I’ve wondered what this means before, and i think it means that Police follow the van by GPS tracker, in the event that it’s stolen/hijacked etc?

Bought a SSX2 from lightmalls on the 30th Sept, it arrived yesterday.

Lightmalls appear to sell a few different variations and some at slightly different prices. The one I chose was the more expensive of the bunch and the pics showed what appears to be a genuine unit when comparing the the link that was supplied earlier in the thread.
When I opened it there was no rigianl packaging and the screw heads were phillips style. The beveling looks ok, graphics match too. Took it out for a ride earlier and its bright and works well. Havev’t had the courage to charge it yet as i took the charger part to see what it’s like and its pretty basic.
It was £18.45 inc delivery, so you pays your money etc…

Its a fake, no doubt, i’m just considering whether to contact lightmalls for a refund as the unit doesnt match the one in the pics? Any suggestions?

The original Twrch trail would be a better shout over the newer Cafall trail if it is wet. There are a few sections on cafall that are more natural hand cut trails through the woods that get a bit muddy.

If you can smell it, then you have basically just taken drugs and broken the law. It’s a one way trip to smack and heroin from here.

Only you know the real answer to your question i’d say. If youre ok and your bike and gear is ok then its up to you what to do from here.

Of course people on here will probably goad you into a pitchfork scenario.

Glad to hear youre ok though, could have been much different.

I’ll have a van with me, and will probably end up either sleeping in the van with the bike, with a destroyed tent outside or in a partially erected tent with the bike in the van.

W2 is my favourite ride at Afan and certainly one of the more weather-proof trails in South Wales. Y Wal runs better in the wet.

Love the descent on both Y Wal and Whites. Which was will you ride? Ywal incline first or Whites?

With a stop for coffee and cake half way round it normally takes up 4-5 hours for me. I dont rush the ascents but like to blast the descents.

I went with the new version from the link I provided in the original post (top link). Much better quality than the original one supplied from new. Sturdy and easy to tighten up.

I had an unspecified/mystery infection which turned bad and caused a torn retina. Similar procedure to fix but a bit more complex in that i had to have reconstructive surgery to the damaged area too. The recovery time wasnt great for me. 2 Operations, first one took me out completely for nearly a month ( 2 weeks in bed unable to move, having to reposition to allow silicone and gas in eye to attach retina properly) and 2 weeks of recovery after. 12 month of silicone in eye then 2nd operation and 2 weeks recovery time. The 12 months in between operations my eye was ok, getting better towards the end.

You’ll probably have 2 operations with 2 weeks bed time following first then 6 – 12 months of silicone and gas in eye, depending on state of retina. 2nd operation maybe 2 weeks recovery too.

So does that mean the delivery costs which are added on the USA site dont count in this country? That price was for international delivery to this country. I understand that there may be taxes involved. Probably looking around 20% at a guess? Ah yes, now i remember. Parcelforce then add a £10 admin cost to the tax charge. Bastards.

Thanks for the link. It’s these im after,

    http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/problem-solvers-mismatch-adapters-sram-shifters-to-shimano-i-spec-b-levers-pair-prod34301/

For I-Spec B brakes to SRAM shifters. However, £42.99 from the link above. I had a search and found a shop in USA for $56 (£33ish) which includes delivery

    http://www.aebike.com/Problem-Solvers-MisMatch-Adaptor-11-Fits-Shimano-I-Spec-B-Brake-levers-to-SRAM-MatchMaker-Shifters_p_70442.html

Seems crazy that for 10 quid less you can get them sent from USA! Im currently debating the risk.

Today is a pretty historical day all over. Surely for those of you who might not wish to remember the 100 years since we declared war on Germany you could instead chose to remember the program Highway to Heaven which aired for the last time this day on 1989? Or, who could not find the passion to remember the poor seagull whom New York Yankee outfielder Dave Winfield killed during warm up for a game in 1983? Some people are heartless bastards.

I’ll be lighting a candle tonight.

Does the report take into account the amount of CO2 created when vegetarians and vegans go f*****g on about themselves being vegetarian or vegan?

Sambalaws, prob best not to say on here, let’s just say a UKAS accreited lab based on the SW.

Wrightyson, sometimes it much more cost effetive and quicker to screed over, or encapsulate the bitumen and then leave it in situ, it’s very low risk and more hassle than its worth to get rid of. You will also find that the whole negative pressure and sealed buidling won’t apply to this product as works can be carried out under semi controlled conditions.

Your r&d survey report should have a section which classifies the ACM on the basis of what the asbestos type is, and what should be done ie remove or manage and whether it’s a licensable product. What is the product type in this flooring? When you say pitch flooring do you mean a wooden flooring? Is it therefore the bitumen adhesive below that’s asbestos?
I’m an asbestos analyst and surveyor so cab give you some qualified advice.

I read somewhere that Jimmy Saville and Rolf Harris started off just smoking weed. Just think, If someone would have reported them back when that all started, maybe they wouldn’t have made all those shit TV programmes?

    Do the right thing.

There is a access along the river from St Anne’s through Avon Valley Woods right along to Willsbridge/Bitton where its quite easy to get on the cycle path at Bitton Railway. The path is technically a footpath between Checkers and Willsbridge and there are gates to negotiate. The surface wouldn’t be ideal for a commuter with panniers though. Quite bumpy and very muddy in wet weather. You could in theory put in a loop running one way right along the cycle path into bath then back through the kelston route mentioned above, on to Bitton then along the river right back into Bristol centre via the Feeder Canal.

Afan is a great venue, loads of trails to choose from and with the bike park also some different stuff to play around on.

I did a trip last year, 2 days at Afan, one at llandegla and one at CyB. Trying to get away again this year, prob September and would like to do bpw, penmachno, llandegla, cyb and antur stiniog.

Maybe try and do an alps trip next year!

Im 5’10 and ride a medium stumpy evo (similar geometry to Enduro) and to be honest, its probably a little on the small side. I would like to try a large frame to see the difference. I’ve heard from others that the Stumpy and Enduro both are a little small in sizing so probs best to go larger.

Thanks for the replies, some good information here to talk over with my wife.

I’m sure that we probably are being a little paranoid, but when family financies are at stake, it’s hard not to.

I’m looking into taking a holiday myself, but being last minute it could be an issue for me. I’m also aware that with a management position must come some flexibility but also there must be some understanding that my wife also has responsibilities as a mother. Arranging chilcare with a person who we have never yet met, with just a few days notice is not really what I would want to do.

This won’t be a problem in a months time when the nursery she is enrolled in actually opens as we could swap days easily.

There is a pretty large greasy spoon cafe at the top of Leith walk, near the theatre which does good brekkies. Not sure what time they open until.

My tip is always keep nuts and dried fruit around. I did the cutting out of bread, pasta, potato and rice and found when i got sugar cravings if i ate some cashews and dried fruit like apricot and mango then i felt pretty satisfied.

    Cheers for the replies.

The energy drink I use says is also has electrolytes in it, so this shouldnt be the issue I dont think.

Yesterdays ride, just over 30km, took about 2 1/2 hours moving time, and I drank just under 2 1/2 litres liquid. I have always drank a fair amount of water.

It could be my position and i’ll look to work on this, but I have a couple of bikes, and recently changed full bikes too and have cramp on all of them.

Thanks for the link Jonba, I had come across it on my search for possible cures. It basically says that fluid and water/electrlyte intake are only part of the answer but fitness and pushing beyond your limits are probably the main reason. Im guessing it’s down to fitness in general as I really only get a chance to ride fortnightly, with the ocassional evening ride of around 10km here and there.

    regards
    Pete
