I had an HT1 which cracked on a weld at the bottom bracket, A DH/XC which cracked a weld somewhere, a dual frame which has a suspicious crack in the paint at the head tube and a DH3 which I snapped.
This was from '97 to '04/05

Erm, I'd look for something else.

If you go here Neoguard you should be able to work out how to make one & avoid coughing up 15 quid for a bit of neoprene & some double sided velcro.

You'll need to replace the brass washer in the lever body.
Part no. 10 in this link.
    http://www.hopetech.com/database/lever-pro-closed.jpg
The washer is designed to deform in a crash allowing the lever to pop out. You night be able to fix it by squeezing if back to flat in a vice but last time I tried that it just split.

They look like old bulb hubs (99 or earlier). If they are you can convert them to 20mm.
20mm kits for the old bulbs may be hard to find, I had the last one crc had in stock.

Saw Iain Macintosh remove the headtube from a morewood at an SDA race at Alvie several years ago.
He popped off a drop at pace and it all went horribly wrong.

I tried running 130 magura menjas on my inbred & it was horrid.
Then put fox talas (off another bike) wound down to 100mm on it & it felt much better.

My No.3 C2 calliper wouldn't fit. Ended up using a +20 adaptor and went up a disc size to 185mm (mind you the hope +20 adaptor needed some filing to get it to fit).

It might be worth greasing the pivot of the salsa QR every so often.
I ran mine dry and actioning the QR bent the bolt over time. The seat post then started to slip.
Regular greasing of the pivot & everything is fine.
(I do tend to do QRs up tight though)

As far as I know nobody has had a footwear related injury recently.
It seems to have been a unilateral decision on his part, even the health & safety coordinator doesn’t understand why this memo has come about.

I agree that flip flops are a bit of a no go because they can fall off easily.

    It applies to everyone.

I think I’ll try and borrow some flippers off a mate who goes diving. See what he thinks of that when I’m next in work :D

Anyway enough of work I’m off down the pub.

    I like thegreatapes option.

Unfortunately or HR manager is the sort of humorless buffoon (I would call him a front bottom but at least they have a use) he’d probably try a disciplinary if it was ignored.

    a) Always on the road bike & DH bike. Sometimes when riding XC
    b) It steams up/ I forget to put it back on after a climb
    c) Yes a bumble bee. It hurt, a lot.
    d) 50/50

If I could find a pair that wont steam up on the climbs then I’d wear them all the time but I’ve yet to find any that don’t fog up.

    Nutella works in standard traps.
I’ve removed about half a dozen corpses from my loft.
Looks like they’ve moved out now the warmer weather is here.
