planned on reusing a pair of hope pro2 hubs on WTB rims.
Might have to have a rethink.

Ditch the sintered pads for organic/semi-metalic. I find anything else makes horrible noises on longer descents.
If the levers are pulling to the bar at the bottom of the descent (i.e. Once the brakes heat up) but ok at the top or before you set off it could be the piston seals in the master cylinder need replacing.

Failure to provide driver details is an offence under the Road traffic act 1988.Link
If it were me I’d report it to the police and let my insurance company sort out the mess.
The fact that the driver wants your mum to say the driver was the husband suggests that she’s not insured.
Yes your mum’s premiums may go up but does she really want to get in the middle of insurance fraud?

Do we just have to wait for the thing to figure out how to use its wings and fly out?

    Pretty much.
You can’t do much to them as they’re a protected species. So cooking it is out!
