I went from small engineering consultancy working, to larger consultancy, back to small and now have my own small consultancy and love the freedom that provides.

I much prefer working as part of a small team. Nowhere to hide, less politics and corporate bullshit, more opportunity to be yourself and carve your own path, but more expectation to work harder and outside of your 9-5/less conventionally.

I guess it very much depends on your personality, passion and ambitions as to what kind of environment you prefer?

    Thanks all.

Fitness wise currently more Pedalhounds than Ard Rock. Failed to finish Ard Moors this year. Skills wise… just getting back into riding the Radlands and Punchbowl steeps, slowly but surely and not hitting any big features.

Garmin Fenix 5S here. I love it. It’s been great for both hiking and biking. Went for the small screen as I’ve a horrible habit of crashing and the smaller screen seems less likely to suffer damage than I am…

I work in the industry and Greywater recycling is usually one of the first items to be ‘value engineered’ out on projects. Of course there are green credentials, but money is usually more wisely invested elsewhere.

I worked on an interesting project many years back where we were looking at using urine from urinals to provide nutrients for a green wall… we dubbed this ‘peeponics’!
