well unlike a lot of comments on here , I have one. a 2.3 x drive, is it exciting errr ? well its ok, does everything a BMW should do. Its not quite as big as you think, and maybe not as practical as an estate. Mine goes very well and is economical. As for pictures of the tyres….. Could be tracking, from experience the design of the BMW track rods can make tracking adjustment very difficult as the ends seize which means adjustment is not possible and the end and the arms need to be replaced (had mine done at a cost of £250). On the tyres , i is worth while remembering that the car is sensitive to tyre choice ( should be runflats) and the choices are limited and consequently a bit more expensive. Is it a young mans car? cant comment as I am no longer young.

dont know about the fronts but for the rears check the axle bolts, mine were a bit loose, juts enough for the wheel to move on the axle

DMR v8’s with terrapins and 5 10’s work a treat. The v8’s seek indestructible, although i have the unpainted one’s as the coloured ones look naff when the paint wears.

I have a Stumpy carbon. Had the Praxxis convertor and it creaked. Went over to an FSA frame insert and standard hollowtech BB works perfectly, no problems in over 10 months. I also use a 2×10 set up with no issues.

I would go for Riva, its a decent size without being big. Lots of restaurants and walks nearby. If you have a car i would recommend a drive up the mountains to Tenno and Canale . For a restaurant if you want to splash out Castel Toblino about 25 minutes in land from Riva is a stunning location and the food is excellent.

You have to bed brake pads in. Basically you pedal around and pull each brake for at least 10 times so they are almost at the point of stopping. they usually settle in then. To stop them from rubbing or to centre them, undo the caliper fixing bolts then squeeze the brake lever and hold it there will you do the caliper bolts up again.

you can get something called Elbow Grease from the factory shop or the CooP, brilliant stuff for those type of things. Spray on let it soak then put it in the washing machine.

1 for looking at an alternative to citalopran. I had similar issues with it and went on to fluoxetine, got the result I needed.Best of luck with everything, you and yours have been through it and you are still standing that shows strength.

I saw Steve perform way after the height of his fame at a pub in the Old Kent Road. He was swigging brandy all through the set, so was a bit worse for wear , but his singing and playing were amazing . Stunning voice, listen to ‘Black Coffee’ if you can.

i had the 1.8 turbo mg version. Lovely car, a bit different , handled well and was quite economical. The K series engine is good but the head gasket ( if not already done) WILL need to be done at around the 30k mark. Relatively easy job for a competent diyer and the parts are not too expensive. Agree with the comments on the price, £4k seems very high. I paid £1800 for mine on 35k miles( 53 plate), immaculate and the head gasket had been changed.

i had this on my renault espace 1.9 turbo. No fault codes showed, but I suspected the egr. cheapest way to check is buy an egr blanking plate (around £4 on ebay). Its a simple fit, if the problem goes away leave it on, if it doesn’t then it was something else and you can leave it on anyway. In my experience the engines run better without the egr.

Anything to do with mountain biking. ‘trail builders gloves’ £30 that look like riggers gloves for£5. Trail building tool ( reviewed in one of the mags) listed at £75 similar to a £14 mattock . mental prices for shorts especially when the are over £90 and when reviewed the reviewers find faults. I use Aldi shorts which work for me ( cost £6) and decathlon ( £14) are the name brands 10 x better? Plus 1 for brake pads ( the branded ones eg Shimano or Avid) and finally brake fluid !

I had my moan a couple of days ago sent them a mail and got a polite response with an apology and a suggested resolution. they have certainly worked hard to resolve the issue. fair to say based on how they have handled the situation I would heartily recommend them to anyone. Things go wrong and often the mark of good service is how the company handles the issue-full marks top Planet X

i ordered a set of forks in the sale and paid for them last saturday. on monday i called them as the order was not showing on my Planet X account and they said that the forks had been allocated to me and would be shipped that day.on thursday i called again as the account status had not changed and was told the same thing. On Saturday I get an email confirming the order being shipped-minutes later an email cancelling the order as they were out of stock? wtf

I run a 2×9 front ( SLX) with a 3 x9 front mech and shifter with a 10 speed cassette and shifter and 10 speed chain the latter is required as the 10 speed cogs are closer together. I also run an slx clutch mech absolutely brilliant no noise and no chain loss.
