Love my 2011 E class estate. I would have another one, excellent load carrying. Very quiet at speed. A bit harsh over potholes (just drive around them) Reading the Merc forums a lot of people have issues with the main dealers, I use a Merc Indy for all servicing, much cheaper and better service.

I bought a Creality CR10S a few months before the first lockdown, Learning about 3D printing can be a steep learning curve as nothing seems to go right. During lockdown I helped our local district by printing visors for our medical practices, with a printer going non stop for about a month taught me a lot about printing and setting up printers.

I’ve printed a couple of radio control planes, flexible bendy toys for my grandson, brackets for mudguards on my bike and loads of other stuff. Also there is so much stuff on Thingiverse..

If designing parts yourself then there’s learning about cad drawing and that’s another headache all by itself..

When I was called up for the 3rd time I was doing shift work and my Jury service fell across my rostered holidays, my company wouldn’t allow me to move my holiday so i sent off my shift rota to the courts with the times I was available. All came back sorted and I got off work for 2 weeks.

Not sure how Jury service is going to work in our current climate..

It was there a few weeks ago. Not used the software for a few years, I thought it was very good (apart from the licensing of new maps) much better than Memory Map it was in competition with at the time.

Second recommendation on a Epson V600, did my late FIL slide collection about 1200 slides (colour correction etc on about half of them) took a very long weekend. Made into a CD for his sons and daughters..

Love my varifocals, but found walking up and down stairs needs more care, looking over the shoulder reversing the car is a pain trying to look out of the edge of the glasses. You’ll be like a nodding dog trying to find the focus point to start with but it becomes natural after a short while.

My mum used to work in a Patent office during the 30’s and 40’s and she remembered typing up the patent for Cats Eyes.

You need Gunk degreaser, it dissolves oil then washes away.

I’ve found Gunk to be one of the better ones…

Had that in 1976… A month in a Hospital ward for other TB sufferers, I had a room to myself. The drugs I think I was on was Rifampicin the other Streptomycin, which I think I took for about 18 months (maybe less, it was a long time ago) one side effect was making my wee bright orange… Used to have regular chest X-rays but none now for many years. One downside is my lung capacity is below ‘normal’
Mine was picked up from one of the ‘mass x-ray’ vans that used to tour the towns many years ago..

Be careful if the front seats have airbags built into the seats, you’ll need special covers for them..

Been selected for jury service three times now..
1st time didn’t get selected at all
2nd time had a case of buggery between 2 brothers that had happened about 20 years previously, not nice..
3rd time had a stabbing and also a injury caused be careless driving.

As other have said, take a book/big paper/kindle.. Casual dress code, nothing offensive on T shirts etc, jeans are perfectly acceptable.. Not sure about the canteen situation now, they were just closing ours on my last Jury service.

I enjoyed the experience, it was interesting to watch and be part of the process.

Reminds of the dopey woman who bought a lovely country cottage next to a village cricket green, then complained about the cricket on sundays

    Would that be this one….

I have recently ripped my warm air out and replaced with a wet system. I did like warm air, it was quick to warm up, great for drying clothes in the winter, but ours didn’t heat the bathroom and only one of the 3 bedrooms. Also a bit noisy as the fan was in the lounge and heating was very erratic, either hot as the fan kicked out heat then cold till you waited for it to come back on. Sorry to see it go but the new wet system makes the house so much more comfortable..

17.5 volts is far too high and could cause damage to the electronics, voltage should be around 14 to 14.5 volts when engine running. I suspect the alternator if its giving out that voltage..

Have had big phobias with dentist, had teeth removed using gas in my early teens due to overcrowding and fillings without pain relief using those drills driven by long cords around pulleys on articulated arms. Never went at all around my 20’s and 30’s. Only went for extreme pain to have rotten teeth removed. I suppose around my 40’s I found that dentists now had pain relief and proper drills.. Now don’t fear them at all. Our dentist is a lovely young lady very gentle manner, quite chatty always asking about my biking.
No idea how many fillings but loads….

Oh, and of course, one that can be easily mounted OUTSIDE OF THE FIELD OF VISION ON THE WINDSCREEN!

It amazes me where drivers mount their sat navs, some stuck right in front of them..

Do either of you have a smart phone, lots of ‘free’ or paid sat navs for them..

Whereabouts is he staying, I’ve hired a bike from these guys
http://easyriders-bikecenter.com/e/index.html a few years ago, reasonable bikes.
I’m out there myself next year and might be checking out if they rent from Las Playitas, but suspect you have to be staying there to rent from them.
